  4. because I feel too lazy at the moment to make a big "spoiler" post... I'll just give you my opinion spoiler free... I loved this episode. I really really did... why? because I don't know if anypony else felt it, but the writing had a very "lauren faust" feel to it... I have to admit, while I enjoyed season 3, I couldn't help but feel that the show's mood in the writing was different...it felt a bit too "try hard" at times, and felt a bit watered down...but this episode!...this one feels like the older season 1's did...it had an interesting premise, featured all of the mane 6...and made some really great jokes, references...but mainly, it had a more "adult" feel to it...and by that, I mean it had a feel that was more matured and intelligent...which is what I loved about season 1, 2...this episode was a great reminder to me about why I love this show so much. Also big congrats to Josh Haber, the writer for this episode. I'm pretty sure this is his first story in the series, so I'm very stoked to see more of his work! Out of 5? I give this a 4.2...a pretty solid episode...
  5. Well lets see...I get up every day, acknowledge the fact that I'm still alive...breathe a sigh of relief, and continue on with the day. If I work, then I go to work...if not, I'm hanging out with my wife...if she's at work or asleep, I'm producing music, browsing here, or other forums...answering fan questions/label emails/personals, or other things of importance, and then I stay up till like 5am, and finally go to bed when I'm so exhausted that I can't even remember my name... next day, I repeat the process...so yeah...life n' stuff...
  6. I'm open, but I don't walk around in my vinyl stallion cosplay everywhere...I may wear a shirt on occasion, and if someone asks, I'll tell them...but I'm not really a "Celestia's Witness" type of person.
  7. I enjoy Joydrop, tegan and sara, Röyksopp, Sigur Ros, and many others...(I love unique vocalists)
  8. I love fall and winter... BUT...only if there were no consequences... Y'see, my job gets really slow during winter, but it starts in fall...so money gets tighter, and I also have to worry about heating bills and such...If I didn't have to worry about any of that they'd be my favourite seasons of all time! Business is booming in the summer, But I hate hot weather, and am not really a fan of mega "bright" stuff...I'm more of the dark shape in the corner type of person... So yeah...fall and winter.
  9. funny enough, I agree with him to an extent...it did look weird and a bit offsetting...almost "too digital" but if they can polish it up a bit more and even it out with the other animation then I'll be satisfied! (but PLEASE hasbro/dhx...get rid of those streamers!! Those terrible terrible bad graphics streamers!!! They look as stiff as steel drill bits from an industrial truck shop!)
  10. Ok everypony, take a seat...(or those who at least, will care to hear what will probably be a certainly long winded opinion on the episode...)
  11. I'm actually eating some habenero salsa/tortilla chips while typing this...(Small world!) But yeah, I love spicy stuff! I've eaten a habenero whole before...it was pretty intense...I love wings, salsas etc...so yeah deffo!
  12. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Thank CELESTIA for this thread... I thought I was the only one! There are SO many beautiful moments in this series... I feel also I should point out, that a bunch of it is due to Daniel Ingram's beautiful sound work... Some of his songs just kill me every time! (I also find the "crying" point is usually during a song's climax, or when a character hits a super emotional high note...celestia's song for example...gosh...celestia's song... I just can't watch that scene without tearing up! Same with Cadence and Shining Armour finishing off chrysalis in "a canterlot wedding!" The music gets to that special climax and then...boom. It hits you. Another noteable example is the cranky doodle episode. The end of that episode brings so much feels... Tears of beauty...it's a thing...like liquid pride, only better...
  13. lol, I just updated the post! Sorry for the misread! all should be good now!
  14. You can most DEFINITELY use my OC if you would like! :3 http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/brilliant-venture-r4956
  15. Welcome to the forum man! Enjoy your stay! (I too find minecraft awesome! I've never played it, but from what I've seen, it's as addictive as ponies!)
  16. I don't think the show supports polygamy... But on a serious note, I don't think you have to worry about that...the Cadence/Shining Armour thing was a one time occasion...maybe others will marry in the future, but I don't think any of the mane 6 will be in there anywhere...also, I don't think hasbro's had enough space between the last wedding yet...so you've got another few seasons before anything like that would be remotely possible...so you may relax and enjoy the show
  17. I am in a sense...like, I believe in God and the bible...but I'm not one to really go out of my way to tell someone about it...in other words, I'm not societies twisted "Christian." I don't believe in forcing my beliefs on others, and I'm not closed minded to other peoples opinions...I think the truth is no one really knows anything...we just have our faith...if we knew 100 percent, there'd be no need for faith. If I sit on a chair, how do I know it will support me and not turn into a rubber duck?...I don't know that...but I have faith that it won't happen, and that when I sit on the chair, it'll hold me. We just don't know...but through my experiences, I believe what I believe for a reason...(I've seen some amazing things in my life...) and that's good enough for me Glad to see a following like this has a good Christian audience though!
  18. And they all lived happily ever after...in shipping land...the end.
  19. at first, I was really really kinda upset...I was like..."No! They look silly on her! It's too soon! A PRINCESS??? WHY??? we're doomed!!!" but now....in all honesty...I kinda like the idea...and I see it fitting...here's the thing which I had missed...I posted my initial reaction after watching the entire series for the first time...no repeat episodes, just went in order and was mystified every time. So when the scene finally occured, I freaked out! but now having seen everything and re-watching the series...it all makes sense! She was being prepared from the start! Take her position in winter wrap up for instance...she didn't fit in with the regular ponies...she had the skill of organization and command, which earned her her place at the end of the episode! At the gala, she was greeting subjects with the princess...when she got rid of the Ursa minor, she semi-punished snips and snails, and then reacted the way "Trollestia" would with them all getting mustaches. But I think the biggest tip off was in the first episode...the very first one...Twilight is is the only other pony that contains the key to using all the elements...she held the final spark that powered the others up. Only other pony I know who can do that is Celestia herself...and of course, there were many more situations like this since then...especially in season 3! I think 3 seasons is long enough preparation for becoming a starting rank princess...they were just subtle about it. And that's the beauty of the show...it makes you think one way, and then at the end makes you go..."oh! That's what they meant!" So the TLDR...I hated it at first, but now...I think they did the right thing...I trust the writers, (Especially since amy keating rogers is returning to the show!) and I have a really good feeling about season 4...I may be wrong...but I think this will be a good thing.
  20. Well, I have a wife that enjoys MLP, and she goes like...everywhere with me...so I generally don't have to deal with it. Basically a freebie due to technicality!
  21. For me making music has always been about 2 things...Expression, and memory storage... I realize the second one sounds kinda weird, but hear me out... Firstly expression is pretty straight forward, I write what I'm feeling (Or listen to something similar) and I let that transpose into something emotional, with a story/background. I feel all music should be this way...written out of what the person is feeling...I'm so tired of seeing producers that make something just to become popular, or just for money reasons...music should stay personal. If others like it great! then do it. But if they hate it, also great! keep doing what makes you happy! (Of course that doesn't mean to ignore constructive critisism, hear everyone out! sometimes they do have good advice!) Second, Memory storage...I'm not really talking about hard drives or floppy disks here...(though they do relate) I'm talking about music, and mental memories...I believe with some music, it's like a good painting. It's capturing a moment in time that you can replay over and over again. A song that transports you somewhere in time or within your very mind that enables you to recollect, and re-live a certain experience. It took me one whole year to write my track "Abandoned City Dreams" because the whole story behind it was based off of this weird, yet peaceful dream I had about an abandoned city. I put every ounce of emotion/feeling into that track that I could, so every time I listen to it, I can have that same feelings I did in my dream. I can feel transported back to that abandoned city, and have that nostalgia of the experience...Easily reliveable any time I so choose. Listening to music is the same way...I love to listen to music that takes me places, or has emotions relateable to mine at the time...If I'm happy, I'll throw on some upbeat electro, some bouncey house, some chippy dubstep, or some happy hardcore and I'll be glad! If I'm sad/serious, I'll listen to some emotional trance, classical, hardstyle/gabber, IDM, ambient, brutal brostep to calm me down... There's a song for everything and everyone out there! you just have to find it! (Also, just in case you experience this...never let anyone tell you you're weak if you cry...I mean shoot, I cried at celestia's song in MMC, and I'm a grown man! I just found that scene and celestia's message beautiful...liquid pride is a necessary thing to keep us alive and well mentally...it's natural, and in my opinion...beautiful. A song that can make me tear up clearly reflects it as a work of art...never let anyone tell you different!)
  22. what is this...I don't even...my mind...is full of crazy now... like seriously...I don't even know where to begin... I think I'm gonna grab a yoo-hoo and go to my happy place...
