So I’m working on a My Hero Academia OC, and thought I’d share the name I’ve been working on with you guys.

The superhero name was easy. It’s “Dawn Breaks”, and her quirk is called Hard Light. She can gather and solidify photons in the environment.

But coming up with a suitably punny Japanese civilian name was SO HARD!! Not knowing the language is rough. I almost gave her an English given name. Between both her parents, she’s only a quarter Japanese, so I could have gotten away with it. But I think I got it down. So for now her name is...

Kin Mitsuhashi (or Mitsuhashi Kin if you want to be a weeb authentic). I also got the kanji and hiragana for it...

Kanji - 光橋金

Hiragana - みつはしきん

The kanji is where most of the effort went. It’s made up of the kanji for “light”, “bridge”, and “gold” respectively. I wanted it to be like the puns used in the canon characters’ names.
