Yeah, but at least Mario 64 has the excuse that it’s still an old game. Meanwhile Spyro Reignited is a modern remake, so all that nonsense should have been weeded out.

BUT but, I’ve only been playing it for like 30 minutes before my joycons died, and I refuse to play it in handheld mode. So I got to wait a bit before I jump in.

Ah. I thought you were referring to the original itself. I usually prefer to play in handheld mode myself, though playing on the TV is usually pretty neat.

I never grew up on the Trilogy so it's an (almost) completely new thing to me. Granted some of the game mechanics might have been used in other video games I've played, but with me the Spyro franchise was a one time thing with Enter the Dragonfly in the early 2000s
