  1. I tried creating an OC for the first time :) Feel free to comment on it!

  2. Hi there. After my first drawing attemps, I thought: Why not try to make an OC?^^ There are so many of them, but i tried to create something unique (I'm pretty sure I'm not the first one who thought of this, but at least i haven't found anything similar yet)... So here it is: Name: Feeloree Characteristics: -) is blind. -) Can sense emotions from living creatures around her. -) Magic skill isn't impressive, though Feeloree specializes in the "Shared Sight" spell. -) Lives in the forest. Personality: -) Not very talkactive, but knows excatly what to say when it is needed. -) The emotions in a city of ponies are quite overwhelming, this is why she rather chooses the company of animals. -) Kind, caring -) realistic -) is usually a bit closed up to other ponies Companion "Note": -) female -) Feeloree saved the young hummingbirds life when she was injured during a strong winter. -) She named her "Note" after her beautiful singing voice. -) Feeloree can use Note's eyes via the "Shared Sight" spell. The spell only works, if the target animal accepts it. -) Communication also via the spell by "sending" pictures and emotions. (is it right to call the bird "she" instead of "it"? hrml, my english...) Cutie Mark: -) HELP ME FIND ONE, please . It should somehow represent her ability to sense emotions. But I'm terribly lost on this one. There are so many cutie marks with hearts and stars already... Picture: Soo what do you think? -Felrora ps: Since english isn't my first language, feel free to correct me, if you see obvious mistakes...
  3. Must have been nice I guess you prepared those steps before class. Or did you paint them in class on your laptop? Anyways I'm sure this will help lots of people
  4. I can definatly see improvement
  5. can't believe I missed out on Saturday's episode till now. Oh my gosh..I actually like that one a lot

  6. good job is the background of your military-nightstrike picture from crysis3? ;P
  7. I absolutely love this... do you use more than 1 additional layer for the shading?
  8. This is why i said I'm not completly satisfied with the result^^ Maybe I'll work it over one day. But thanks for the tips anyways Glad to see you liking it @Aerodynas ------- I gave it a quick rework.. It's still not feeling right, gah... Guess I have to practice some more -_-
  9. Oh my god. You are 13 years old. Sorry but if your family is really judging you negatively for being a brony they just suck (unless you are not talking about your parents. For siblings it's kinda normal to pick on each other for no reasons). It's lame to judge a series like MLP just from its cover. If they wanna argue, they have to watch the whole series first... There is a reason why there's a huge community loving the show... I am having a headache right now..
  10. You are very welcome I wanted to do something for you anyways since I read that status update of yours about your life situation...
  11. Soo, here it is This is how I'd shade it Ofc this isn't the best method and I didnt put that much effort in it, but it works for me First off you start with creating a new layer and shade the whole painting with 50% grey. Set the opacity of the layer to 50%. Next try to think of a light direction. Which parts of will be brighter/darker than others? Generally round parts of the body are easy to shade since they will have the brightest part in the middle and the darkest parts on the edges (if that makes any sense). Now to the hair and stuff... and dont forget to use the blur and smudge tool a lot to make shadows look smoother (I'm also still pretty bad at that). and so on... Finish your picture by cleaning up all the excess grey (using the magic wand tool is a good option to do so)! And thats it Hope I could help you It was a real quick one, so I know its not that good....
  12. Hey, I know. I'm going to show you how I'd do it^^ I did that on NightmareCadence's thread too ;P but dont expect anything, I'm a noob...
  13. Cute I really like her and your pics before that, considering you are rather new at drawing stuff like me Have you ever considered to add some base shadings? It's pretty easy and might make your pics look even better Anyways, keep it up!
  14. Thanks for the tips I think I am already improving from that first drawing as you can see on the other ones I posted here since then.
  15. thank you Yeah I know. I blurred some parts like the inner wing and the hair cause I thought it looked better
  16. You are very welcome Feel free to ask if you need anything.
  17. Sure go ahead^^ The 2 things I forgot about are the green braceletes and the furry breast of callette I think. If you really want me to, I can try putting them up myself too ;P
  18. Hi! Since I couldn't decide what to draw next, I looked in the "request"-section and fullfilled a request for a Skylar+Callette (2 OCs) kissing picture. I am not completly satisfied with the result but I hope you like it
  19. Im gonna give it a shot. but dont expect too much Hi! sooo yeah... I know I made some mistakes concerning character design. But at least least I can say I tried ;P Hope you like it anyways... -Felrora
  20. Well written, even though I didnt get every single word with my school english ;P This might be completly wrong but does your story somehow reflect your current situation in life?^^ That you feel like you have missed something important? That you want to step out of the ordinary and make a change? Why am I asking this anyway... maybe you just like dark stories...
  21. Im bored...maybe I should draw something...

  22. Hi there NightmareCadence. Your drawing is actually good, you just need to use the tools you got I guess your tools (in Paint Tool SAI) are quite similar to mine (Photoshop), so here is a quick example on how to make a picture looking better by simply using 1-2 tools. I took your picture and used the Pen Tool. With this tool you can draw clear lines and curves by just using your mouse (I only used my mouse in those pictures). Then you just fill up the outlines using the Fill Tool and voila. It just takes 5min and it will look something like that: After that you might wanna create another layer and add some base shadows. Just chose a lightdirection and think which parts of the body might be darker than others. Use the Blur Tool to smooth it. When you are finished, it might look smth like that: And thats it. I didnt put much effort in this one, cause I gotta go sleep (It's 4:11am right now here). I hope you don't mind me doing this ;P You can keep the pictures if you like
  23. I don't agree with that statement. I started with a tablet (some days ago) and I mananged to do something with it. I havent drawn anything on paper before that in general. Also drawing on a tablet makes it easier to learn (for me at least). I can do mistakes as often as I want. I just draw until and erase until it looks right and I never have to start over. No offense btw
  24. I started some days ago as I bought a bamboo tablet 60€ werent too expensive and you usually don't have to pay for a software to draw with (paint tool sai is freeware and photoshop is easy to get for free too). Even if you dont buy a tablet, its possible to draw with your mouse only too since all you have to do is zoom in enough. I agree with everything you said above, but I would recommend to switch to the pc style to anyone (especially to the noobs like me ;P I'm pretty sure I'd get frustrated if I tried drawing traditionally). -Felrora
  25. Welcome Im sure you like it here. I joined only a few days ago and I rly enjoy!
