I really like your pony oc. She's a really believeable character and her mane is really unique without being outlandish. The only thing I'd tell you to fix would probably be the name as it's the only thing that seems out of place to me. Real people usually have a lot of talents and hobbies but only one or two things that they're really passionate about and choose to focus on--in Sketchbook's case, it seems like she has 3 talents that she's passionate about and that doesn't really seem unrealistic to me. You might want to consider making Sketchbook's name reflect all three of her talents or just two of her talents depending on which one she's passionate about and which ones are just hobbies she does in her spare time. Other than that, this OC is really well done and you did a fantastic job for your first time ! You should definitely keep up the good work

This is my OC...you'll have to excuse the weird filters. I took this picture with my phone since I drew it in a sketch pad and not on my computer, and I was messing around with the different photo-editing apps. This was the one I thought looked the nicest because the bad quality of the picture is somewhat masked by the filters...but not really Oh well xD lol. Anyways, there's a lot of really talented artists here ! I really loved looking at everyone's pictures >w<!! I just recently started drawing ponies, so constructive criticism is welcome :3c

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm definitely nervous about getting backlash--I don't mind constructive criticism either and tend to take it rather well, but I don't like it when people say your story is terrible just for the sake of being mean and degrading. I also have a hard time finishing stories because of this @_@ I'm glad I'm not the only one who has these feelings of self-doubt about pieces of writing/art.

Hello everypony, Does anypony have a difficult time overcoming intimidation when writing FiMfictions or drawing pony art? I've been wanting to write a fanfiction for a while now and have done a lot of brainstorming, but I find myself faltering simply from the sheer number of amazing FiMfictions out there. Even if I do decide to write the story just for myself, I still feel kinda like it's a bit of a hopeless endeavour. Does anypony else have this problem and if so, how do you overcome it? -ChibbyBrony

I think you should wait for the story to stop spinning before you stop it. If your story ends too abruptly and the loose ends aren't all tied together at the end, it will feel anti-climatic and forced. If the spinning is tying up all the loose ends, then end it with a big bang but if the story is just spinning and spinning (even if it is in a good way), forcing it to come to a stop might not get you the results you're after.

What about Taras? It means "monster" in Greek (Not very dragony, but dragons kinda fall under the "monster" catagory.)

Well, instead of saying that she's "quick to anger," I would just come out and say that she's bipolar. I know exactly what you mean when you use that word because my sister is bipolar so for me that's a lot clearer. You might want to consider explaining what bipolar disorder is though, because a lot of people might write your character off if they don't understand what it actually is or if you don't portray the disorder correctly in your writing. Just be very careful when writing ! Other than that your character sounds great and I'm excited to see more of her in the future.

So, you think that it would be helpful if I tried to incorporate not only his personality and talents, but maybe something about myself to try and think of a name for him? I think your OC is really great. The only thing that is a little inconsistent is that she's quick to anger but doesn't get easily offended. I think you should define "quick to anger" better because I don't think you're going for a character who just blows up at every little thing instantly (at least that's not the impression that I got from what you described). I also really like that you used her temper as a lead in for her special talent: that was very creative. Hope this was helpful, nice job with the OC

Twi and Shy blend? What do you mean by that? I really like the name Ash Willow (I had no idea Ash meant wisdom, which really connects to his cutie mark because in a Druid symbol of knowledge.
