I'm not convinced though. Battle Royales are a trend today, so that would mean copying this trend is unoriginal and uncreative. That means PUBG, Fortnite, Ring of Elysium, Rules of Survival, COD BO4, Realm Royale, and Darwin Project are uncreative because they decided to put the ever-growing trend of the battle royale genre from H1Z1 into their game.

I still think Fallout 76 is creative, but maybe you are right. I'll have to try the game for myself, and who knows - maybe I'll hate it as much as I do Fortnite (I really hate that game).

They do things to differentiate themselves from others in the genre, which is much easier to do with the Battle Royale genre than it is the Online Survival RPG because the elements are more set in stone than they are for a Battle Royale game. Some of the games in the genre are pretty creative (Ark in particular), but I'm really not convinced that Bethesda will find a mechanic or a feature to implement to make a really creative product. I could see radiation mechanics being put in, but aside from that I don't see much.

I hate the entire Battle Royale genre, even Realm Royale (even though it was derived from Paladins, and I find that game to be almost as enjoyable as TF2 was before Meet Your Match). The whole genre is garbage, PUBG especially.

@~Dusky~ Well, I hope Fallout 76 doesn't turn out to be another Metal Gear Solid Survive like you said. Anyways, I think this is a good place to leave it, since I can't really argue any further without more knowledge of the game. When it does come out, I'll have to see.
