If you wanna avoid the violent types just stay away from tumblr or 4chan. The violent part of these fanbases (again this was also over MLP) tend to stick to these websites.

I'd say not as good as S1's finale, but I did thought the S5 finale was superior to S4 considering it didn't had to rely on PIS in order to move the plot as intended. Starlight Glimmer's fast reformation, AU presents started to become filler at the end of it, and confusing questions of time travel do bring it down however.
