    bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png So the biggest thing that happened in the week that just went by was that my mother celebrated her birthday~! :kirin: It was a nice little get-together with the family. I bought some gifts for her, but they won't be here until a few days later because I ordered them online. Amazon has fairly fast shipping, so here's hoping I won't wait long.

But also, part of me was afraid of watching Tokusatsu over the weekend. Though in retrospect, I shouldn't have been afraid... Read my thoughts on the BoonBoomger episode to find out more.

    bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png But I did get to do some fun things~! Project on my model kit is still moving forward. And I saw the trailer for My Adventures With Superman SEASON 2! :pinkie: I am so glad that has been renewed for more! Such a great iteration of Supes deserves it.

Because we just got set up for a mystery about who their leader is and why the BoonBoomgers were formed, and none of that was answered. Once I see the next episode, I can call myself satisfied. For now, I am still in the game. Also, this episode had a nice little detail that I think most fans probably missed the first time around.

    bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png Gotchard 32: Golden Flaws. W110H8u.png This episode made me THIS close to abandoning Gotchard; and I'm still close to doing so! In other words, this show is now on borrowed time. The show basically just made Kamen Rider Legend canon; and we didn't need that. I all ready hated the time travel episode for it's dumb logic, but I could ALMOST defend it and see past it. This? Why is there any tension at all if Legend exists? He can summon the power of all the previous Riders! Unless the show is saying Gotchard is somehow stronger than ALL of his predecessors, which I strongly disagree with. Thankfully, Legend never appeared, and the rest of the episode was actually really good. Honestly, I just wished the would have left Kamen Rider Legend behind. The episode would have been perfect without that connection. And instead of being hyped, I'm a little scared for the next episode. But who knows, maybe they'll write in a narrative explanation that makes Legend's inclusion a bit easier to accept.

      I'm glad to hear your mother's birthday went well! :rarity: A lot of series – I hope the next episodes are even better (probably more likely for some series than others)! :squee:

      I probably won't be starting a new series soon myself (with around 700 WB cartoons left). :adorkable:

      Thanks for replying~! And good luck, my friend. :eager: If it ever gets tedious watching those cartoons, mix it up a little. Watch some out of order. Mix the fun ones in with the boring ones. Or maybe watch something else every once in a while.

      Thanks, my friend! :D I think I'll stick with the chronological order – it's fascinating to see all the firsts with various characters, gags etc. (or "etk" as Sniffles would pronounce it) :P I might take a break at some point (though I haven't felt the need to do so yet), but I think the many characters featured bring enough variety (unlike the first year or so when there was just Bosko). :squee: The late 60s might take more of an effort when I get there, but I've never seen most of them, so at least the ones I predict to be weaker are new to me.

    Many of these, I definitely remember. Some I don't. I think by the time I came around, some of the more controversial cartoons were banned from television. Others, like Slap Happy Pappy, I just barely saw. Also, is it possible that Fievel from An American Tail was inspired by cartoon characters like Sniffles and other similar mouse characters?

    People always tell me "Don't use anime to learn Japanese". Lots of characters in anime talk in a very rude way. Most normal people in Japan don't talk like anime characters. The proper thing to do is go to school and learn the correct way before you learn from anime. The same is true the other way around. English speaking people do not talk like cartoon characters; and humans do not use the word "everypony". Go to school and learn proper English first. Cartoons can be helpful, but they should never replace a proper education.
