Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Red Edition.
[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
Feel free to leave a song request. Your song will eventually be featured in a future Weekly Musings entry!
Hello, my crowd! I have a good reason for this being late! ...I forgot.
What an amazing week! Got new shoes and a pair of new shirts, ordered a new ramp for my mother's shed, and I got an awesome green shirt in the mail.
The last one doesn't fit as well as I was hoping it would. Maybe after a wash, it will fit better.
Pop culture stuff~! Saw the newest trailers for Minecraft and the new Shrek movie. I hate how the villagers look like a freaky Elmer Fudd. Shrek's redesign? I actually don't mind it. Feels like a fusion between his original design and the beta version that was suppose to be voiced by Chris Farley. But Donkey looks wrong, for some reason. Does he have roots in his hair/mane? Last of all, Toyfair. We got to see the He-Man x Thundercats crossover, which is everything I hoped it would be. However, the real main attraction was the Playmates Power Rangers toys. Changes aside, they are really going all-in on this retro revival stuff. It looks wat better than I thought it would~! I still think the market is flooded with MMPR toys all ready, but maybe this will just be a starting point for many other things in the future.
Sonic Boom S2 12-15: Finally in Boom.
It's strange that this show would casually drop Angel Island and echidna lore when this is suppose to be a different canon. I actually liked the episode with the mech suit, and surprisingly I liked the Fiend/Friend Bot episode too. Og is a strange character, but I like what he brings to the table; I bet he'd get along well with Big the Cat.
That's it for now, my crowd.
Take care, and make jingles instrumental again.
You know me, I love when songs duet with other languages. This is a mix of English and Japanese; granted it relies a bit more on the English side of it; but a fusion is a fusion and we celebrate those here. This is "Take Me To The Beach" by Imagine Dragons ft. Ado.

TOKUSATSU MUSIC HIGHLIGHT:"GoGo Sentai Boukenger" (Rumble Squadron Boukenger) by NoB.
AND!
"NEXT LEVEL" by Yu-Ki.
Adventures can happy quickly~!
Can you tell that anniversary seasons happen at different times? The year is 2006, and what a year of shifts and premieres! In Sentai, we went from a magical motif to a mechanical motif. Boukenger was an anniversary series celebrating 30 years of Super Sentai. NoB had a minor musical debut in MagiRanger, yet got a full glow up here in Boukenger. His voice and rock style are so instantly recognizable! In Kamen Rider, we went from an organic, grounded motif to a high-tech motif. Kamen Rider Kabuto was not an anniversary series, but a very epic and wild journey none the less. I can't tell if it's famous or infamous. Yu-Ki makes her tokusatsu debut here as well, going straight to singing the opening theme. Whether you prefer searching the world for dangerous treasures or fighting evil mimics with superspeed, you're guaranteed a fun ride with either show. Neither has an official international release, but Kabuto did get a mostly serviceable English dub in the Philippines. Good luck tracking that down.Full Speed A-GoGo, my crowd.
