Trilby was touched to see both @Emerald Heart Emerald and @Dah Onion Eater Ghostie doing their parts. Though he is a little surprised to see Shiny reaching out to @Wizard Titanium in a friendly way. "Uh... Everypony? I think this is working. Does anypony have any candles? We could maybe just light a few and put them around Shiny for now. I have a draconequus to challenge." Trilby says, still holding his propane torch.

"?? Ah! Huh?! Who?! Where?! Crissy~!" Trilby reaches out. Before he knew it, his new friend was gone. Any conversation they were having was cut short. However, before he could give chase, Trilby feels a shiver run down his spine as a draconequus speaks into his ear. It was clear, Discord overheard his whispered conversation with Croissanto. "Great golden power rings!" He readies himself to face up against the chaotic mastermind, only to see him vanish. "No! DISCORD!!" Trilby calls out, reaching out to where he previously was. But it's too late, he's gone. Trilby huffs. "You know, I am beginning to think I should have taken a drama class." Trilby thinks to himself before he goes to check on the others. Trilby finally spots Emerald and Titanium both. He doesn't have much time. He runs over and puts a hoof on both of their shoulders. "I forget where I heard this, but if it helps... Giggle at the ghosties. Well, besides the one named Ghostie. I'll handle the rest." Trilby keeps moving forward. Trilby stands near Shiny, or whatever she has become. He is afraid. His hooves shake. There is hesitation in his eyes. "Shiny..." However, one thing snaps him out of his fear. He barely heard what Croissanto said, but he did catch something about fire. "...Fire? I was just using fire a second ago. Oh Celestia, please let this work!" Not wasting a second, Trilby runs over to his supplies. Digging through the cake, he finds it, his little propane torch. He used it earlier when he made a hat for Discord, giving it a lightly burned finished. "I really hope this works... I do this for you, Croisssanto. And Shiny too. And for all the hat sales I hope to make!" Returning to Shiny's side, he gets her attention as best as he can. "H-h-HEY! SUPER SHINY! I have your entertainment right here. Straight from the mad hatter's theater!" Trilby is still shaking in his nonexistent boots, but still lights the propane torch. It's just a small blue flame. He doesn't aim it at any pony, but he holds it ups o Shiny can see it. "Come on, pony, light my fire~ Try to set the night on fire~" Trilby nervously says to himself as he slowly walks towards Shiny.

Needless to say, everything was happening so very fast! Trilby stands frozen in place, holding Croissanto in his hooves as he watches this unfold. It is revealed the cake is laced with poison joke. Pinkie Pie has gone silent. @Shiny Silvermoon Shiny has transformed into... something. @Dah Onion Eater Ghostie is protecting @Dynamo Pad Dynamo and trying to be the hero in all this. @Emerald Heart Emerald is not in sight right now, but hopefully she is safe. Discord is watching, the devious mastermind behind it all. And here Trilby is, stuck in the middle, one of the few ponies left who hasn't eaten a single crumb of the cake. "Sweet Celestia, I did not sign up for ANY of this! I just wanted to be a judge and maybe advertise my hat store a little... Looks like it's just you and me now, Croissanto. Although, I wonder..." Trilby leans in and whispers to his new, living puppet friend. "What do you say, Croissanto? Do you think if I challenge Discord to a comedy battle, he'll leave us all alone and fix all the damage he has caused? Playing the hero is not my style. I'm not a knight, I'm not one of Twilight's friends, but maybe... Maybe if I can put on a funnier show than Discord, I can earn his respect, and he'll leave this place in peace. Should I do it?" Trilby asks quietly, planning his next course of action.

Trilby hears his name being called. "Did the show contin--OOF!" Before he can finish his sentence, he gets hit by a flying puppet. Holding it up, he is surprised. "Croissanto? What the... YOU'RE MISSING A CHUNK OF YOU!! This looks like a job for an artisan." Wasting no time, Trilby gets to work. First, he examines Criossanto, making note of the different materials. Then, he gets out a small power washer and cleans Croissanto. "To start, I need to clear away any years of weathering so that I can see the material's true color. ...Ah! I think I have some matching material with me." Trilby gets out some various fabrics, including one that looks a lot like Croissanto's body. As he begins to sew, he hears Pinkie Pie complimenting his work, and looks over to see if anything important is happening. Seeing the cannon go off, Trilby dodges. He protects Croissanto, his hat, and the fabrics he picked out by doing some expert flips and lunges. When it is over, Trilby lands gracefully on his hooves. "...? Oh wow! That's the first time I ever did that! I guess it's true what they say, a pony can do anything when their fight-or-flight response is trigged. What did I dodge anyways?" Trilby looks at everyone. "More cake? Heh. Isn't that a little old hat by now?" Trilby laughs at his own joke, bet then notices the rest of his hat supplies are covered in cake. "NO!! Not my hat-making supplies! When will the madness stop?!" Trilby falls to his knees. Trilby looks at Croissanto, suddenly afraid. "...Do I even want to know how you said all that while you were in my hooves? Well, nevermind. Nothing I can do now but finish my job and make you delicious again." With the supplies and tools Trilby saved from a cake batter burial, he gets to work. First, he sews some more material onto Croissanto, replacing the parts that Discord ate. Now he looks like a brand-new puppet! You can't even tell that he was chewed seconds ago. "And now, the finishing touch..." Using some spare straw and the last of the fabrics, Trilby makes a small cowboy hat and puts it on Croissanto's head. "There. Now you're all better! Or should I say, freshly baked?" With a smile, Trilby walks over to Shiny and presents her with the fully repaired Croissanto. "Here yo go, good as new."
