    I'm interested in fantasy as a whole. Games, books, movies and of course TV shows and Anime. My favorite example is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, a mix of fantasy "science," great humor, the importance of balance, military powers and great characters set in a very early 1900s style universe. Of course My little pony is a great example too but I didn't have to specify that here I imagine.

    So I just sat and thought about the Pokémon Magikarp... It's said to evolve when it's able to jump mountains right? So imagine that as your magikarp levels it's splashs actually send it higher and higher in the air, and when it learns tackle, it's splash jump thing is now so powerful it can actually be considered an attack, and when it learns flail, just the act of splashing turns into a literal flail. And in the end it evolves because it literally splashes and jumps over a mo...

      Magikarp/Gyrados is a weird couple of pokemon. From weak and useless to over-powered but almost useless since it is flying/water but gets no flying attacks and it's water options are kind of limited. Despite that much raw power it often winds up relegated to aquatic HMs if anything.
