  1. @@Randimaxis,

Oh come on, this was just silly.

Ziggy caught a quick glance of somepony looking oddly towards her and Dax when he mentioned it, but she could really see what the point were in being like that. Sure, Dax might be a Blackwater and yeah, stories went what happened to those that tried to get near one of them, but that wasn't Dax' fault, and having to hide with weird behaviour like this was just a wrong way of handling things in her mind.

Granted, she had not heard the whole story of when he had been made to fire others before so she were not fully informed, but it was unlikely to have changed her opinion on things. Ziggy was the sort who hated having enemies and loved having as many friends - or tolerable acquaintances at least - as possible around her. It made the days better.

But oh well, she had made Dax play along with one of her things, it was just fair that she played along with his. Though next time, she'd just... Grab him and squeze him until ponies stopping looking weirdly or he reached a critical stage from lacking air, whatever would happen first. No idea if it'd work, but it was a samall thought for now anyway. If the day came, she'd perhaps think of something else.

"Yeppers, nothing wrong there, though I'd still say you could use some more meat on your bones."

Ziggy took a mouthful of the food on her plate whilst looking at him with an amused glimmer in her eyes and a satisfied smile. She hadn't given him a physical, nor likely would have said that if it came to it since Dax looked to be perfectly fine, but he had looked kinda silly, and she liked to be a bit silly back. Not too silly though. The last time she had given her all was still spoken about in weird tones and with raised eyebrows at the medical school she had gone to in Las Pegasus, and it hadn't been a fun aftermath.

Besides, she didn't want to be fired for something like that. If she had to be sacked, then it should be because she really messed something up, not because she glued Mr. Blackwater's hoof to his head or something like that.

Whilst I am welcoming nearly everypony in this thread, I will really appreciate if you would say so in the OOC chat here that you wanted to join first. It makes it easier to help find writing partners for you, or get to learn a little about your OC's since there's no link to bioses in your signatures. :)

So let's have it here then: Welcome to the thread. ^^ If you could please, could you tell us a little about your characters so we had some grounds to work with? Such as appearance and race (and if pony, what type), and other things you might find important. ^^

That being mostly exactly what timeline your OC is in currently (I think the morning after the night the others RP in, which is fine of course, but I need to be sure) and if your OC is aiming to stay in Manehatten for what you have planned, as we do have our RP here stated as being in and around the Ponyville area. If you aim for that area in the course of your RP, I can work with that, but again, I just need to be sure about things here. :)

From you, I really need to know the type of pony your OC is, appearance and again, a timeline. It might be stressed a bit, I know, but it helps knowing who is free or who is doing something you could join in on, as well as having an idea what way to approach you. :)

Last took a few steps inside the castle and looked at it like she was bored. It might seem slightly out there or creepy for some, but right now all she saw were a roof over their heads and a place to get some rest, and with what they'd all been through, they could use that.

After a few seconds she turned around, looking at them all expectingly. She could have just gone on first with no real issue, but she had a couple or three to watch out for by order of her majesty, so she couldn't distance herself too much from them. Not yet anyway.

Inside the portal, Vivid and Briar walks over to Charlie, though Vivid leads the word of the two of them once more.

"Yes, we should get moving. The quicker we can get the preparations over with, the better."

Omen looks a bit at the telescope case in silence, then opens her mouth slightly. Much like if a frog had ejected it's tongue towards a target, a completely dark, long, prehensile tongue shot out and wrapped a few times around the case before lifting it up in front of Omen. In a sense, it could also look like she had just shot a tendril or tentacle from her mouth, though the end result was the same.

"If you're hungry, we should get to her soon."

The voice in Serenade's head hadn't changed, which wasn't really surprising considering that Omen didn't speak using her mouth as much as thoughts like this.

From what could be heard around them, Ziggy wasn't near them yet, so she was likely still looking for an open food place. Or had gotten distracted by something shiny. She seemed like the type that would have episodes such as that.

Ah, so That's why Vivid had stopped him.

Briar had been focused on other things, such as Priestess' friend and the potential *what ifs* that were associated with him, and had forgotten the part about him and Vivid dreaming, not actually being there. It was a new experience to try this dream-walking for him and it could be seen as details that he couldn't have been aware of, sure, but still it made logical sense now that he had a chance to think about it.

The thoughts about what could have happened if he had tried to leave the gate came afterwards, ranging from simply being repelled to him evaporating, though he shook them off when he heard Priestess going into a run. Though she'd likely not notice, he turned towards where he could hear her galloping away and raised a hoof, waving towards her with a smile.

Outside the portal, Last hadn't answered Crescent right away when he asked what was keeping the others, but soon after, when priestess went into her gallop, she opened her mouth and gave a reply to that whilst narrowing her open eye, prepared for whatever would happen when the fox came charging at them.

"Can't say what kept 'em, but here's two of them rushing through at least."

The more she saw, the more Last felt like she should intervene and do something about about Shaman. The flickering had been one thing, but right now it seemed as if he were draining Priestess, and no matter if that was voluntary it still made her suspicious about things.

However, it still wasn't the time. None of them had done anything that would require her to intervene properly just yet, though she got the feeling that if this kept going on down the road it was now, it wouldn't take all that long before she would have to.

Last sped up, wandered past everypony without saying a word and out of the portal, over to Seamore and greeted him with a small nod before she turned around, getting a better overview of things. She'd figured that she might as well be prepared for them out here, as well as making sure that if something was around that wasn't supposed too outside, Seamore wouldn't have to deal with it alone.

Fro what she could see, Vivid and Briar had stopped up a meter or two from the exit, with vivid looking over towards Priestess and Shaman. It was likely to wait for them to go outside so that Charlie wouldn't be stuck to the stick for much longer, but she wasn't a shrink. Might be that Vivid had just found the magic drain interesting. Hard to tell with... Whatever she was.

Priestess had said the word Shinigami about her before, but Last'd be damned if she knew what that was. Some kind of demon was her best bet, but she wasn't sure that was true since her majesty had not asked her to watch out for this one too. She would have asked her to do that to a demon if that was, right? Demons were bad news for all she knew at least, so if this one had been... Bah, not worth thinking about. She had her orders, and it didn't include this one. Odd as she were, there wasn't a point for her to worry about at this point, so she'd rather keep her eye on those that were.

With that, Ziggy rose into the air and zoomed off again, though this time she wasn't gonna come back.

Meanwhile, Omen had closed the portal again and began to walk forward, following the path leading them towards town in Serenade's pace. After a little while in silence, Omen turned her head towards the weighed down pony Siren again with her eyes wandering between both her and the items she was carrying.

    "Do you need help?"

At Ponyville, Ziggy got into sight in the sky and looked down at the few lights here and there in town. Night was not normally when a lot of ponies was up and around, and a smallish town like this likely didn't have a lot of waking ones that made for late night things being open, but... Ooh, That looked promising.

She saw someplace where a few ponies had just wandered out from holding something they were chewing on. It didn't look like restaurant food or something alike that, but hey, even fast food or snacks was something, right? Might as well check it out and be sure.

Sanctus wasn't much for wandering towards the forest, and especially not at this time of the night, but she was a bit curious and to be fair, as long as somepony kept an eye on Gold for a bit longer it should be okay after all. It was still a bit of time before she had to be to work, if at all (depended on night injuries) and as long as they didn't hear any howling...

She heard something above them and looked up, seeing that not far from where they had been a few minutes before, a large, pink pony was swooping down in a weird pattern towards... Oh, she couldn't remember the name. Some fast food place that sometimes was open at odd hours, but the name escaped her right now.

Perhaps she could see as they wandered past. Her and Gold would have to walk roughly the same way back they had just come from to get to the forest where the odd sound from before had been, so she could have a glance when it were, and perhaps see who the weird flier were. She couldn't remember Ponyville having any pink Pegasi that flew like that, and if it was a tourist then this was really a weird time of day to visit.

    Wauv, what a gathering today!

Ziggy wasn't often at the lunch trailer cause she were mostly eating mostly for herself in her office so she were ready if something happened, so she wasn't used to seeing many ponies gathered. The few times when she did, it usually were timed so that most of them were done eating or she got there a bit early, so hitting the right time when a lot of ponies were here were really interesting and kinda fun to see.

She waved happily at the ones who greeted her with a big grin on her face, the smells drawing her towards the line for the food after a bit. She wasn't there at first for that really, just to see if anypony would know where Dax were, buuuuut... It smelled so Good! It likely didn't hurt if she just had a little bit of a lunch break either, right?

After getting through the line and having her own plate of yummies, Ziggy looked around for a place to place herself so she could eat. Her height helped give her an overview, but many of the tables were well packed. Well, except the one table where Dax sat, but the one right next to him looked like it might sooon get a free sp- Wait, what?

Looking back at the table she saw him again: Dax, sitting lonely all by himself atand poking to his food with everypony else looking like they avoided him. Sure, she knew that there was likely a reason for that if the stories were true, but come on! it wasn't nice to just leave him all alone like that.

Before anypony could stop her, or Dax take notice of her, she were over at him and loomed over him like the shadow of a giant whilst she leaned over him, bowing her neck in a half-bow so that she ended up face to face with him, though she were technically upside down. Normally she achieved this by just flying over a pony on her back, but she were carrying a plate, so it wasn't that simple here. Might still be possible, sure, but in the moment this had been what she had gone with as she looked at Dax with a warm smile and a voice that sounded like it might spawn kittens and rainbows any second.

"I look for a place, to eat and relax, and who do I face but our own little Dax?"

It wasn't mocking in any way, but her rhyming side did take over at times, and in the impulse-controlled paths of her brain that worked when she started to talk in rhymes, this had sounded right. Besides, most things were just a matter of How you said it, and not the words themselves.

Before he'd have a chance to answer, she had zoomed over to the other side of the table and put her plate down so that she were facing him, the grin not faltering from her face for a second.

Whilst Vivid had wandered near the front with Seamore and couldn't see what went on further behind, Last didn't miss was what going on with Priestess since Princess Luna had after al asked her to watch both her and Missklang. Or well, it was not Priestess herself that was the issue, her friend were. The static, or whatever you could all it, made her suspicious about Shaman, and she made a mental note that during this travel she'd have to keep a better eye on him, just in case. Anything or anypony that travelled hidden tended to be bad news after all.

Perhaps she wouldn't have been so keen to just watch and instead demanded answers if she had heard what Briar did though. He had kept somewhat near them, and this combined with his better hearing, made him vaguely hearing what was whispered from Charlie. The word Changeling.

He wasn't mentioning it, or doing anything about it. Both because it wasn't his place to judge considering his talk with Void Stalker a few days prior and his guardian role around Brittle, and because he was not 100% certain that it was what he heard. The word had been low, and others were talking after all, so it might be that he had simply misheard things, and considering what Void had learned him of other ponies normal attitude towards Changelings, it wasn't a good accusation to be slinging around in case it wasn't true. And even if it were, what right had he to spill the beans on that?

No, it was better to just ignore that and move past it, though by the hoof that was suddenly put in front of him to make him stop walking, it wouldn't be literally walking past things.

"Our road stops where theirs continue."

They were near the portal that would lead them out of this dream, and she could see Seamore clearly from here after he had exited as the first one of them, yet her, Briar and Charlie had things to do in the dream world so they couldn't move past. Not to mention that they might quite literally couldn't move past it, as the dream world was likely the only thing that made sure they had a workable form and trying to exit would just end with them vanishing and their bodies in a coma.

She hadn't been in a situation like this before, so what would happen she wasn't sure about. She was just sure that trying to leave would more than likely be a horribly stupid move for her and Briar.

The harmonic part may seem odd to some, and it was not a widely known fact unless you had ever actively hunted demons or planned to do so, but the serene nature of that school were harmful like a slow poison. The longer she'd be exposed, the more it would affect her.

Infusing a cube and putting him inside a ragdoll of a body was easy. It was akin to simply tearing a soul from a functional body and then put an infused object around the neck of the empty husk. it worked, but it was not an actual life. You could not breathe, eat or sleep right, and neither could you pass on your genes if a mare caught your eye. You would basically be like the drawing Missklang had shown, but squishy.

He would have a fully functioning body with no mechanical parts or vessel within a vessel to control for him like he was a puppeteer, and it would be done soon. "It is a fair point. Friends should be chosen with some care amongst those you meet, as friends are not just those who have spoken with you for a time, but somepony that you can trust and confide in., or come to for aid in a dire time. Perhaps the time will come where I can count myself amongst those for you, Priestess, but time will tell that. And really, being an acquaintance is a good place to start for anypony.

It is unfortunate that our time here seems to be short so that I cannot get to know you a bit better Shaman, but we all have things to do after all it seems. Yet who knows? Perhaps when I wake up and rejoin the group, you will still be in the vicinity and have some spare time."

"Impressive. Perhaps that cube can be of some use if it turns out my share of the chaos venom and some of the web doesn't contain enough energy in the end."

She wandered closer, past the cube and whispered into Missklang's ear, not wanting to share her deal with everypony just yet.

"As for your question, Charlie wants a body. So I need you to weave the parts I gather and prepare together, using the creation aspect of your magic to make it one and have the life energy provided flow through and settle whilst I stitch body and soul together."

Pure creation could do it potentially, yes, but some magic had the misshap of stopping working is the caster did, or needing a constant magic flow to stay in the shape. Whilst she couldn't guarantee that Charlie would not end up with a fluent form of some kind just yet, having the parts in advance meant that the creation would enhance what was there and make it work no matter the state of the caster.

It was not a pleasant thing to gather for. if she had to get things freshly, and she did not have a potentially willing core of life to draw energy from, it would be a trade off. Life for life, and she doubted Charlie would be much in for that. Her solution now were more elegant, but it would still require some... Moral flexibility so to speak, but she would cover that when Charlie met her *friend* soon. It was better to wait with that until it was too late for him to get cold hooves.

"Chaos is a curious mixture of destruction and creation. Much as it can make anything be, it can also remove nearly anything, and most users of this school focus on either creation or destruction. Few are those who, such as Discord, have a certain amount of harmony in things. An order in the chaos if you will.

You seem confident you can do this, though when the time comes I better teach you a few things about the sort of creation I need. Even if you sound like a relatively stable chaos user, making something and weaving creation into a subject is not the same. Much like what the spider did when it replaced it's leg, it's a special angle that you might find a use for another time. You never know when you, or something you care about might loose an extremity after all."

It was the issue with chaos, that it was so unpredictable. Some would use it simply to remove everything, whilst others would be able to create with ease, yet not have an easy time removing it. Finding the balance in that was what she meant was order in chaos, as it meant you could control what you had made, and she needed both a little destruction and a little creation for this. Or well, she didn't Need destruction, but it would help disposing of some... Unfortunate by-product energies this sort of thing tended to make sometimes.

With pure creation, that could be an issue, and depending on things the fragments of life, creation, soul, and general parts could result in a creature being made from that. A violent creature more often than not, as anything with only fragments of a soul tended to be in enough pain to go feral, and when it was made from spare parts... Well, Chimeras were a prime example of what leaving scaps from creation could result in.

In any case, she reached a hoof towards Missklang to help him up if it were needed. She wasn't entirely sure how objects from dream and reality clashing would react with eachother, but considering they had hit the cart before, she'd presume that living beings could also interact with them as if they were physical.

The only reason that Last didn't slice towards the paw that grasped for her blade were that it wouldn't serve a purpose. She hated when other beings took her blade, as that left her defenceless in some senses, but Princess Luna had given her words, that it were okay with Missklang grasping for her, so she let go of the grip she had and let him play his little games, then grasping the handle with her teeth again when it was thrown her way before putting it back in the scabbard.

This was the sort of thing that did that she was interested in getting either a magical blade or some enchantments on the one she had now, whatever would prove most effective for the cost. Normal blades like this were ineffectual against some beings like this, where magical weaponry on the other hoof... Effective in more than one way against regular opponents, and could likely inflict some actual damage to this one.

Not that it would have stopped her. ineffectual or not, she wouldn't have hesitated to take a swing if - or perhaps when - Missklang would do something that was against Princess Luna, and not just a seemingly joking behaviour.

"You act like a Night Guard Crescent, minus the tacky uniform. Been one of those before?"

It interested her to know a bit more about Crescent now as he had also gone into protector mode, although he hadn't had the same restraints that she had. Now that Princess Luna had left - Last had bowed towards her in the last moments - she had the time to ask things like this, and for the time being no further reason to be after Missklang. Long as he didn't take her blade again or start to destroy things, he could play around however he wanted.

The playing around is what caught the eye of Vivd though. Well, beyond the newcomer which had been the first reason she had turned around. For the time being though, she wandered over towards them both, starting with a comment towards Missklang before moving onwards to the new face.

"Missklang, yes? You seem able to control the chaos well, but exactly How well can you do so? Do you know how to find order in the chaos and weave it into stable creation if you had the raw energy to work with? I have an... Agreement, with Charlie that would require your assistance if you have even a minor idea of how to do that. It will help me, help him."

Briar hesitantly wandered over towards Charlie, Priestess and the newcomer after trying to find meaning in all that had happened. It wasn't easy, but he thought he got the gist of it for now, and frankly it seemed as if that was the best he could hope for for the time being.

So instead, he focused on what he could and wandered over to greet what felt like another of Priestess' kind. Form wise anyway..

"A friend of Priestess it seems. Briar Trapjaw at your service sir, it's a pleasure to meet you."

When he had gotten near enough he had addressed the hidden Changeling, which was a fact that he had no idea about. For all he knew, this was simply a friend of Priestess, and for that fact alone he had approached him with a bow, and a friendly, toothy grin.

Vivid addressed the pair too shortly after, but not in the same way as Briar. Her interest were more towards Priestess specifically when she heard that they were planning to get going.

"You can leave, but Charlie will stay here. He still needs to direct us through the dreams before we wake up, and especially if he wants our deal to happen with any degree of haste."

It wouldn't be a bother to force him to stay all things considered. She were a soul harvester, she knew well how to tear a soul away, and Charlie was exactly that: A soul. There were the living, and the dream apparations if her and BRiar, but Charlie were, for all purposes sake, a loose soul. And though she needed her physical body to tap into her demonic energy properly, the soul magic were carved into every ounce of her being long before she even got a whiff of demons, and that included her dreams. Just not often that mattered in a setting such as this since a pony's consciousness didn't carry their soul into the dream lands.

It might be short,  but the bad fall had left her looking like she'd just woken up, and that looked a bit silly in her eyes so she figured since the others were silent, she might as well.

Though the universe had been challenged, it didn't seem like anypony popped in out of nowhere, or the sound of a camera interrupted them to let know that somepony had even immortalized the whole thing. For a bit, there was just silence, until Ziggy got bored and started to talk.

"It was seven kinds of weird in there, but fun. Many questions though."

Missklang grabbing for Luna's legs didn't go unchecked. The second he was no longer moving, the tip of a sword was standing a few inches away from his face whilst Last looked at him with a cold flare in her eyes.

"I owe you thanks for getting that energy away from me Missklang, but my duty is before my gratitude. Don't make me have to choose between the two of them.."

She wasn't lying. She owed Missklang a good deal for helping her get rid of her weak form and the chaos that had been coursing through her, and in any other situation she would not have done anything like this. But when your life were based around protecting the interests of and follow the words of a single entity, having somepony that she had been told to keep ean eye out for then grasp towards said entity made for a kneejerk reaction.

In her case, it had been a warning. If she had wanted to harm him in any way, or give him a cut on his paws to make sure he did not attempt this again, she could have done so, but he wasn't her enemy. She hadn't a reason to actually harm him yet, especially after what he had done, but like any guard she had reacted, and if he looked he would be able to see the icy flare in her eyes beginning to fade a little by little.

With some luck, he would get the hint and let go of Luna so she could return to owing him a favour rather than having to fend him away from her majesty. It would be for the best of them both if it didn't come to that.

At the mentioning of her order, and Princess Luna's gaze resting on her, Last Stand opened her muzzle and replied without delay.

"Until the bitter end your majesty. I will not let them out of my sight."

She heard Missklang and turned to look at what was happening with him, then looked back up, directly at Princess Luna with a look in her eye of acceptance. Not over her new assignment, but over what it might lead to her having to do if things got out of hoof..

"No matter what that might entail."

Her family, and the entirety of the guards they had been part of for generation upon generation, were used to having to do unpleasant things to get their duty done. Once that had been to guard, deflecting countless attack and making sure that the ones who did would not get a second chance to come back, and now? It would begin as guard duty, but she would not flinch or hesitate if they made her give a choice between them, or following Luna's words. Warnings at first though. This were not a warzone, and Princess Luna would likely not approve that she treated it as such unless the situation didn't leave her with many other option, as if for example they grew violent.

Over to the side, Briar's ears perked up a bit at hearing a few things that pointed it towards being a royal, which meant one of the normally not violent princesses. It helped him relax a bit, though he kept silent. There were much to hear from the others and little reason for him not to listen and try to learn for the time being.

Vivid on the other hoof, bit notice in a few things, but not something beyond trivial from most of them. A few seemed to know Luna, a couple of words, requests and in one case, obedience were thrown her way, which wasn't half as drawing to her eye as what happened with Missklang, and seeing him like this made her briefly frown.

It had been a long, Long time ago since she last had a head on with Discord, but her defeat still stung, and so had her punishment. While this were not him, obviously, the form reminded her off the chaos lord and his tricks, and at brought her memories that she would rather have burried as they both pleased and irritated her, and she didn't appreciate the duality.

In a sense, the lord of chao had unwillingly helped her, but at the same time, 1100 years were a long time, and especially when you were aware of every moment not spent in deep sleep of that, starring at the same things that were always there. It had not been often she had been awake, but the memories of when she had were deep rooted, just like her mixed feelings about the race that Missklang now represented.

Turning away from that sight, she wandered over to one of the mushrooms and started to examine that instead. If anypony had something to say to her, they could in due time. Right now, she wanted a distraction, and the odd surroundings would have to do for the time being. When it was her turn (or when she got bored) there would be plenty enough to talk about.

Over at Omen, Ziggy had zoomed over once more, and was now slowly circling the *pony*, trying to find what was odd about her beyond the odd thing with her mane and tail moving no matter wind or not, and that she didn't blink. And the whole *speaking in their heads* thing.

"Are you sure you're not a pony? You look like one."

"Master said this would fit this world when he chose me amongst the others. One voice, amongst thousands."

Suddenly, between where Ziggy now stood and where Serenade stood, a dot appeared in the air and expanded, like she did when Omen had travelled before. Now, without her blocking the view, they were both better able to see the everchanging landscape in the varied shades of dark and grey inside from the... Well, technically hole between worlds.

Nothing was sitting still in there, nothing kept form. Sometimes, you could see a grand mountain, then is disbaned into a cloud, lake, lamp post, anything really. it was like looking at shadows without anything ever staying the same, except for one thing: Now and again, a random number of eyes would open in some place seemingly from nowhere and look at them until the thing they stood on moved them away.

"Oh cool! But this sorta just looks like a hole in nowhere. Does this mean that I can just jump through to get to Serenade?"

Ziggy didn't wait for an answer before she ran into the paperthin portal, expecting to run through and meet with Serenade, but instead, she vanished as she ran into the other world, and what Serenade would see from her side of the portal would be Ziggy, suddenly standing someplace deep inside the realm she was looking at. It didn't look like she was in any trouble, and in fact she appeared to be having a good laugh about things as eyes started to show around her and focus on the solid amongst them.  constant in a world where no constant usually were.

"World between worlds, where no light ever shines. Where shadows forms and disbands, and everything can be, yet still not be."

Ziggy appeared to talk with the clusters of eyes for a bit before suddenly falling like the floor had been taken away from under her, then a second later popped through a portal opening above them, making the large, half-Zebra fall to the ground a few centimetres from the first gate.

Omen didn't close the gates yet, but looked up and through the one she had opened to get Ziggy back, meeting other eyes like hers. In other shapes and sizes of course, but still the same characteristics: Pale grey, and never blinking.
