Okay, I've just started doing youtube commentary episodes on MLP and have thought that adding an OC might make for a nice, personal touch but the only problem is I don't really have any artistic skill whatsoever. But there seems to be quite a bit on this site so I thought that if I can give you guys some details somepony may be good enough to give me a hoof so here goes. Well I've now got 3 videos up and am continuing to work things out. Gotten a bit better since acquiring some software. Anypony mind if I ask for tips on how to increase my visibility and viewership? I have just started doing some reaction videos on youtube, not blind but just getting them going and trying to 'get it down' before season 5 starts. This means I'm looking to make my videos as good as I can and build up an audience first if at all possible. Well this guy (I think) was claiming that all bronies are actually furries. He said furries were deviants that wanted to %^&* anything on four legs therefore the entirety of brony-dom is a bunch of guys who want to...well I don't think I need to explain further. He pretty much said it but his arguments were so all over the place and non-sensible that I had a hard time actually understanding if that was still what he was trying to say. He proved that bronies and furries had to be one in the same because they both spread their culture through the internet, had their own art and stories, used their own terminology, created their own characters to put into their stories or pretended they were characters in the story, and basically was vague enough to equate both groups by describing every fandom ever and that seemed to be the best case he made. Dislike or even hate doesn't necessarily upset me. If you can give good, solid reasons why I can accept that. If you just want to say bronies stuck their artwork and memes all over the net and it angered you I can go along with that. It's kind of true. If you simply want to say you don't like the show after you've tried it that's good enough for me. It was just that a LOT of what I saw seemed to start at the conclusion of bronies being bad and then work backwards to justify the opinion. One of the things I really, really dislike is arguments born of presupposition. I responded and honestly his responses were even worse going as far as to refer to bronies as monsters and roaches. I guess more than anything sometimes you need to talk to someone with a more allied point of view and vent so that's probably a bit of what this is. Hope you don't mind my complaining. I'll wrap it up now, Rarity's telling me it's no longer complaining and starting to sound like whining and she IS the expert after all.

Okay, I guess I was aware that somewhere out there brony hate existed. Not just trolling or annoyance but actual, hardcore, irrational hate. Out of morbid curiosity I went into that side of youtube and wow. For those of you who've been in the community has the anti-brony sentiment all was been that...completely freaking stupid. I mean so dumb it's almost impressive to keep that much lack of knowledge and understanding in one head at one time. I'm talking about the ones that try to justify it and explain their reasonings. The only thing they manage to convince me of is they have no idea of what they're talking about and probably don't want to learn. Particularly there was a guy named Burnthemwithfirelol. I didn't understand much of what was said but the little I did get when the rambling became momentarily coherent was pretty much 100 percent fallacy after fallacy. There was a bunch of stuff about furries, some bigotted terms I'd rather not repeat on my blog,and metaphors that were completely irrelevant. After about 5 minutes I wanted to put the guy into a Starscream costume and convince Rainbow Dash it was rematch time. I guess the question I'm wondering from those that have been around for a while and dealt with the 4 chan crap and even before that...has it always been that bad? I'm just curious.

Well I do plan to keep the channel strictly MLP for now. For a long time I argued between that and doing youtube videos on political/social/religious commentary but decided I was too depressed as it is and I should try to do something light hearted that would get me out of the dumps instead. I may still do it once I get better but that'll probably be a different channel.

Okay, I've been thinking about starting a season 5 blind reaction playlist on youtube when season 5 begins and I was just wondering the community could help me with a few things. My knowledge of video editing is poor at best and was looking for general advice on how to make a good vid and how to increase your online profile/viewership. I've done one kind of crappy video on Windows Movie Maker reviewing Rainbow Rocks a couple days ago. Since I'm completely new to everything involved in the process any advice you're willing to give would be helpful and appreciated.
