    I acknowledge the evolution of language, but it doesn't stop me from being fucking annoyed at 'autistic' being used as a synonym for 'terrible, unfun, and stupid'.

      I'm not a person who's usually easily offended, but just the idea of that bothers me. Like, are you serious? Makes it sound like there's something wrong with being autistic. My brother and I both have mild asperger's and we're pretty cool people, I like to think. Plus, I follow the blog of a mother who has a son with autism and from her posts, I gather that he's an AWESOME person. So...Yeah. This annoys me too...Like, WTF world?!

      I see it all the time in YouTube comments. I don't respond to them because engaging with people like them is pointless, but I still harbor feelings of anger that the word 'autistic' is being thrown around like that. The worst part is that I might have to come to accept that that's what the word is going to mean at some point.

      I stopped reading YouTube comments a long time ago because of crap like that. And you're right, engaging with those people is pointless. I don't even with most of them.
