Nah some glitch vocal trap dNb bro haha.Jk it's more ska this time with more of a focus on the punk/alternative side. It will have real horns though =P

Cool, looking forward to hearing it.

  2. Holy crap did not expect this song to get spotlight on EQD! Almost 1.5k views!
  3. I googled it to see what the interface looked like. It really reminds me of when I started with Cubase
  4. Me and Vacelav both use Ableton Live. Ableton isn't usually used for rock music, but it's really handy when you want to use real and virtual instruments (Plus it has a bunch of great sounding built in effects!). Edit: Thank you for subscribing!
  5. Yeah the thumbnail is kind of misleading lol. If we could've gotten some real horns it would have been cool. Hmm as far as the collab process went: -Vaceslav hit me up to do some ska/alternative stuff so I showed him some chord progressions I was messing with. -He used the chord progressions to make one of the most chill reggae bass lines I've ever heard (his bassline is the one in the verses). So with that bassline I added a rhythm guitar and synth to get the verse done -After we got a verse done I made a rough draft of the intro into the first verse (with a few simple drum beats, nothing too fancy) -The intro minus the lead guitar kinda became the chorus by changing the rhythm and timing of the guitars. -After we got some music done, Vaceslav told me he had some lyrics written that he could make fit, so while he was tracking some vocals I began messing with basslines on my end. -If I was up and he wasn't I'd be working on cleaning up the instrumentation, wheras If I was asleep he'd be working on the vocals and lyrics -I'd either be up late or he'd be up late so we could bounce ideas off each other, it was fun though -we'd just share our progress on the song through file hosting websites like mediafire and dropbox, it was pretty painless so to summarize -Get an idea, start with rough takes and brainstorm, Communicate, if the ideas stick, you continue to polish the project while getting feedback from the person(s) you're collabing with. Communication is key
  6. Hey guys, Just wanted wanted to share the song me and VaceslaV made. I had a blast making this! Even with the time zone difference (I live in the US Eastern Standard time zone while he lives in Australia where they're 15 hours ahead of me) I think that the collab went very smoothly and turned out quite well! Any feedback is appreciated. Lyric Video: Thanks for checking this out!
  7. This is some JRPG-style music right here , wish it were longer! Plan on making a part 2?
  8. Wrote this song based on the episode "Inspiration Manifestation". Been listening to too much melodic hardcore music lately lol . Feedback please?
  9. Merry (Early) Christmas Everyone ! I made this to get some practice mixing/producing acoustic-electric guitar. Comments/feedback are appreciated! I'll gladly answer any questions
  10. Thanks, man! If you can play the guitar you can play the bass (doesn't have to be anything fancy just gotta fill in the low frequencies). If you want I could give you some tips on how to get started recording/producing?
  11. I play lots of guitar and bass, my favorite brand(s) being Fender and Schecter. I can play straight beats on the drums, but I'm not good at complex fills. I also mess around with my Ableton Launchpad to play midi synths and glitch vocals 'n stuff
  12. That's cool dude! What instrument(s) do you play?
  13. Its pretty solid, I think you should add some ambient pad synths behind the wobble bass. I think that your drop would fall on beat better if it dropped right after "Motha" so I'd stop the vocal sample from dropping the f bomb, cuz the f bomb adds an extra beat
  14. Definitely check out ebay, there's plenty of good decals in different colors This one was 4$ free shipping (5"x5" so pretty good sized)
  15. The Trixie one is pretty cool, her hat is huge though. Anyone know if the Celestia and Luna product boxes are Trixie sized or the same size as all the other ponies?
  16. I stopped buying them (Funko's I mean), I just have too many already lol . If they released them in the white box, blacked out body style like the Target exclusive Rainbow Dash I'd be interested.
  17. Not to mention if you play it in any run of the mill speaker system (a car's system for example) it'll sound sub-par
  18. I like it, but I think it would sound fuller and clearer if you double tracked the rhythm guitar (you know, do 2 separate takes and pan hard left and right) and just had the leads centered (no point in double tracking the leads, since there's no voices occupying the center). Just my opinion though!
  19. What's up guys, I've noticed that the fandom tends to focus on creating EDM music and by no means am I against EDM (I really enjoy DJ Pon-3 and Foozogz). I just feel that the MLP alternative rock music scene is extremely neglected and/or dominated by only a few artists. With the production of rock music being a larger/more expensive process (Gotta buy instruments, a computer, mics, external interfaces, workstation software) vs producing EDM (Gotta buy a workstation, a computer, any vsts/plugins for your sounds, etc.) I can see why many people would rather go the EDM route. But I digress (I enjoy working on both types of music) , Here's one of my ska/pop-punk originals that I did with relatively cheap gear Does anyone else have any other non-EDM music to share?
  20. Sorry man, but if you're going to rip off a Blink song at least change the key
  21. Diggin' your bass man. I usually make a new arrangement using the acapella if it's readily available. Here's "Becoming Popular"
