  1. Hmph. I'm gonna come up with ways to explain the inconsistencies. I can do it.
  2. I decided to watch the season finale early because I've just been looking forward to it so much. I've always considered The Journal of the Two Sisters to be canon, but now, I'm not so sure. So I'm gonna list all the contradictions I noticed. I hope someone can tell me how they're actually not contradictions. Star Swirl the Bearded didn't believe that the Mane 6 had saved the world, but here is a quote from one of Celestia's entries in the journal, in which she is talking about Twilight's cutie mark on the Tree of Harmony: "When I asked him if he knew about the pony with the last symbol of the star, he shrugged, clearly knowing something." So that means he probably knew about Twilight, and therefore should've known about her and her friends saving the world all those times. Star Swirl and the other Pillars were talking about how they planted the seeds that grew into the Tree of Harmony, and it sounded like the Tree of Harmony hadn't even grown before they vanished because they were amazed just to see a projection of it. But it already existed in The Journal of the Two Sisters. Celestia had even heard of it before. Although I suppose it's possible that the Tree of Harmony was smaller back then and the Pillars were just amazed by how much it had grown. Maybe some alicorn was able to see the future and saw the Tree of Harmony, and as it was passed down through the generations without anyone ever seeing it, maybe they forgot that it was actually a real thing. Just writing about this helped me realize why it's not a contradiction. There were actually a lot of things that Star Swirl should've known about if he was traveling to the future like The Journal of the Two Sisters said. From what Celestia and Luna said in the finale, it looks like their lessons with Star Swirl were more like formal schooling. They even called him their teacher. But in The Journal of the Two Sisters, he was also their friend, and it didn't sound like they ever had to write essays. So. Thoughts? Because if this is contradictory, there is no hope for my fan fiction if I don't want it to take place in an alternate universe. (Not that there's much hope for it anyway. I thought I understood Princess Luna well enough to keep her in character because I've been obsessed with her for years and we're both INFPs and we both have personal experience with depression, self-harm, and the living hell known as a Fi-Si loop. But apparently not. She acted so out of character in my fan fiction that my friend couldn't even read it. He said she acted too much like Pinkie Pie.) But at least now I know why Star Swirl wasn't there to prevent Luna from turning into Nightmare Moon. And I can prove that my friend was wrong about Celestia and Luna getting their cutie marks as adults.
  3. Going the illegal route doesn't really bother me, as I don't think that internet piracy is morally wrong if you truly can't afford to buy the content.
  4. I've just been so excited since I read the descriptions, and I just found out that it was leaked! (I'm not good at keeping up with news. I just happened to see it on a website.) I watched Scare Master early when it was leaked, but this is a much bigger deal, especially considering what I read on Equestria Daily when I did some digging to find out what's going on. I don't know what I should do. Should I watch these episodes I've been so excited about, or should I wait three weeks and just watch related episodes and read The Journal of the Two Sisters for the umpteenth time until then?
  5. I've had Animal Crossing: New Leaf for a while, but I started over yesterday because I hadn't played in months and I was overwhelmed by the thought of all the things that may have changed since I'd last played. I'm worried about eventually being asked to get signatures for a petition. My little sister has the game, but she hardly ever plays it now, and even when she did play it regularly, she often wouldn't let me visit her town and accused me of manipulating her when I tried to convince her to let me visit. (She's autistic, so she has a confused idea of what manipulation looks like.) I'm not sure it's even possible for her to connect to the internet on her 3DS right now because our dad did something very illegal and isn't allowed to use the internet. (Fortunately I don't live with them.) So anyone wanna exchange friend codes and help me out at some point? I can help you out, too, if you like. Here's my friend code: 4012-3466-0050
  6. I agree with Snowflake Frostflame. And I would like to point out something that apparently hasn't occurred to anyone else. If we got rid of ALL diseases, that would include mental illnesses as well. Most evil people have antisocial personality disorder or another mental illness that's making them evil. Get rid of mental illnesses, and most evil people will become good people, or at least a lot less evil. That would take care of a lot of the world's problems.
  7. Seriously? Nobody likes this idea? Edit: Oh, I didn't notice that brohoof until just now.
  8. I'm kind of surprised there isn't already a thread like this (or maybe there is one and I just couldn't find it). There will always be friendship lessons that simply can't be covered in MLP because they involve things that aren't child-appropriate and/or the lesson might be confusing to children. I learned a lesson that falls under both of those categories. So I started this thread so that bronies can share their friendship lessons. Here is a friendship lesson I learned. It may seem obvious to most people, but surely there's someone else out there who could learn from this. It's not healthy to bottle up your problems, and your friends are supposed to be there to support you, so you should always tell your close friends about your problems, right? Wrong. This isn't an issue for most people, but some people have tougher problems. I mean, if you did something really, really bad, or you're depressed, or someone hurt you very badly, it's okay to tell a close friend the gist. But if you've been experiencing things like that and you go into too many details and tell your friends everything and start talking to them about all your problems all the time, you'll likely overwhelm them, especially if they've never experienced these things themselves. They might even start avoiding you because it's just too much for them to handle. It's not that they don't care. They just can't take it, and there's nothing they can do to help. When you're having very distressing problems that you're really struggling to cope with, it's best to talk to a counselor. They're trained to help you. A pastor or rabbi could also help, and if you're a minor and your parents or guardians aren't abusive (and you should tell someone if they are), you should be honest with them about what you're going through as well.
  9. Do they play it again? At the moment, my top priority is to find one that's gonna play it again in about 25 minutes.
  10. I've been mainly using BronyTV since the beginning of season 5, and I'm fed up! It's always freezing for a fraction of a second. Over and over and over. It's better with the alternate stream, but today, the stream just went offline in the middle of the episode! That is the last straw! So which website is the best? I remember stumbling upon another one that shows the episode a second time half an hour after the episode ends. Which one was that? Or is there more than one (not counting BronyTV, of course)? I want to watch the episode ASAP.
  11. I actually just came up with another explanation for Apple Bloom's absence. (Well, okay, I read about something similar happening in a book.) Maybe Apple Bloom was born premature (perhaps her mom died in an accident while pregnant but the doctors were able to save the baby like in a book I read called "Family Tree") and was in a hospital for premature babies during the episode.
  12. I just watched the new episode and I'm confused. Diamond Tiara hadn't been born yet (unless her parents' wedding was a shotgun wedding), and Apple Bloom seems to be the same age as Diamond Tiara, so Apple Bloom hadn't been born yet, either. But Apple Bloom, Applejack, and Big Mac's parents weren't there, so how does Apple Bloom even exist? The only explanation I can think of is that their parents were unable to take care of their children and gave up their parental rights before Apple Bloom was born, and then they immediately gave up their new parental rights when Apple Bloom was born and sent her to live with the rest of her family. (There go my theories about how old everypony is.) Anyone else got any theories?
  13. Even if all that stuff was true about MLP (which it isn't), why would that get it banned from YouTube?
  14. Rikifive's signature just made me lose The Game.
  15. Of course I like cheese. And I know of a forum post from eight years ago that you will LOVE. It was on a website called Tiger's Mouth (a website for kids in America who like to play an Oriental board game called Go), and it was posted by a girl who called herself jrancourt. Here is a link: http://tigersmouth.org/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=113&rowstart=0 She asked everyone to fill out the following info about cheese: At age 11, my response was: So what about all of you? My current response is: Hello, my name is Katie and I love CHEESE. CHEESE is so totally awesome because it tastes awesome! Cheese is usually YELLOW, but I think it should be PURPLE! That is my view of CHEESE.
  16. She doesn't need to make money in Equestria Girls. She's a junior in high school.
  17. I'm pretty sure she's not a vet. I suppose an animal shelter makes sense, but you would think there would be a law saying there needed to be more ponies working there.
  18. Rarity makes dresses. Rainbow Dash used to be a weather pony and is now a Wonderbolt. Pinkie Pie works at a bakery. Applejack runs an apple farm. Twilight probably had a full scholarship and got spending money from Princess Celestia in addition to being a librarian prior to becoming a princess. But I can't think of a single example of Fluttershy earning money. Is she on disability or something?
  19. If I was stuck working with somebody who tried to take over the whole project and not let me do what I want when it was supposed to be MY project, I would yell at them until I got my way. (Hey, it works. And no, I AM NOT a spoiled brat, thank you very much.)
  20. Radiarc - Dysphoria in Pink
  21. I really hope it isn't gonna end. But even if it does, as long as people keep writing fan fiction, it will never truly end. By the way, I'm pretty sure they DID NOT always plan for it to end with a movie. Magical Mystery Cure was originally gonna be the last episode, remember?
  22. MBTI type: INFP Favorite pony: Princess Luna! Pony I'm most like: My grandpa (one of the world's oldest bronies) says Twilight. Some of my friends say I'm like Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie had a baby. (I can sometimes act like Pinkie Pie once I'm comfortable with a group of people.) I don't have a ponysona. (The pony in my avatar isn't really a ponysona. She doesn't even have a name. She's just what I'd want to look like if I was a pony.) How I contribute to the fandom: I sometimes help three of the organizers from Bronies of Phoenix come up with ideas for meetups, even though I'm not technically an organizer. Does that count? Oops, I thought the post before mine was from 2016.
  23. I just HAVE to share this little-known video that explains why Luna felt the way she did even better than I can (and that's saying something, since Luna and I have the same personality type and I felt almost EXACTLY how she felt):
  24. I'm not insane at all. I'm mentally ill, but not insane.
