Do the Mane 6 themselves count as symbols? This thing is due on Monday! Please help me! I have to cite a source, so I need somebody to tell me whether or not they count as symbols in the brony co-culture. I can't just say I figured it out myself! (In case you're wondering what I think they're symbols of, I think they're symbols of the elements they represent.)

What are some songs with lots of Bronyspeak?

As some of you may already know, I am doing a school project about certain aspects of the brony co-culture (I determined that it's a co-culture, not a subculture, earlier today). One of these is language, and I need to find a song with Bronyspeak. So what are some songs with Bronyspeak? It needs to be rock because this project includes making a playlist of songs about the things I have to research and all the songs I've chosen are rock. Another genre would be out-of-place and my grade might suffer. Don't tell me how to do my project. Only try to help me with the thing this thread is about.

Should Princess Celestia be written out?
melody5697 replied to ManaMinori's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
No. Celestia is important. Don't forget she might be VERY important in the season finale. And I think there should be an episode that explains why Celestia's, Luna's, and Twilight's cutie marks are on the Tree of Harmony, and obviously Celestia would have to be in that. Oh, and who the hell are the "Mane 7"? I thought it was a typo at first. -

...Impending doom? What are you talking about? Does that mean the person who gave a really bizarre answer to the question I asked on Y!A (https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20150927185751AAHsSFk#) was serious? Or is this supposedly one of the "signs in the sun, moon, and stars" mentioned in the Bible?

Well, I've loved G1 since I was five, so I would've just said, "Okie-dokie!" Unless you went back to BEFORE I liked it. The first episode of MLP I ever saw was The Golden Horseshoes, and I thought it was really scary at the time because of those goblins. (I was only three or four.) That was 14 or 15 years ago, so I don't know exactly how I would've reacted. But I definitely would've been surprised. And there was a time when I didn't like MLP because my sister (who has high-functioning autism) was completely obsessed with it, but I don't know how I would've reacted then either. I was no older than eight.

What are you dressing as for Halloween?
melody5697 replied to Star Blossom's topic in General Discussion
I'm gonna be Princess Luna! I already got a dress from the Goodwill yesterday (hopefully nobody will notice that the dress is a slightly greenish blue) and I have the whole costume planned out except for the makeup! The makeup might be a challenge since I only know how to do very simple stuff. But at least I'm somebody who looks good in blue eyeshadow. I'll be going trick-or-treating with some friends from church (no, I'm not actually a Christian). I'm 18, but it's acceptable for 18-year-olds to go trick-or-treating where I live. And even if it wasn't okay, I could just pretend to be a bit younger because I look 15 or 16. I'll also be going to Halloween parties at youth group and at home school group (lots of people who have already graduated from high school continue going to home school group). Last year I was Sophie the swamp witch from the Tale of Woe Plot on Neopets and I won the costume contest at youth group! That costume was completely homemade, though. -
I thought this was supposed to be a complete eclipse but it wasn't! I can't believe I just wasted all this time hoping to see something that never happened! This is just like eight years ago! At least I just saw a UFO. Well, it might have just been a plane, but if I tell myself it was a UFO, this won't feel like a COMPLETE waste of time.

I tried to take a picture to send to a friend who's too busy to watch, but it wouldn't even show up. I wonder how long until it's finally completely in the umbra. There's still just a tiny bit of yellowish white at the edge. It was on the right, but now it's on the bottom...

Deleted because it was a stupid question

I pretended to freak out about it on Y!A earlier and a top contributor called Hollypaw claims that the moon is white like it normally is and that I must be in the Twilight Zone. I should've expected this from the girl who said my teddy bear was just being overprotective when he killed two of my dolls.

I'm watching it right now. It doesn't turn REALLY red until it's completely in the earth's shadow. It's almost there where I am.

Yeah, I figured you weren't talking about the videos I just described. That's why I asked. *clicks the link you posted*. Wtf did I just watch...

What's the strange side of YouTube? The strangest thing on YouTube I can think of is stuffing and belly play videos (no offense to anybody who's into that kind of thing), but I have the feeling that's not what you're talking about.

I've never been there. I'm a bit curious now, but I'll only go there if I'm absolutely certain I have 24 hours or less to live because then there will be absolutely no risk of getting in trouble. If I'd known about the Darknet the summer before seventh grade, I would've tried to get to it so I could find instructions on how to hack NASA. Boy, would I have been in trouble. My dad would've taken away my internet privileges and then that would've messed up a whole bunch of stuff and someone very important to me would've committed suicide last year because I'm the one who showed him that people care about him and we would never have become friends if my dad had taken away my internet privileges any sooner than he did. (He took away my internet privileges in fall of seventh grade because he found out I was a digimon believer.) I don't think I'd have any problems with viruses if I accessed the Darknet now. I use Linux. There aren't very many viruses for Linux because that's what all the people who make viruses use.

Wanna help me with my school project on the brony subculture?
melody5697 replied to melody5697's topic in Sugarcube Corner

As some of you may already be aware, I am working on a project involving certain aspects of the brony subcuture. The one I'm having the hardest time with is symbolism. Since the brony subculture is completely centered around MLP, does that mean some symbols in MLP are automatically symbols in the brony subculture? Please don't tell me what to do in any part of my project except the one I'm asking about.

general Have you ever tried clothes for the opposite gender?
melody5697 replied to Jokuc's topic in General Discussion
Well, I think the overalls I wore when I was ten might have been meant for boys. And there was this one shirt I had when I was eight that was a boy's shirt, but I didn't realize it until I saw a boy in my class wearing the exact same shirt, and I never wore it again after that. Other than those overalls, I have never knowingly worn guys' clothes, and I never will. I couldn't even if I wanted to because my boobs are too big. -
You Just Got Kissed By the User Above You, Your Reaction?
melody5697 replied to Tom The Diamond's topic in Forum Games

Nobody's ever reacted to me buying merchandise (possibly because I'm a girl so it doesn't seem as strange). I'm always half-hoping somebody will, though. Maybe I should buy merchandise more often. I bet I'd get some interesting reactions if I bought that Canterlot Castle toy at Target, but I can't afford that.
