Damnit. It's like that episode DELIBERATELY went out of its way NOT to call her by name. This is confusing. She's marketed as DJ Pon3, but the fans keep calling her Vinyl Scratch. WHICH IS IT?! For Celestia's sake, It's the Derpy/Ditzy/Muffins crap all over again!

No, didn't Octavia call her Vinyl at one point at their house???

Then why was she referred to as Vinyl in "Slice of Life"?

That's Celestia for you. The moment she'd ever get furious at ANYPONY would be the Apocalypse for EVERYPONY. Well, at least I can scratch one of my hopes for this season off as having happened (Trixie's return). Now if only we can get that "Applejack's parents" episode or even Sunset Shimmer to show up..... Also, Twilight's face in the bush. So cute!

Also, DAT APPLEJACK FACE. That is the face of "SHAME ON YOU".

Great (and powerful, lol) episode! Trixie FINALLY realized her biggest problem: for all her attempts to be nice, she didn't know when to switch off! Sorta like Simon Pegg in Hot Fuzz!

So basically Flutters' brother is a slacker, eh? Then I know just the thing to get him motivated in an instant:

HAVE they said they're dead? Cause that just seems to be fan head cannon next to Scootalo being an alleged orphan (I think Scootaloo DOES have parents, she's just too busy to ever mention them). All we've gotten so far was one like from AJ last season telling Apple Bloom that "Mom and Dad would be proud of you". For all we know, her parents might only be ASSUMED to be dead and might've ended up somewhere else with amnesia. I've seen that kind of plot bit happen on other shows!

Btw, I wanna address something about the crying scene. Some fans who don't like this episode get confused as to why Dashie's crying so hard over Tank, as we've hardly seen her play with him since Season 2. However, I think her meltdown at the end was more than just her crying over her pet. Prior to this episode, Dash has been shown to be very stubborn over her emotions. Sure, she gets panicky and upset at times, but we're never actually seen her CRY or deeply sad before. Probably because she doesn't wanna be seen like that as she thinks it would affect other ponies' image of her. For example, we see towards the end of "The Last Roundup" that she's slightly crying but she's quick to try and hide her tears. So, if anything, I think Dashie has a nasty habit of bottling up her sadness and try to hide any ideas that she's scared or depressed (If you've seen Inside Out, the ending to this episode is early similar to the end of THAT movie, too). So her hysterical crying at the end of this episode was everything from not only the events here, but 4 plus seasons prior worth of bottled emotions coming out at once. I'm kinda shocked none else in the Brony community has considered this! That said, let's celebrate 1 year of a fun episode, and give RD a nice big hug: Also, regarding that "Applejack cries on the inside" comment..... *looks towards Applejack whilst holding a bowl of onions and a photo of her parents* YOU'RE NEXT!

Also, BOY do most of those dragons don't know how to think or feel without the Dragon Lord telling them. I cracked up at the "BE SAD!" part!

Btw, we got the synopsis for "No Second Prances". Looks like it might either be a Twilight/Starlight/Discord episode or a Twilight/Starlight/Trixie episode! Really happy to see Celestia and Luna get more appearances, even if they are brief. They must've listen to people complaining how we barely saw them in Seasons 4 and 5.

Oh yeah. Even so, the 2 episodes after it have plots, so why doesn't this one?

We'll see, but i can answer that: remember how Rairty's parents are far different in sound than she is (her mom's a regular girl pony while her dad looks and sounds like a non-Apple Family farmer)? For all we know, one of Fluttershy's parents could've been from Trottingham (the Equestria version of Britain), hence the brother picking up the other parent's accent. But again, we don't know WHO's voicing her brother yet and for all we know Grint might not even BE in this season (Though we COULD do with another guest appearance by SOME name actor; doesn't have to be Discord). Btw, can someone or somepony locate the tweet with the pic i mentioned? I wanna make sure I'm not talking out my arse about the background behind them! Found the pic. Looks like it was actually at a convention. So maybe he's not in this season. Oh well. So much for my theory. Btw, still no word on the plot of next week's "No Second Prances", huh?

I have a theory: A while back Tara Strong tweeted a photo of her and Rupert Grint (Ron from the Harry Potter films and a confirmed celeb Brony) in what looks like a recording studio. Could he be guest-voicing this season? After all, he did guest star on an episode of American Dad 2 seasons ago. Maybe HE could be voicing Fluttershy's brother!
