      Hmm... I am not so sure this is recent. This reminds me of the stories I use to hear about the number of shots people had to get to cure rabies.

      @Toshigami EquineI think you are correct, I believe that is for rabies treatment, as it also appears to be a stomach it's going into, as I think it has to go into the organs inside...

       

      Just the thought makes me shudder...

      @Millennium ShadowNot really; the amount of vaccine depends on how much fluid is in the syringe, not in how many needles are going in.  This'd simply dispense the vaccine in five different, but close, places.  I don't see the benefit of injecting into five different-but-close places.  Maybe there is one, but if there is, I don't know it.
