I tell ya, this show made me wanna get my hands on a Kukri. I remember me and my dad watched an episode of Forged In Fire where they were testing the greek kopis and we were blown away by just how deadly the weapon is. bloody puts the classics like the katana and the broadsword to shame. a Kukri is basically a smaller version of the greek kopis, but it is just as deadly.

For those of you who havent seen the show, four blade-smiths are put to the test and they have to make a blade in 3 hours and they must meet the requirements in order to move onto the next round. after that, they have either 3 hour or 2 hours (it depends on which season ur watching. if it's season 6 onwards, it's 2 hours) to attach a guard, handle, a pummel and address any flaws they have. then, they put them though a strength test and a sharpness test. this is probably the fun part. I tell ya, watching Jaimie Neilson beat the snot out of em is entertaining.

after each round, one blade-smith is eliminated from the competition.

the two bladesmiths who make it into the final round will have 4 or 5 days to make an iconic weapon from history. this will determine who is the forged in fire champion. yeah, I love this show.

It looks awesome, so light looking and deadly but most importantly…. it’ll keel.
