I think this was a good interview. Still skeptical of UBI tho.

I'm a bit skeptical of the amount tbh, but he lays out the argument better than anyone I've ever seen. I can't remember the last time I've seen a politician make a legitimate argument that wasn't an appeal to emotion.
The major reason that I like Yang is that he's got a lot of policies, some of which cross the political aisle. The fact that he was willing to go on Shapiro's show to debate demonstrates that he really believes in these things. Contrast this with other politicians who make empty promises for the sole purpose of gaining power. It's because of this that he's actually building a bipartisan following. Libs and cons talk about him without fighting. It's great.
TL;DR: Yang gives me good feels that aren't based in schadenfreude.

Yang hinted at Milton Friedman's "Negative Income Tax" after Shapiro brought up the two ways UBI is presented. Basically, the rest of the welfare state would have to go and have only UBI. Might work and would certainly be less gov't.
But like you said, it was great for him to talk with Shapiro. I mean, could you imagine a useless politician like Kamala Harris talking to the other side? lol!
He definitely has some policies I agree with. Surprisingly, he supports tighter border security and restricting illegal immigration. Also, wants to eliminate Daylight Savings Time. Shit, I think he got my vote!
