Okay, so I just found out that the hit 1960s comedy, Bewitched, was never shown in the UK, and most parts of surrounding Europe.
This was because, at the time, the UK still saw witchcraft as a serious wrongdoing, and not meant to be joked about. For us in the US, witchcraft became more-or-less a simple novelty, and we only had the Salem witch trial, and everything else was very minor. By the 1900s, witchcraft was viewed as nothing more than an old wife's tale. It was perfectly okay for us to joke about it.
Besides, it's nothing like real witchcraft. It's hilarious.
So if you're in the UK or surrounding areas, you have most likely never heard of Bewitched until just now
