The 1060 is too expensive, I think an 8 gig RX 480 would be better, but wait for board partner cards and benchmarks. Reference cards suck. For the CPU, unless you're using programs that benefit from more than 4 cores, you'll just have diminishing returns, with a dash of bragging rights.
I dunno , the price difference is around $50. and if we're taking it's predecessors into account , I'm pretty sure , Nvidia's 1060 would easily beat the 480 in benchmarks.
