Maple Bat

Maple nodded to speechless, a tear in her eye. She blinked and shook her head making it go away. "I promise I won't get hurt. You know me. I've got enough training to run away without getting hurt. Once we leave we don't have to run until we know we're going to get followed." Maple told him, since she just wanted to be sure Speechless knew. "They can't know we have a plan otherwise it's pointless." Maple smiled at speechless. "We've got this... You've got this. Ready?"

Maple returned as Terisha left "Ready Wind?" Maple told him, She had her gun reloaded and her claw where sharpened too. the was still broken but at least it looked better since she'd straightened it out. a lot. "Because I sure am." Windphaser examined Maple for a second and smiled "Alright Maple. But I'd recommend not using that big gun of yours unless you absolutely have to. Too much attetion you know?" Maple nodded "Of course. Windphaser, We're scouting. Not fighting You can count on me." Celestia chuckled "Thank you. I'm glad you agree I did good. I'll keep working hard too... Speaking of which I might need to do more stuff I'll leave you with Luna." Celestia saw several soldiers asking for her at the door, she rolled her eyes and went over to them Luna chuckled "Sure Jack. I don't mind at all." Luna opened her wing and took Jack under it. "There we go..." She spoke softly and calmly to him. "How's that? Much better?"

"Hehe... Funny. I used to know someone like that... I actually have been watching the bat for a long time. I've seen quite the similar spark in her." He chuckled to himself, the Kasa on his head covered his eyes now. Well to anyone but him that was, he could see rather well from under it. He had a look of ancient mastery to his ensemble so he looked much more skilled. "Trust me... We're not going to lose this battle and the same goes for the war. We will win. How? I've got no idea... But we will." "Alright. I'll go with you. I've caused enough trouble by not doing that already." Evelyn said to him with a hint of upsetness "Well you can count on me now Jack!" "Actually Jack. I was working on a new spell! One that can cloak you and all hurt fighters here too." Celestia roared triumphantly! "Windphaser explained this all to me. Ember is going to be with Wind and his group. Meanwhile, Festus will be with us Maple is going to fight the mech. We had talked about it all with Wind before hoof. You just need to rest for now. Focus on that for me Alright? We can't leave the others that's why for the spell." "Sister... Won't you need help with a spell that big?" Luna asked, after tapping on 'Tia's shoulder "Yes and you're the one I need to help me. I know you wish to help as much as you can... but THIS would be the best way to do that." Celestia replied

"Sure thing. I'll try to keep an eye on everypony I can. I just hope I see them before they see me." Woody said eyeing each nearby pony, quickly. " We're cool for now... However... That doesn't mean I'm right on my assumptions. Stay cool for now... But I don't think they'll come for you... I don't think they'd have any reason to target you... Then again your guard has no use for me... But again. Maybe I'm wrong." Woody gave a big smile he'd been very back and forth in that one bout of speech. Though it was presumably normal for a draconequus like himself. Maple and her company arrived back in canterlot, on the way back she'd heard of that guard talking himself up further and further. The stallion had done that the entire trip. He had the nerve to continue talking about himself despite being told off once. " If you think you've got what it takes to lead my army... Then you're wrong! You don't think you deserve my position. You EARN IT. You CLEARLY have failed to prove yourself more so than I. Even less than Moonshadow! Clear your head soldier... I want you OFF the field for a week. Use that time to remember your position in this guard." Maple huffed as the guard, walked off Moonshadow had walked up to her "I know... I hated doing that... He is one of our better fighters but we can't risk this anymore."

"Y... Yea you're right. Remember the plan. We run to the everfree forest together. Once we arrive there, We split up you going to find some timber wolves and try to either get them to help or lure them to meet me while I lure the hunters away. It's a risk..." Maple looked at her reflection in her armor. "I know... But it's one I can take. If you have anything you don't like about this plan anymore tell me... But We're out of options here... This is the best plan I could think of... You trust me to get this done, right?" Maple had a very determined and stout look on her face. She was ready for this, She knew it would work.

"All of this is helpful... I'm glad you told me that." WindPhaser levitated a small band and tied his hair into a ponytail keeping it out of his face and levitated his Kasa onto his head "You're kit and skills are very valuable if we aim to win here. I know how to utilize your skills quite well! So trust me..." Windphaser nodded determined Evelyn gave Jack a gentle smile "I'm sure Karthsprire has his own plans for things, Celestia and Lunado need to stay with you, no matter what however. I'm sure you agree with that?" Evelyn said barely feeling Jack's grip. Celestia worked fast and efficiently removing the bullet in a matter of minutes "There... Got it..." Celestia said wiping the sweat from her head. "See... Not hard..." Luna sighed "I hope it was... Mostly painless for you..."

During that timeframe Maple had hit Speechless hard several times, Zephyr had been in and out for a number of reasons, but he had been busy as he'd said. So he wasn't in the way when he was in the house he was in his room or the kitchen meanwhile Maple would cook, and they'd train in the main room. "Alright... I know we're supposed to get a move on today... But I'm worried about your father... We haven't heard hide nor hair of him since he left... Nor have we heard from your mother." Maple said with a slight frown. "I'm just... Worried about them... As much as I would my own... I'm so sick of being helpless... We... We have to help them..."

Woody chuckled when Staunch arrived, He'd been waiting outside the barracks for Staunch, sitting above the door, Tail hanging down "Geez you're slow... Anyways... You make a good point. I've got no idea what I'm up against... But really I'm the son of Discord... It'll take a whole lot to bring me down." he said with a hearty chuckled. He obviously felt he was strong enough... for the most part, he was. --------------------------------------------------- Celestia listened closely to her captain's words getting startled at one word in particular. "Chaos? I will have a word with Discord about this... Or his son... Should I see him first. I doubt he's to betray us... not now. Captain, you are to continue investigations on this and report any findings to me as soon as you know... Understood?" She said it gently but with a subtle amount of anger, directed to Discord.

Maple smiled but felt a bit awkward now, since She'd put her hoof on him " Right! I don't mind going back... It was a cozy place back then I might start coming back... " Maple was interrupted as she went through the portal whatever she was going to say the two guys wouldn't be able to hear. Woody bowed to Will and motioned to the portal, "After you, I need to close it behind me anyways." Should Will go through he'd end up in front of the castle Maple about to go inside it

"Just call me Wind... Or Windphaser... No need for the formal title." He held out his hoof to Therisha "Mind me asking... What kinda gear do you plan on using when we move out? I need to strategize..." The half-Raukan pony examined the Full-Blooded, Raukan careful studying their build just wondering how they prefer to fight. Celestia and Luna both nodded in agreement with him "Don't worry... I'll make sure I make it as painless as I can." Celestia told him relaxed and she nodded to Luna. "Yes, This shouldn't hurt as much as me doing it alone..." Luna cast a spell on him, as the spell enveloped him he felt relief wash over him it was just the magic she was using to help him. Evelyn chuckled "Sure think Jack" She smiled when he chuckled, even in pain he made light of the situation

"Yea... We should plan something to do about this... The situation's bad enough as it stands so we should prepare properly." Maple decided that outside the house was safe... As long as they stayed kinda close to it. Maple figured they'd need to leave the house at some point... They where sitting ducks there anyways, "We should wait until we heal then I think I've got a plan."

" Yes... I'm Her brother... And yes your captain sent me... I'm supposed to keep you safe... From what? I've got no clue but Whatever it is I know we can take care of it!" Woody smiled. The draconequus, Despite being something that legends would lead you to fear, had a very lax aura about him. Something about his presence... Maybe the way he behaved? No matter that wasn't the point at hand "Barracks is pretty safe if I say so! So yea it seems like pretty good place to stay... Ohh! I'll race ya!" Woody flew off quickly hurrying to the Barracks area. ---------------------------------------------------- " I am aware... One of them contacted me recently... For now, they aren't a threat but we need to be wary of them I'm not sure how careful they're going to be around us... " Celestia gave the Captain a firm look thinking about something "Be watchful around them... Do not let them into Canterlot should they seek access... Keep them away from ponies for now... I'm not sure how much we can trust them..."

Maple blushed. "Yea... Thanks. Needed that." Maple giggled cutely "Thank you, Speechless" She figured that she should take her armor off, so she did they were going to take a break now anyway, She set the armor down and leaned her weapon against it sitting next to Speechless. Maple sat there for a second before saying to him "Well... W-What now?"

"Oh... Yea that makes sense..." Windphaser said with a nod "Yea I understand. Don't worry. I'll figure other things out. But I do desire to see her fight... I wanna know for future use.. You know?" Windphaser said with a bit of an upset sigh. He put his sword away. Bowing to Karthspire and leaving him as he was thinking how to rework his tactics now that he didn't have her. Windphaser could use the troops but Maple was a backbone. She had a lot of skill and it was a lot lost to his group Celesita smiled "Don't worry I understand... Lead me to what's happening and I'll do what I can." After that Luna Lead the way to where Jack was when Celestia walked in she looked at Jack. "Very well... I'll see what I can do..." Celestia examined his body with magic... It felt tingly. "Of course I do... You're super strong!" Evelyn said with a soft smile trying to calm him down "I mean... You've made it this far."

Maple replied quickly "Oh no, not at all. Midnight's a really nice pony to be around. I wouldn't want to make him upset or angry." When Swirling approached she did grow nervous. Nervous enough that Swirling saw that something was off. " And yea... Midnight was really helpful when A pony I had a crush on went to ask me out..." Woody sighed "Ok So we... Havn't been honest with you... I'm not a stag..." Woody, in a bright flash of light turned back into a draconequess "D-Don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you or anything. But yea... I'm a draconequus..."

"What if it's not a trap! My brother is in danger and I'm the whole reason he's in Tartarus in the first place." Maple stood up looking around an hesitating heavily but, albeit resentfully, she decided to trust the letter "I will return here to kill the blood team's leader... But this is much more important to me... If my brother got hurt... Then I'd never forgive myself... It's not something I expect Woody closed his songbook, Shadows was right, He wasn't exactly a strong draconequus compared to his siblings, at least... not yet. He listened to Shadows spill about him letting his emotions out in front of him When he asked why Woody was ready to answer "You find me something of an equal brother... You may not think I can face you but I mean more of you see me as someone trustworthy or someone you desire to get along with... for whatever reason like you see I could bring you power... or a stronger feeling of kinship... It's not my place to say just my theory..." Woody watched the battle start to unfold... and he smiled looking at the 3 of them "You know what... I think they got this."

"My injury? It's fine... Just hurts a bit but I've had much worse before hoof, You, however... I doubt you've seen a lot of battle. Sorry if I'm overconcerned but I feel I should be." Maple said looking him in the eyes. She looked happier now... Knowing that he was ok enough to be more worried about her than himself. "Thanks for asking about me... It's sweet." Maple said with a hint of a blush.

She herself left the other group heading into the forest. She went to go find her brother... He walked into Everfree it looked scary and was infested with monsters... even more so since her brother was protecting them. She walked among them, fearlessly none of them were attacking... yet. Woody had enchanted the creatures with his singing so they'd only attack or flee from those who held negative intentions, To keep them safe... Mapel, however, was here to see her brother. She heard his singing, it was almost Divine only one pony could sing that well... Woodland, wearing an outfit that a very elegant druid would wear it seemed very natural and flowy it looked hoof-made too and he had a flower crown around his mismatching horns, descended from the tree line. "Sister? IT has been almost a month since your last appearance... I was worried you wouldn't show again..." He walked over to a grove checking on it and seeing some dying plants, he healed them with his magic. "I know why you're here and the answer is no... I will not help you fight... This... I have made clear... I want to preserve life, Peace, and Nature... It's what mom and dad would've wanted... I wish you would tend to this forest with me..." He wandered into the grove followed my Maple, He plucked an Apple and gave it to her " For your return to the field of battle..." He then focused his magic on growing more plants and spreading more life. Maple looked at Woody's work in amazement she had to snap herself out of it to talk with him "But... Brother We can keep everything scared if we defeat Trixie... We'll reclaim our home and the elements and with those... We can even bring mom-" "No, we can't... She's stuck up there... for 1000 years... She will die before returning... So I will live her legacy" The young draconequus didn't take that not finished sentence lightly... He was angered at his sister for even assuming that they could bring Fluttershy back. "Leave! Now!" Woody noticed the animals getting restless and he focused himself calming down. "Please... return for some tea another... consider my offer too... I miss you and don't want you to get hurt... Or worse... " With that woody sang an elegant and noble song causing him to teleport to another area of the forest.

As Primrose and Maple walked through the town many ponies would look to Primrose in fear and drop what they were doing, She was a dragon in the presence of ponies after all. Eventually, Maple turned to Primerose "I assume Techno is at our base... I'll lead you there." Maple the waved a hoof leading the Dragon towards the destroyed tree that had once been Twilight's home. "Oh wait there He is. With the huge cape and... my brother on his back apparently. Keep the talk calm... If you need somewhere more concealed I can arrange it later." The bat pony noticed a pony, on their own. Strange... I thought most ponies would have someone with them to love, so the Changelings could feed Maple stared at them for a while curiously. Woody was confused for a while about what the changeling meant. "Y... Yea I don't mind... just... Not the love between me and my family... That's a bit precious since I can't find my parents... and my sister constantly risks herself... You never know when she might nor return you know..." A Tear came up in Woody's eye and he shook his head trying to get that idea out of it. A changeling whitnessed the exchange and after they both left ran into the throne room telling Chrysalis. She wasn't happy with the Changeling " Get these lies out of my throne room! Ennex is not going to stand against me. He will regret it should he do so! Now LEAVE!" When she shouted the changeling stormed out of the room she'd never seen them move that fast... This was the 3rd time she'd received a report of multiple Ennxes, She used her magic and sent out an order to ALL changelings to stop impersonating Ennex should they be doing so... Little did the changeling queen know, that those that had been changing into Ennex would be unable to revert to their previous forms.
