I do agree to this. Parents have a significant influence in their children but they are not the deciding factor. Some children choose to take their own unique path in spite of bad parenting. Being responsible has more to do with the individual's choices than their background. Shining Armor became a captain because of his own actions. Similar things can be said of Twilight. In the end, I think the parents did a good job supporting their kids - but were not the ones that got them their positions. -

I love Monopoly like a madman but nopony plays it with me anymore because I always win. I don't love it because I win though - I even try super risky strategies that can make me lose. Oh well... Connect four and othello are my favorites that I can still play with others. Ever played connect four against a computer though? It's impossible to win. -
Loyal fans? If RD loses out to AJ that would be REALLY ironic...since she's loyalty and all. At least you can trust the AJ fans to be honest about it, right? -
I wouldn't doubt that the love is in some way proportional to the screen time. I never disliked AJ even though she's not my favorite and I don't often hear people say that AJ is their #1. I do, however, have a friend that's an AJ nut. Gotta love the AJ lovers.

You are NOT the only one. I don't really like them either. They're like a lot of Pixar movies for me. One or two laughs and cringing the rest of the way. I think it's just important to remember that everypony has their own likes and dislikes. You're not right or wrong for your opinions. It's just what you like/dislike. We're in the same boat with the MOV stuff. Should I even mention that one horror fanfic? I don't want to bring it up (even though I just did). I find it sick and I don't know why the hay anypony else would like it. I'm just not in that crowd. Our opinions make us who we are. -
Well, let me be the one to boldly and foolishly say that I loved this episode. Music has always been a part of the show and I generally liked the songs for this one. I particularly liked "I've Got to Find a Way." It was quite beautiful. I didn't know directly about the whole alicorn ascension since I stayed away from spoilers (it took serious ninja skills). However, I had my own suspicions that Twilight was coming to this and I'm glad it was done with dignity and grace. Yep. Dignity and grace. I'm perhaps most pleased with what this opens the door to in season 4. It's anypony's game and I'm gonna love every Princess Twilight minute of it. -
That awesome moment when you realize that John de Lancie (voice of Discord) is Q in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

That's right. It was a Scootaloo cutie mark. Bwahahahaha. (I'm easily amused.) Totally agree with you - it was a decent episode. Not my favorite but entertaining nontheless. Pinky Pie had some good scenes for sure (Cinnamon bun?). Love RD's zeal but she totally over did it in a funny way. Wasn't expecting the episode to be the tie-in with Sidekicks but I'm quite pleased for it. Now with only one episode left, expectations are high. (Well they always are anyways but you know...) -
Knights of the Old Republic 2. Almost done with it though. Got lots of other games laying around and waiting to be played. Finishing college has been a real drag on my gaming time. Work totally gets in the way.

Essentially, everything I was thinking. I'm consistently surprised by what happens in Season 3 and this episode was no exception. I loved what they did with Discord and his stubborness was realistic to his character. Character redemption seems to be a solid theme since they pretty much did it with Trixie. I'd love to see more of this in future episodes and seasons. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see such 180s for other characters (i.e. Gilda and Chrysalis). -

Derpy. Because Derpy. Seriously though, I think it's all due to the fandom. Derpy doesn't get very much attention when it comes to official development. Fine by me though because we're doing a pretty good job of developing the living daylights out of her. I've seen a lot of Derpy art that just makes me daw. I treasure her scene in The Last Roundup too. So, with that in mind, I regret nothing. -
Favorite Episode of Season 3 so far?

Now it's hard for me to go straight to Wonderbolts Academy. I really liked that episode but I agree to what you're saying about the longer ones. Two-parters really give more time for story and development and I think that helped the start of season 3. Some of my favorite moments are still in those first two episodes. Besides, the Crystal Empire had Rainbow Dash in it. Jousting. Need I say more?
