Windy Breeze

I got a dream. I remember that I 'woke up' in the darkness, but still inside my bedroom. It was pitch black, it was silent, completely silent. It unnerved me, and scared me since when it's completely silent at night, that means something is wrong. 

I went to the living room cautiously and quietly. I didn't went for my parents' bedroom because I don't want them to disturb them from their sleep. Then I saw a letter sitting on the table, it was yellow and something is written on it. I picked it up because of my curiosity. Last I check dad would chastise the family for leaving such things on the table. I read it. 

And found out my parents are away. 

I glanced around. I could make out movements in the darkness. I was really scared that I just sit on the couch, knowing whatever entity lurks in the house, I  have no choice but to get ready to see them. The movement went towards and and emerged from the darkness of the living room is a rat. It look as if it was challenging me before going back into the darkness.
