I like the mutation idea as well...

But this design is just kinda silly.

the horns on her back? i thought they were stumps at first, but they actually were horns? okay, that's a wee bit weird. having Scootaloo-esque wings would make more sense, or just stumps of feathers.

if Twilight could make fake-wings onto Rarity, i don't see why horns should sprout there, instead. but then again, it IS a mutation.
