  1. Hot, unless I'm having it mid-day, then I generally prefer iced coffee.
  2. I used to do it myself but since I daily drive an EV now... I just don't do it at all
  3. I listened to Headlights by Alex G, which released tonight. I was a big fan of the three singles released ahead of the album so I had pretty high expectations for it. I would say they were half met. I was really hoping for a fully complete album from him, but this album suffers from the same issue almost all his previous albums have, which is just not having great consistency. You’ll get hit with some absolute bangers (June Guitar, Is It Still You In There, Spinning) mixed in with middling songs that sound like something from a generic “low-fi indie songs” playlist on YT (Real Thing, Louisiana, Headlights). Which just doesn’t give you a ton of reason to go back and listen to the albums in full when you know only half the album is going to be worth listening to attentively. There’s also Far and Wide on this album which doesn’t really fit into either category, it sounds like Alex trying to do his best Death Cab for Cutie/Ben Gibbard impression and I’m not sure it works that well. The instrumental on the song is nice, tho it feels a bit out place when compared to the lyrics and singing (minus the chorus). This is probably his most “simple” album production wise but it’s still a far cry from something like Elliott Smith’s self titled where the primary instrument is only the acoustic guitar. Almost every song has some sort of electronic instrument in it and they all sound more “grand” and complex than almost any Elliott song. Which isn’t necessarily a good or bad thing, just a difference. I do like the simpler sound and think it suits him. Overall a good album but nothing revolutionary or anything.
  4. You and @Acinonyx seem to have a vendetta against pasta . Is there any pasta you two actually like?
  5. Kinda. Only when I think it’ll be useful. Sometimes I just get these specific trains of thought that I can’t stop thinking about, this is really common while I’m trying to fall asleep. And I find it’ll help if I write those thoughts down, basically helps my mind move on from them and onto something else that hopefully it won’t get stun locked on.
  6. I dunno man. I guess letting love find you? I don’t really put much thought into finding a partner or being in a relationship because I just don’t think it’s a mentally healthy or productive thing to do. But most of my previous relationships have occurred from random happenstance, not from me actively seeking a relationship.
  7. I too choose this (lack of) emotion. Anything is better than nothing.
  8. I’m going to say probably not. Morality is like one of those non-negotiables for me, if we don’t have a similar moral system and view of what’s good or evil there’s going to be too much conflict. Would you date someone who randomly disappears and is uncontactable for days at a time with no explanation as to why?
  9. AVGN is basically the YouTube/online content creator equivalent of The Beatles. His videos being so impactful culturally that all the other content creators you know were influenced by him either directly or indirectly.
  10. I modernized Qing era China and all it took was 2 violent revolutions!
  11. This account got merged with my old account and somehow ended up with the new account’s join date instead of the old ones. But all my old posts are still present if you look through my profile, such as: https://mlpforums.com/topic/26777-what-is-your-favorite-game-series-and-why/?do=findComment&comment=406268
  12. I guess. I mean, I’d probably offer to take them places instead because riding any sort of scooter on the main streets here is dangerous as hell. Would you date someone who doesn’t like animals?
  13. I’ve donated money to various charities, usually animal related ones. Most recent donations being to the local wildlife sanctuary. I’ve also donated old but working electronics to Goodwill before. And I’ve donated bone marrow as well. I’d like to donate blood but I really don’t tolerate it well. Plus the Red Cross is very picky about taking blood from “the gays”.
  14. Happy birthday! Here’s your cake:

  15. I forgot to post this earlier on in the day but I don’t wanna wait another week to post it so

  16. Online competitive shooters like Counter Strike or COD. That shit turns me into a cartoon character with a red face and steam coming out of my ears.
  17. It’s just bowling, Paul.
  18. This is very American centric, so my apologies. But I’ve never liked pickup trucks. Unless you have a reason to own one, like for towing, I don’t see the point. Less gas efficient than any other vehicle, more expensive to purchase, harder to park, harder to see other cars and pedestrians, tires are more expensive, they’re (generally) not as fun to drive and in exchange you get… a higher ride height and a bed most people don’t use? I’ve never seen the appeal.
  19. If there isn’t an animal sleeping on it I will. Which, I only sleep with a comforter (get too hot otherwise) so that just involves like pulling it over my pillows.
  20. Like everything it depends. Just general insults from strangers? Whatever, I don’t let those emotionally impact me. Who cares. Insults from someone I actually know? Totally different, especially since they tend to be a lot more specific and personal. A friend or family member knows what to say to get under your skin. And those are the ones that stick with you emotionally.
  21. Like, I’m dating them and they’re hitting on people? No, their ass is getting kicked to the curb. Would you date someone who sounds and talks like Jar Jar Binks?
  22. What’s your native language?
  23. No. But I do picture every comment left as being said by someone’s avatar Your pfp might as well be you to me.
