    I like discussing My Little Pony what ifs with Snoopy Fan, I even told him I love fantasy stories that involve magic, he likes the same, it is why I am not only a fan of Hasbro fiction like My Little Pony and Power Rangers, I am also such a big fan of DIsney movies like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. Though admittedly a lot of other fictional worlds would suck to exist in, magic or no magic. DC comic universes and Dragonball universes being those, because they have gods that can erase a universe anytime without consequence or accountability. You want a Monarch to complain about? try Omni King, he is by far the worst character in the story, regardless of what Frieza has done, at least there are individuals who can stop him.

    I wrote this to my friend Snoopy Fan, who is enjoying discussing what if scenarios and fan fictions about My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, I made sure respect for autonomy in the Bardo was a priority in this story. Do you think what I wrote was respectful to her characterization from the official show from Hasbro? did I do a good job not wishing this to be forced on individuals and not only myself? it's a fantasy, however I think our intentions still matter.

    How they could have done psychiatric wards for rehabilitation of villains in MLP FIM is something like Arkham Asylum from Batman except a system that actually works, and not a revolving door for sadists to repeat their crimes again and again, my biggest problem with DC is for the sake of a recurring villain, they almost never commit to rehabilitation, what's even worse is because of the incompetence of authorities, convicts escape, their justice system is useless and that is also true for DCAU. It may make for an entertaining story for some folks, but the truth is, that kind of writing is flawed and almost makes heroes look like jerks, though it is not entirely their fault villains kill repeatedly, but I am getting off topic here, I only used this as an analogy of psychiatric wards gone wrong in fiction.

    The problem with this episode is Starlight Glimmer was never given therapy for this after the fact. I think this is what Twilight Sparkle and Princess Celestia should have arranged for Starlight Glimmer given the circumstances as what she did in the episode Every Little Thing She Does was not cool, I don't hate her, I do empathize with her internal struggles, there is a clear desire to reform in this episode that many of the critics overlook, but unfortunately, her fear of not succeeding clouded her judgement, this is reasonable grounds for Twilight Sparkle to order medical intervention for Starlight. While it is important to recognize the severity of crimes, it is also important to recognize the importance of internal struggles and its affect on behavior, it is entirely possible past traumas could be affecting Starlight Glimmer's ability to behave proper, all the more reason for her to be taken to a psychiatric ward in my opinion.

    I think it sucks that children are exposed to adult rated media, unfortunately there is not much that can be done about it, because once the copy of the movie is in the possession of a parent or guardian, they pretty much have free reign to show it to whoever they want to behind closed doors. Sure, it is illegal to do it, but it's also hard to crackdown on, even if children had watched it, authorities would need to prove it was intentional for the parent to allow their children to watch it, or if they somehow obtained that copy by stealing or borrowing it from somebody else in their house. If they have plausible deniability, which they often do, nothing is done to stop it.

    Hi Night Sky, good morning or whatever time it is over there where you're at. How are you today? :) I think it's really cool that you made your OC a scout for Canterlot who lives in Cloudsdale but you travel between places in your fanfic.

    I wanted to say something about that actually, about how that shows your allegiance to Equestria if you were to be in that fantasy world with them. I mean why wouldn't we want to pledge our allegiance to them? a culture that prides themselves on unity and compassion, this would be the best thing to ever happen if we could in an imaginary scenario go there. To be accepted by them, like our fanfictions depict, it would be a privilege we would appreciate very much and we would not let it go to waste. If the deal were pledging our allegiance to them to be reborn there like in my fan fiction in that imaginary scenario, I'd say to them "No problem, I was going to do that anyway."

      Nothing about what I believe puts me at odds with the self evident fact that one's character is coterminous with one's fate. Two words for the same thing, it's a matter of semantics. 

      Sure, I have some weird, out there conceptions and beliefs, they do a lot to keep me moving. Those with spirit, work the longest. But it's not that I don't feel the same pain and fear everyone else does. Only that I relate to it differently. And MLP has certainly done much to help with that...it is quite able to justify its existence alongside all the old Scripturs...

      I have learned to accept people's beliefs though, even though I'm an agnostic, over the years I became more accepting of people with spiritual beliefs because faith is a powerful thing in its own right, it does not prove spirits or afterlives exist, but what it does do for some people, is gives them strength to keep going, as you said. It's kind of like in a battle, where some people would rather believe they can win a fight, than take the defeatist attitude and give up before the fight began. Doubt can sometimes do harm, sometimes bravery requires people to believe in their own potential.

      If we were in this MLP FIM fan fiction universe I mentioned which I had been working on, instead of the real world, then I think it's this accepting of believing in our own potential that could motivate Luna to allowing souls to pass into her domain. To be honest I think she may see lack of belief in our own potential as a form of weakness, she made an effort to self improve, others can do the same. If I went into the Bardo in that fantasy world scenario, with a defeatist attitude where I did not believe I could do anything to help Equestria, she may deny entry. In that fantasy world scenario, that is one plausible reason I can think of where a no answer would happen, because that is a character flaw Zephyr Breeze had in Hasbro official fiction.

    No problem, obviously that MLP FIM fanfic we discussed, it is not possible for our wish to come true. However not gonna lie, it would be cool. As we discussed, being able to fly would be nice, and those pegasus wings would look cute on us. I already have another friend who said he wished for this, Night Sky, he had this fantasy written on his own profile before I even asked him about it. What a fun adventure that would be in that fantasy world scenario, that would be freedom at its finest, I'd appreciate an existence like that, even with all the challenges that would come with there, like having to do physical training to use those wings properly.

    Snoopy Fan is really fun to talk to for what if scenarios and fan fictions, now he has been telling me if he were to be in Equestria at all in an imaginary scenario he'd want to be a pegasus, I couldn't care less which Pony he'd desire to be, the fact he desires it at all, is cute.

    Two powerhouses in a magic duel. I love enchantment, there's something so cool about fantasy stories that keeps me wanting more. But I don't just like magic for its own sake, I like to see it being used for a purpose, for justice, which is the point of friendship is magic, and this is a good example here, showcasing Twilight Sparkle's bravery in the fight against Tirek, even if she thought it could go badly wrong at any moment, she tried anyway, I admire her warrior spirit. I wouldn't have half her strength in a battle like this, if I were in that fantasy world with them, I'd probably be considered a wimp. I mean, I did say I'd cry if I were attacked by Queen Chrysalis, if Cutie Mark Crusaders or other children were in danger because of her in that imaginary scenario I was my OC there, I'd probably snap out of fear for their safety and confront Chrysalis then, but I know I'd be a goner, so I'd be hoping it to end quickly the moment my imaginary self got captured, but like, protecting children would be worth this in my book. I'm not a warrior and I never have been, not even back when I was a violent person, not in real life and it would not be different there.

    We could later on, if you'd prefer, there's no hurry or expectation, just a suggestion, discuss metaphysics in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and the possible ties to eastern mythologies.

    One thing I love about Friendship is Magic story telling, is paradise is earned, not given. In order to have peace, they need to go through trial and tribulation, magic can be used as a tool for either good or evil, but ultimately they must rely on the forces of unity to save them from a grim outcome. Treating others with respect and kindness, even other species not only Ponies, earns them their freedom from those who seek to destroy it.

    Hungry, I am about to eat in a moment so that does not matter. I am going to pick up The Best of Mike and the Mechanics CD album next week, because I like some of their songs, Silent Running, Over My Shoulder and All I Need is a Miracle, I may pick up an album of Gary Numan while I am at it as well. I have friends and a support group to keep me going, just as I wish others to have for themselves regardless of how chaotic the real world is. Life ain't fair sometimes, but as Twilight Sparkle in My Little Pony FIM said before others saved her and her friends from destruction in season 9, "We face it together." Yeah my obsession with MLP and daydreaming about it may be a symptom of some psychiatric disorder you mentioned before, but that is what fear of a dying and violent world does to you, it certainly has affected my mental state, at least I am on medication for my anxiety and depression though, some people in the world don't even get that, their mental health problems left untreated makes them more likely to self harm.

    The lyrics of the song from Mike and the Mechanics song Silent Running, an old song and has nothing to do with My Little Pony but when I listened the lyrics of the song, I am reminded of Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, her patriotism for Equestria, she is a Wonderbolt, and as for the non MLP song I was talking about, the otherworldly like instrumentation of the song, kind of goes well with what the show stands for. I particularly liked the part in the lyrics that said "Swear allegiance to the flag, whatever flag they offer." It's inclusive, means defend freedom, no matter which nation we are with.

    I think I may need to step outside as I do need a dose of serotonin myself, instead of being stuck in my room with some thoughts about things I cannot fix, however I wrote this on my profile recently.

    If there are any fictional writings that are similar to the real world, it's Samurai Jack, Aku rules the future, evil has become the unstoppable force keeping the world locked in a perpetual state of conflict. Only there is no Samurai Jack to save us, Aku does not exist, but people like him do, but there are a lot of awful people who will never be stopped. I feel disillusioned with the world because kindness is almost never part of the decision making process. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is different though, if I could talk to fictional character Luna, if she approached me about this, I could say to her "Why should I waste my life fighting for a world that will never change?" I'd make the case strongly, that I am tired of living in this world. All I have now, are daydreams of a world that can never be, including my fan fiction about transmigration into Equestria.

    Why do I say all this about Equestria from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic? why would I wish to be in that fantasy realm? I would have something to believe in, something worth fighting for, efforts for justice would not be wasted because there are enough like-minded individuals who also want the same thing, and not just selfishly destroying their world for the sake of materialism or vain aggression. I cannot bring the specifics of politics because if I did that my post would get flagged up for moderation. Just know that in the real world, there's nothing for me to fight for, because my faith in humanity gets wasted on a world that is not going to change for the better. Belief can be a strong thing, it gives us the drive to be somebody we never thought possible before, but belief in the impossible is not helpful.

    I wrote this to The Equestria Goth :twilightsmile: "I love Celestia. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are the Monarchs I would serve if I were in the fictional world Equestria, their compassion for their subjects, their ability to resolve differences without causing conflict, is admirable, I would pledge my loyalty to them, I have a few friends who said the same thing and even daydream about it sometimes. There are no other Rulers I'd serve, only them. How awesome it would be to live in Equestria, in a world more peaceful than this one. I'd be grateful, and in an imaginary scenario where I could go there if they reached out to me, like in my fan fiction where Luna looks for souls to be reborn there after passing on, I'd choose this if I could. I'd love to be there, a Pegasi, in a world where compassion keeps their society orderly and in balance."

    It is so nice when people are hugging. Also that gif from the show is cute as well, Trixie and Starlight Glimmer hugging, so adorable the way Trixie slowly trots over to Starlight, then hugs with a smile and her eyes closed. <3 As to how I am feeling today, better than usual, I've had a good night sleep if that's what anyone else is caring to ask, I'm not irritable like I was yesterday. But that's not important, what is important is how adorable this community is. Thank you for the cute hugs, seeing you being civil with each other is so lovely to see, Snoopy Fan, ZiggWheelsManning and you TheRockARooster. I've been listening to Mike and the Mechanics songs on Youtube.

      I love this one. Classic Tune, classic music video. Kind of an interesting film it was on the soundtrack too...

      Stephen Collins is known to me as Cmdr. Deckard from the first Star Trek Film, and I vastly prefer to remember him as such, neither as the preacher patriarch, or who he really turned out to be in irl. But, you will still hear this track in waiting rooms and department stores in the States, if you've been waiting for an hour or so. Super nostalgia. Vanished era. It scares me that I remember this. Feels like a thousand years ago.
