  1. No, not really. When you pirate something, the musician/corporation/etc doesn't get any money. So if it was legal to pirate, why would you buy any song/game when you could just get it online? There would be no profit in being a musician because you don't get any money because people pirate it online.

  2. SHIFT *NO LONGER* DRAWS WHATEVER YOU WANT

    "IGN WAS RIGHT" -Shift, 2016

Oh, yes, oh, hello. I don't think we've met. Have we? Ah, whatever. I'm Shift. Shift the... er... Peg... asus. Shift the Pegasus. You seem to be a member of MLP Forums. Do you have business with me?

    >You know who I am.

Ah, oh, yes, of course. It's all coming back to me now. Me closing the shop? Ah yes, i'm so sorry. That was by my hand, you know, but it was my teacher's doing. Too much silly, rugged homework. And quizzes! Regrettable, truly. But, behold, in a few weeks time I will be stripped of that unruly ruffian. And look at you! You seem fine. All's well that ends well, right? Yes, we'll be fine! Ah, though, I'm afraid i'm still closing up the shop. Causes stress in my erratic, beating heart. Don't want a silly girl to let such stress get to her in the middle of a honorable duel with some Darkwraiths, eh? So let's leave this all behind. You go to someone else for your drawings and leave me alone, won't you my friend?
    >Let her be.

Thank you! Ah, I know we'll be the most unbreakable of friends.

    Waiting List:

    i'm closed forever lol

  3. I love FFVII, and there's quite a few reasons for that. I actually only got around to playing it a month or so ago.

I got attached to all party members, even those I really don't use like Barret, Aerith, Cait Sith, and Red XIII. There's an actually threatening villain who I got freaked out by at multiple points, and has a pretty cool backstory (Sephiroth in the first 2/3rds of Crisis Core was pretty funny). Cloud's relateable, iconic, and is really interesting with the whole puppet storyline. It's really funny, namely most scenes with Cid and Yuffie (And crossdressing). The story was so good, it kept me on the edge of my seat most of the time. Only bad part was that golden chocobo, I hate you, go die, but I got a Knights of the Round out of it.

As for Advent Children, it was okay, but I only watched it for the fight scenes. That Sephiroth vs Cloud battle was awesome!

It's also pretty iconic, mostly because it was the first FF to be advertised in the west.

  4. I usually go for the default name, or make up something cool depending on the game. For example, in Pokemon, I ALWAYS name it after the game the person's in/the manga name. For example, in B/W I named my character White, since she's in B/W, in DPP I called my character Platinum, in Heartgold/Soulsilver I called my character Gold (yes, I like Gold better than Crystal in HGSS). Only time that this rule didn't follow for Pokemon is probably X/Y. I called my character Yvonne, because just Y isn't really a name that spoke to me. And in the PMD games I just call my characters something cool that relates to them; for example I called my Cyndaquill Crimson and my Snivy Severa.

In other names, just when something fits. In Fire Emblem it's always the default name (in FE:F i'm changing Corrin to Kamui though), in Zelda Link is always Link, in Xenoblade X I just went with Crow (since that sounds cool), Fallout I went with Astrid, Oblivion I went with Yuffie... never my real name though, I don't like my real name or self inserting myself.

  5. Incredible Hulk is unnecessary; I didn't really like it and it doesn't tell you anything about the Hulk that you don't know or can inference. Captain America I'd watch, because if you watch the first Captain America before Winter Soldier, some parts of W.S. will be a lot better. You'll also get introduced to a few central characters in W.S. that you'll like a lot more because you got attached.

Basically what everyone else said; Hulk's unnecessary, but you should watch Captain America.

  6. Capaldi's run I really haven't liked; Smith was great until Clara. I'm not sure if I don't like DW anymore because i'm older so the magic's gone, or it just isn't that good in terms of quality. I'm going with the latter; there have been quite a few shows and games that have sparked the same magic DW used to give in the past few years, so i'm just thinking DW has lost its spark.

Tennant is possibly my favorite season; it was the one I used to watch so in my opinion is was just such a fun, original, and magical season. Donna best companion.

Smith was... okay. So okay, it was average. Amy was a good character, and I really liked her, same with Rory and River. The episodes felt a bit dull and too complicated, though. Wasn't as fun as Tennant. It went downhill when Clara came, I really don't like her concept.

Capaldi is a good actor, but the writing... ick! I'm sure that Capaldi, if given a good, magical script, would work wonders, but that hasn't happened so far... also is Clara gone yet? The story is/was revolving around her and I really don't like that.

  7. I'm back and although first page I said Undertale was the best (and i'm honest, still is, probably my favorite game ever by this point), there are a few runner ups I forgot to mention.

Xenoblade X is amazing. The characters are great, the open world is pratically flawless, there are pretty much no loading screens, great music, fun gameplay, so much content, and great flexibility with customization. My character right now is pretty much the war cleric lovechild of Hinoka from Fire Emblem and Loki, and she's besties with Kadaj from Advent Children if he had a gun and was a girl. Few flaws; mostly no autosave, ridiculously small text, and a nonexistant tutorial.

Splatoon has a great sense of humor; it's punny, so much fun, original, and overall just a blast. Ranked makes me pretty salty, though. I main the Kelp Splatterscope, so good E-Liters make me drown in salt. I really can't think of many flaws that haven't been fixed via patches.

And those two were the runner ups! ...yes, um, that's it. Undertale's still the best in my opinion, though. I have heard Bloodbourne and Witcher have been good, though.

  8. Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, bar none. I've never been a huge fan of Animal Crossing, but I like it, it's a fun, cute game to play when you're down. Amiibo Festival is a mockery. One, amiibos are required to play, which is some bullshit (in my eyes, amiibos were meant to be fun, optional little trinkets that weren't necessary to play a game but were fun to have). And second, the gameplay is like a watered down Mario Party. Nintendo would be better off releasing Animal Crossing DLC to Mario Party, like in Mario Kart, then releasing a whole new, awful game.

The only thing positive about it is that they kept the personality of the game in. Gameplay's still bad.

  9. MERRRRRY CHRISTMAS!

I didn't ask for much this year; just Mariokart 8 (Yes I own a Wii U but not Mariokart until now, I know, I've failed as a person), Xeno X (Skyrim with robots), Tri Force Heroes (Heard online is really, really fun), and Kid Icarus Uprising (I've played a lot of it with my friends copy, but I don't actually own it). And money. And a few Star Wars trinkets.

EDIT: Verdict on all of them

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Yeah, this is going to keep me busy until Fire Emblem Fates. 10/10. Cutscenes are a bit long, but otherwise, no flaws. It's skyrim with robots. It's also rather difficult, but maybe that's because i'm in earlygame hell.

Mariokart 8: It's fun, but Rainbow Road can still go jump in a pit and die.

Tri Force Heroes: Hilarious game, online is tons of fun. All you do is spam emotes.

Kid Icarus Uprising: A bit hard, but nevertheless a very fun and funny game. Hilarious, Palutena is best angelic boss.

  10. Welp, since Season 5's over, added more options to the poll!

I personally really didn't like the Dazzlings; I felt they were shoehorned in the plot and that they just weren't all that interesting, and were overall very forgettable. Also I didn't like their designs so... I just thought they were handled very poorly.

  11. I personally just think it's a fun joke, nothing to be upset about. I use the sticky bar but if I don't, then I won't think i'm out of touch because of a joke. It might be because I think friendship is constantly teasing each other over and over. A simple line of text doesn't get me all worked up, and i'm sure most of this site would agree.

TL;DR: Don't change it, I don't see how a simple harmless joke would offend anyone.

  12. Personally i'm really excited for Corrin; I don't care about the reps so much as the character. And FE is extremely popular in Japan, where Smash is developed, and Japan has been obsessed with the new Fire Emblem since June, so... Also Corrin looks like such fun to play as! I mean, she can shift into a dragon! I can tell Corrin's gonna be my main.

Bayonetta looks completely awesome too, and fits right in with Smash. She was also my ballot pick, so needless to say, i'm very happy.

Pythia's day went from bad to worse. The second she was gathering the muster to walk in, the wizard was swearing like a sailor in his mind (she winced, she never did like intense thoughts), Trag shocked all of the prisoners (But they weren't doing anything wrong! Except the demon.), and jerkface wizard... um... transformed into a demon? Oh, and another newbie used an impressive display of blood magic.

And then that wizard showed his... um... magic... Pythia kept her unemotional mask on but was actually panicking in the inside, especially when he mentioned ripping her eyes from her sockets. And he seemed to be prideful... and boastful... that would probably be his downfall, at one point. It also meant he was going to have a hard time, SHARC was dedicated to ripping you of your boastfulness and pride. And jesus, that blood magic guy was probably going to give her a heart attack. She was queasy around blood.

Pythia, although slightly traumatized from Hollyway's... no, the demon's actions, she realized that the telepathy field was sending out pain signals from all of the prisoners. Shoot, did Trag shock them all? Only the demon was doing anything wrong! Pythia completely forgot about worrying that Greyson was there and walked in, her unemotional facade as strong as ever. She faced Trag.

"Bossman- um, Sir!" Pythia quickly scrambled to make up her mistake. Shoot, it totally wasn't an off day. She quickly reapplied her unemotional mask. "Don't you think it's rather unnecessary to shock all of them? The new recruits weren't doing anything wrong. Well, Hollyway was, he used his magic and deliberately tried to anger you. The rest, i'm sure, were confused, such as that charming blood magic user..." She awkwardly waved at the blood magic user, and also threw in a quick wave at Hollyway for good measure. "I'm sure I would be confused to if I was brought into this awf- wonderful facility. If you have any further punishments to dictate, wouldn't it be best to punish those at fault instead of innocents as well?"

Nevermind, she was definitely having an off day, if she was accidentally letting her inner insults slip out. She was really on edge today. And she was ridiculously stressed right now too; even though she looked unemotional on the outside, she was having a minor panic attack on the inside. She slowly took a step back, as far away from the demon and Greyson she could manage without it looking deliberate. She looked at Agnes and silently motioned for her to come in. She really wanted someone to catch her if she fainted from a heart attack.

  14. @@Shift,

    (You ain't a jerk. XD)

Agnes thought for a bit. She had to admit, the idea of skipping the tests in favor of adventure gave her a feeling like the cherry pie she hadn't tasted in three years. But the thought of the consequences for missing testing sent chills down her spine.

    Not cold enough, though.

Won't wanna scold him, but how about we check out these folks? We haven't seen any new folks in a long time, after all.

    (Thank you!)

Pythia heard the thought, although it was rater blurred; she didn't like reading other's thoughts, emotions were her ally. She nodded "Sure. Let's go." Pythia walked towards the gymnasium, and stopped right in front of the opening. She could see the newbies, Lousie, bossman, and wait, shoot, it was Greyson! She and him shared mental-related abilties, so she was extra resistant to mental attacks, so when she was an early newbie, she had a very bad time with him. And she wasn't really eager to revist those nightmarish times, so she hid behind Agnes, who was also standing at the gymnasium doors.

"C-can you go in first? And let me quiver behind you away from other creepy t-telepaths?" Pythia decided she needed to stop quivering and put on a mask again, but just looking at Greyson was making her shake in her boots. She really needed to be less of a doormat. She gained her compuse slightly, and continued to hide behind Agnes, but was still quivering in anticipation. The bossman, Greyson and Louise probably saw them by now, so no backing out.
