    What is it with young kids online and their total lack of punctuation whatsoever? I can understand noncapitalization, but how the hell do you even construct a sentence without commas and full-stops?!

      Basic English grammar is a simple mechanical skill that can easily be mastered in a couple of weeks, and will stick with you for life. I find it painful just how many people can't be bothered to express their thoughts in coherent writing anywhere outside of an academic essay. Grammar was invented to improve communication, not academic cruft.

      I once asked all my friends for all e-mails and texts to be written in proper English. Any that disobeyed got a reply asking for the message to be re-sent in English.
