I suppose it is a subculture, in a way, since it's reached further than other fandoms I know and bronies do share certain values, beliefs, choices, views etc etc. 1. The most important value would be Love and Tolerance - learning to accept different opinions, and to respect and appreciate them whenever possible, including coming from people outside the community. Also, friendship - we value friendship and our community - that is what we learn from the show. We stand up for each other, respect each other and share problems and advice to help each other. 2. We watch and discuss the show, make fanworks to show how much we love it, maybe try to bring a little ponification into our everyday lives One thing we all share in the community is something people don't think about aften - our differences. We all come from different areas, cultures, backgrounds, groups/fandoms etc. 3. Common beliefs... Well, again, Love and Tolerance and friendship above all. Everyone should be entitled to their opinion and be respected and accepted as a person. 4. The show gives us our base - what we draw little things like jokes and memes, OCs, fanon and all that from, and also bigger things like little life lessons we can live by Hope this helped and good luck with your essay~!

As pretty much every reply to this says, they don't seem like very good friends. I would call them out on it if I were you and if they don't apoligise/keep bullying you, they aren't worth it. And I'm pretty sure at least one of them who watches it at the weekend will end up liking it, even if they only tell you, and refuse to mention it to anyone else. I wish you good luck with this!

I saw it this way: Twilight's special talent is advanced magical skills, which is what the stars in her cutie mark represent. The fact that Shining Armor also has a large pink star in his cutie mark suggests his talent involves magic - the shield means it's protective magic, like the giant forcefield he made. I expect he got it when defending Twilight. That's just my thoughts

She runs an animal sanctuary, as far as I'm concerned - vet, pet shop and adoption agency all rolled into one. She might also sell her chickens' eggs and as @@pinkiefan1287 suggested, she could monitor wildlife.

The reunion of Celestia and Luna in the pilot, Fluttershy defending her friends in Dragonshy, the stories in Cutie Mark Chronicles, in Owl's Well That Ends Well, Spike tearing up and thinking Twilight no longer loves him, Pinkie Pie the end of Baby Cakes, the ending to Secret Of My Excess, Twilight reading all the letters in Return Of Harmony... there's a lot of scenes I found really sweet and touching, many of them making me want to cry, but only one did, because of how much I relate to it; I'm very close to my older brother, and I really look up to him. When I first heard BBBFF, I was just getting the basic message in my head, the second time, I was learning it. The third time, however, was one day when my parents were out and my brother was still away at university. He was supposed to be coming home that week, but ended up having to stay a couple weeks longer. I was listening to BBBFF and noticed how much it fit my childhood with him, and it reminded me that I had to wait longer than I should have to see him again, and I just sat crying for half an hour, replaying the song over and over.
