  1. There really should be no reason whatsoever that people are complaining about a crossguard lightsaber and a black stormtrooper in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. I thought the crossguard saber looked cool, and I don't mind a black stormtrooper, or whoever this character is (never saw Attack the Block). Stories have persisted that the crossguard saber comes from the expanded Star Wars universe but is rarely seen, and that stormtroopers are meant to be clones of Jango Fett. I gotta love the ridiculous memes that came with the crossguard saber, including the Swiss Army lightsaber, plus this: http://pixelkitties.deviantart.com/art/Discord-Of-The-Sith-497751336 It's not as bad as the prequels, but these minor little details are something that fans shouldn't complain about. Maybe the "Attack the Block" guy is one of the new protagonists and that the additional crossguard thingies in the new lightsaber are a different kind of laser that is solid and doesn't cut anything, including your hand. It's too early to tell, so why complain now? I don't think they have lead lined refridgerators in this universe, so they can't nuke the fridge. Plus, Jar Jar Binks was killed during the Great Jedi Homicide in Episode III (although never seen but fans assume), so that can ease your nerves. So many theories, so little time.
  2. Each day I look at Hasbro, especially around this time of year, Christmas, and I see a company that seems to have taken control over almost every major toy property out there. According to a CNN Money video posted on Equestria Daily, Mattel is lagging behind Hasbro, and they emphasize what seemingly feels like the only two toy companies out there. Lego seems to be doing well without being owned by either Hasbro or Mattel. Remember back in the 90s when Microsoft seemed to be taking over the computer world? I'm starting to wonder if Hasbro is trying to do the same thing in this day and age, buying up every successful toy company. They even said in the same CNN Money that Hasbro, with it's Disney licensed properties, might as well be a Disney company. I can remember that Disney was in talks to buy Hasbro two years ago, but they never bought Hasbro. I believe the ponies helped with that. Earlier this month, Hasbro wanted to buy the struggling Dreamworks Animation, but Disney stopped them from being a competitor. You should offer your own opinions on this subject. Is Hasbro a Monopoly (excuse the pun, because Monopoly is owned by Hasbro) or are they a competitor to other toy companies. I have several listed here: Mattel, Jakks Pacific, Spin Master, Jazwares Toys, Thinkway Toys, Playmates Toys, Lego, Wham-O, Funrise, Funko, McFarlane Toys (adult action figures), Bandai, Takara Tomy, Duncan (mainly Yo-Yos). Do you think that the line ends there with Hasbro controlling everything (exaggeration), or will Hasbro be only one of several toy companies competiting against each other. Matter of fact, 3D printing has enabled folks to be their own toy company, believe it or not. 3D Printing and Prototyping companies have popped up recently, even the fans are making their own pony merch. Consider Shapeways a toy company, among other 3D printing companies.
  3. The reason why I ask this stupid question is in Miracle on 34th Street, they dumped a bunch of letters on a judge's desk to provide evidence that Kris Kringle is Santa Claus. But that was 1947. This is now. Most of our written communications come from emails and social network messages. I asked Mom this stupid question, and she said that you would just flood the judge's email inbox. I asked Dad the same question, and he said that judges usually don't have a specified email address as a dumping ground for evidence. He knows this because he's worked on installing an electrical system in a courthouse. It's like that same visual from 1947 can't be matched with today's technology. Sure, celebrities don't give out their private contact information, so the best way to contact them is through their agent, where you can send them a picture for the celebrity to sign. But other than that, how can one even provide that same visual from the old days of 1947 if technology has made leaps and strides? A bunch of printed papers would work, but letters in envelopes? Maybe not.
  4. Equestria Girls is primarily a spin off franchise. We should have a real movie distributed in theaters worldwide to go up against giants such as Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks. The movie I desire and want to make myself will have much of what makes the original show great, the Mane 6 in the, well, main roles, and a new character to join the cast, a green stallion named Emerald Wishes (voiced by me) that the Mane 6 along with the alicorn princesses help reach out to with the magic of friendship, building him back up, of course a daunting first time task for the Mane 6. You see, Emerald Wishes is this character who was a student of Princess Celestia's and felt like she was a second mother to him, after his real parents died under mysterious circumstances (he witnessed their death as a colt, so he has a secret). After being invited to the Royal Wedding, he overhears that babble about Twilight Sparkle not being invited to the wedding, a character that he is madly in love with, and thinks in his exaggerated mind that Twilight's closest buds have betrayed her. Things don't get any better after he witnesses Queen Chrysalis knock Princess Celestia unconscious whilst defending her country, and believes that Chrysalis killed her (heck, if your mother or father was knocked out whilst trying to protect you, wouldn't you feel the same way?). Attempting to flee from the horror, he steps into a magic mirror which transports him to the human world (not like Equestria Girls, but the real, live action, human world with everything from New York to Tennessee to Georgia to Texas to Utah and finally to California.) There he gains more power and magic going back and forth from Equestria to America and learning all the ins and outs of the human world over the course of 12 years. After 12 years, he comes back to Equestria fully trained and ready to kill Queen Chrysalis and her entire changeling race, only to eventually discover that not only was he wrong about Twilight's betrayal and Celestia's death, but also that revenge and violence is not the way and that friendship is the strongest magic (Should I just accept that in the fictional cartoon land of Equestria friendship is the strongest magic?) I want a movie like this to have so many of the elements that we have come to love in the show. Right now the show itself is writing my movie or Hasbro's movie. Hope that no one is offended about my brief bio of the character Emerald Wishes. He's a character that learns that friendship is magic, and the Mane 6 have to cope with the task of sharing that magic with him and make him "sparkle and shine". One time while posting on this forum one of you stated something about Hasbro not wanting me to have my Emerald Wishes character as an autistic pony, because they wouldn't want to take a risk or do daring things like I do.
  5. The length that some of these people go to make cosplay costumes of their favorite comic book, TV show, cartoon, movie, video game, etc. is absolutely insane. I was browsing photos from Comic Con 2014 and I found that one costume ended up being a Xenomorph Alien that looked like it came from the Stan Winston Creature Shop. Another costume was a walk around Disneyland style costume of Olaf the Snowman from Frozen. Heck, at DragonCon of 2012 I saw that one person cosplayed as Iron Man and his suit looked so authentic it looked like it jumped out of the movie. I'm starting to assume that these guys are skilled craftsmen and craftswomen who make the costume themselves. Cosplaying as Cheese Sandwich will be basic. I have a yellow polo shirt, but the wig will be the difficult part. Trying to assemble the materials for Big Macintosh costume may be easier said than done. Being Kristoff from Frozen is more likely for me than being Prince Hans because Prince Hans princely duds are far more expensive than Kristoff's snow mountaineer outfit. My mom one time helped my brother cosplay as Link from The Legend of Zelda for Halloween. Since he works at Peace Love Pizza, and has a red and white hat, he just needs to put a Pokemon League logo on the hat, get the white shirt, blue vest, and jeans, and then he can cosplay as Ash Ketchum for Halloween. As for me, I'm more experienced in computers and technical stuff than I am at artistic stuff. Of course, I do write, voice act, edit, and create basic visual effects, and I have drawn cartoons before, but nothing of a high Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks caliber will come from me. I never really sewed before, that's why Mom always helps me get the right materials to cosplay as the character I choose to cosplay as for Halloween. Last year, I was Doctor Who with a fez and mop. This year, I may create a cosplay of Cheese Sandwich or Kristoff. Lord Tirek is more difficult and elaborate, and so is Prince Hans.
  6. Yes, this is a cast for a MLP animated movie in theaters. For some reason a lot of animated movies seem so obsessed with having their characters be played by celebrities. I prefer to cast real stars that have been acting for years, know their way around any script, and above all, sound totally cool. Most animated movies only cast whoever is popular in the current day among kids. I don't want to do that. Count the number of times you have seen a trailer for an animated movie advertising the fact that celebrities voice the characters. Rio 2 has Bruno Mars, and Bruno Mars never really had any acting experience at all. Compare this to Liam Neeson, who has been acting ever since 1980 and has such a great voice.
  7. Sure Equestria Girls is becoming some sort of franchise for Hasbro and is getting two sequels, one coming out this fall, but I think it's about time someone with a real passion for both MLP:FIM and 2D animation stepped up and made a MLP movie that is not Equestria Girls. How hard is it exactly to get something in 4,000 plus theaters? Lionsgate has no trouble with that considering the prevalence of the Hunger Games franchise, but My Little Pony is also a franchise. I feel that I should make a MLP movie. Here is my dream cast for the movie I dream to make (under the guidance of Hasbro it will probably be different): (Princess) Twilight Sparkle – Tara Strong Rainbow Dash/Applejack – Ashleigh Ball Pinkie Pie/Fluttershy – Andrea Libman Rarity/Princess Luna/Mrs. Cake – Tabitha St. Germain Spike/Mayor Mare – Cathy Weseluck Princess Celestia/Cheerilee – Nicole Oliver Applebloom – Michelle Creber Sweetie Belle – Claire Corlett Scootaloo – Madeleine Peters Big Macintosh – Peter New Zecora – Brenda Crichlow Shining Armor – Andrew Francis Princess Cadence – Britt McKillip Diamond Tiara – Chantal Strand Snips – Lee Tockar Snails – Richard Ian Cox Discord – John de Lancie Trixie/Queen Chrysalis – Kathleen Barr Cheese Sandwich – Weird Al Yankovic Derpy Hooves – Grey Delisle Doctor Whooves – David Tennant Emerald Wishes – Jordan White (me) Prince Oblivion – Benedict Cumberbatch Star-Swirl the Bearded – Ian McKellan Undecided character – James Rolfe Undecided character – Doug Walker Undecided character – Mathew Buck Undecided character – Sean Prendergast Undecided character – Tom Hanks Undecided character – Chuck Norris Undecided character – Temple Grandin Undecided character – Idina Menzel Undecided character – Morgan Freeman Undecided character – Alison Brie Undecided character – Bryon Cranston Undecided character – Liam Neeson Undecided character – Arnold Schwarzenegger Undecided character – Michael Caine Undecided character – Christopher Walken Undecided character – Julie Andrews Undecided character – Marsha Hunt Undecided character – Lauren Bacall Red Fraggle (cameo) – Karen Prell Boober Fraggle (cameo) – Dave Goelz Wembly Fraggle (cameo) – Steve Whitmire Mokey Fraggle (cameo) – Kathryn Mullen Gobo Fraggle (cameo) – Matt Vogel What do you think of my choices?
  8. I seem a little worried. The only new villain that's really appeared on this show in the new season is Mane-iac, and she was just a comic book character in some enchanted comic book. The only villain that affected anything in Season 4 was supposedly Discord, and the only reason Nightmare Moon showed up was because it was a flashback with animation that would make the godfather of feature animation himself, Walt Disney, proud. For some time after I viewed the Comic Con animatics, I was thinking that Nightmare Moon really was going to come back, yet instead it was a flashback, so Nightmare Moon was just a one time thing. After the 9 episodes that have aired so far in Season 4, I'm starting to think that the show is running out of ideas for villains. Actually, that's my question. Has the show run out of ideas for villains or are new ones coming up in future episodes?
  9. There are boy scouts and girl scouts in the real world, cub scouts from The Berenstein Bears, the My Little Pony universe should try Filly Scouts, with our beloved Cutie Mark Crusaders in tow. Not only should they sell cookies like girl scouts would do in the real world, but also do some of the things that would usually be done by boy scouts, such as first aid, pitch tents, handling nature like a boss, and being very brave. What do you guys think? Is this a good idea for the show?
  10. Okay, I see where you're going. Maybe I should rewrite my movie idea, centered around the main 6, and taking place 12 years after A Canterlot Wedding. Maybe I should save the autistic character for an original animated production of my own writing. Sorry if I caused much trouble. Either way, I still want to make a movie in 2023 that is dedicated to Walt Disney, because 2023 is the 100 year anniversary he founded the Disney company. It probably should be something different other than MLP. Well, I really like the show the way it is, but what I would like to see is the mane 6 and the princesses really kick some honey buns, not to get their honey buns kicked. By which I mean, have a little Popeye the Sailor Man style fight.
  11. A Canterlot Wedding was going to be mainly about the "pretty pink pony princess" wedding. Us fans saw it as a new epic story with a new beast villain. The reason why I want to have an autistic character in the My Little Pony movie is 1. There has never been before in the history of mankind an autistic character that was animated. There have already been autistic characters in cinema. Rain Man, anyone? 2. I want to be the real risk taker, the misfit, the crazy one. Walt Disney was a risk taker. Steve Jobs was a risk taker. John Lasseter was a risk taker. Albert Einstein was a risk taker. Thomas Edison was a risk taker. Martin Luther King Jr. was a risk taker. The ones who help change the world are the ones who take the big risks and are not afraid to stand up for what they believe is right. If I make this movie that I want to make, I'll probably be the first high functioning autistic person in the history of mankind to ever direct any movie ever in the history of Hollywood. I never saw Derpy as being autistic. Compared to Derpy, Emerald Wishes is really smart. I'm really smart, I don't have wall eyes, and I'm progressing farther than some of you can even imagine. Some folks thought I would never make it past high school. Well, I did. Some folks believe that I would never make it past college. Well, here I am, and I only have a small handful of college semesters left. Sure there is going to be an Equestria Games, but A Canterlot Wedding was based around an villain plot that took place in the midst of a big Equestria event. Not to mention I want to have reindeer in the movie. Not only is this because the writers established that hooved mammals can speak, but also it is because I am a huge fan of the stop motion Rankin Bass Christmas Specials, including their most famous one, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, which will turn 50 next year. The writing team probably has better ideas than I do, so proper collaboration with them on the movie will ensure that I have a good original movie based on a story universe based on a toy, which probably wouldn't count as being original. In order to get a quality product, I need a real crew plus an MPAA official to make sure the movie is rated G. I don't mean for a male character to take the place of Twilight! I just want to add some male characters in order to help balance out the male and female characters, still keeping the focus on the female characters. There has never been a boys club in Equestria, so having male characters to balance out the male and female characters can add some substance.
  12. On Facebook, the Hub and the MLP Facebook page have been teasing about the Equestria Games, which will undoubted be in the Season 4 finale, which will very likely be a two parter. The problem is, I'm worried that it is going to steal some of my ideas that I have for the movie, which I want to make once I get my career going. Some folks have criticized me for wanting more gruesome violence on My Little Pony. Not true, I only worry about it getting so dark, distraught, and PG-13-ish, which I should know by know that it won't. My idea for the movie involves a male autistic unicorn pony named Emerald Wishes witnessing that fateful wedding where he thinks Queen Chrysalis killed Princess Celestia, which in real life she didn't, and spends 12 years of his life becoming more powerful in order to "avenge Celestia's death" yet learns that Celestia is doing fine and Queen Chrysalis never came back in 12 years and eventually helps the Mane 6 and the princesses in fighting the large evil approaching Equestria. I'm a little worried that if the Season 4 finale brings Queen Chrysalis back, or even worse, reforms her, my idea for the movie that I've been mapping in my head for the past 2 years goes directly in the dustbin and I have to start entirely from scratch again. I'm just a senior in college, and after college I want to establish myself as an animation studio guy and make the My Little Pony movie by the year 2023. I sometimes worry that Hasbro has placed secret cameras in my house to monitor what I'm thinking and then they're gonna steal some of my ideas before I get to make them. Of course I'm joking about the cameras part, but we all have that feeling that we are being watched by something else, even when we're alone. Only thing that could watch us all is the Lord God Almighty. Do you have any feelings that the show may steal your ideas about the whole Pony universe?
  13. It was early January 2006 in Breckinridge, Colorado, a neat little town that is a popular skiing destination for folks going on vacation in the area, right near the Great Divide in North America. I was in my hotel room, my little sister was watching TV, The Disney Channel to be precise, and what I saw on there did not reflect in any manner the Disney I knew, you know, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, those classic Disney movies such as Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King, and of course, that loveable bug, Herbie. It was just some show called The Suite Life of Zach and Cody and endless advertisements for a TV movie called High School Musical. The movie aired and became popular spawning a bunch of merchandise. Then this other show called Hannah Montana came along and it too became popular, spawning merchandise. I had to repeatly sit back as my little sis took over my TV time and I had to watch these horrible tween (as I later found out they were) shows and movies such as Cowbelles, Read it and Weep (not the pony episode of the same name), and Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior. The rate that these programs were coming at me, their insepid focus on teenage girls, my animation snobbiness at the time (Home on the Range was supposed to be the final Disney 2D film) for classic animated stuff, and the stuff I grew up with (I watched a lot of cartoons and animated shows as a kid, even the puppet shows I watched) made me think for a while, "Gee, cartoons are like, dead". That statement, as I know now, proved to be "highly illogical" and incorrect. The 2nd animation renaissance helped me out extremely well. Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh were 2D animated, even though that's the best they could do, and CGI animation was starting to gain an asthetic that was reminescent of 2D animation, and next month's upcoming Disney movie Frozen proves that. Also, good cartoons were starting to pop up (tried Phineas and Ferb but gave up on it after "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted"). By the time I started watching everypony's favorite show about candy color equines, all thoughts about cartoons being dead quickly faded away. Well, it wasn't my fault for thinking they were dead, maybe you should ask the Disney channel producers.
  14. I admire Princess Celestia, but a pony like herself should not be my enemy or betrayer nor should she be the sort to die with one stroke. The My Little Pony Facebook page tossed this up: What’s the best piece of advice you ever received? Share it! – Twilight Sparkle I replied to this post with this: Didn't Celestia say this phrase right after she betrayed Twilight and died at the hand of Queen Chrysalis?
  15. But still, the words of that Frank Sinatra song are classic. They even played the song on the Apollo 11 mission. It would really be a jumping the shark moment if the Apollo 11 module landed on the moon where Twilight and her friends got banished to and then Neil Armstrong just helps them get back to Equestria. I threw that idea out the window, because its too stupid.
  16. I can't get enough of "Apples to the Core" but the animatic segment featuring Twilight and Luna has me going about in my mind in questions. Simply put, Luna turns into Nightmare Moon again out of pure envy and jealousy. Does this mean she will have to get banished to the moon again for another 1000 years? Also, William and Kate had their royal baby, and it's a boy. Does this mean there will be a baby shower two parter and Shining Armor and Princess Celestia hitting Twilight in the face repeatedly till the blood spills on the ground, then both of them completely disowning her and then Queen Chrysalis comes back and kills Princess Celestia for real this time and abducts the royal baby? What I mean is, will history repeat itself in the 4th season, and was Twilight's lessons about friendship ever since Nightmare Moon were all for nothing since Luna turns into Nightmare Moon again and gets banished to the moon AGAIN?! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING AGAIN!! Sorry, made a Hangover II quote to get out my point, which is, back in the old days of making sequels to movies, you would just simply repeat the plot of the first movie, but change a few things like oh, say, the location. This Die Hard is different because it's in Washington D.C. This Home Alone is new because it's in New York. This Teen Wolf is about boxing, and so forth. Hangover II did the exact same thing. Will the Season 4 pilot do the same thing? Man, I can imagine Twilight saying something like, "Man, I cannot f***ing believe this. The same villain. The same method of defeating her. How can the same s**t happen to the same pony twice?!" If this quote sounds familiar, then that's because it's from Die Hard 2. Does this turn of events mean Nightmare Moon will be on the moon for another 1000 years? All I think she will hear is, Fly me to the moon Let me play among the stars Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars In other words, I love you. What are your views on this. Will the show really repeat its own plots or something like a terrible movie sequel?
  17. After having seen Equestria Girls, and afterwards reading the summary on mlp.wikia.com, I was just curious as to what royal duties Twilight Sparkle is supposed to have. Does this mean it will be like how the Beatles described what Beatlemania was like? They said that it was all a bunch of rooms and a bunch of cars, like they were prisoners of some sort. How am I supposed to buy that Twilight Sparkle is going to be wandering around Ponyville without any guards or someone trying to assassinate her? I mean, what's her duty right now. Be a prisoner to her own fame?
  18. One of the things about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that makes it so successful is that it portrays some sort of innocent happy place where people can watch and escape for a little while, then go back to a reality where things are harder. There aren't any terrorists on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, nor will there ever be. There's only evil kings and queens as villains on the show, not terrorists that make you think of al Queda or Afghanistan. One problem does remain with me though. Given the show's strong suit in developing the characters and putting them in situations that really are relatable to both kids and adults, such as bullying, fighting for your friendships, or even persisting even through such hard times, why do I keep on expecting more violence or abuse in a show where there won't be any. Sure, there's a limit to how much violence you can put in a show that's rated TV-Y, but for the most part, it's innocent, care free fun. To be honest, I was expecting A Canterlot Wedding to be more violent than it actually is, actually, far more violent. I was sort of expecting Princess Celestia to abuse Twilight or give her some sort of beating just because she tried to warn Celestia about the danger. Heck, I was sort of expecting some character to die, maybe a random red shirt or something, because as we all know from Star Trek, red shirts have low life expectancies. Thought they were going to pull a Lion King on us with the death of Celestia. Thankfully, I got none of these, just Twilight getting shunned, Celestia going unconscious, and some sort of silly fight with a pack of changelings. With the first, it sort of felt like Ponyville Confidential, where the town didn't want to talk to the Cutie Mark Crusaders because they were gossiping about them, just, "I don't want to talk to you right now", yet you're still friends with them, yet when they rectified their mistakes by apologizing in the paper, the town forgave them and everything was good. Similar to Twilight, who rectified her mistake at the morning wedding rehearsal by bringing back the real Cadence, apparent she thought the imposter Cadence was the real Cadence gone evil, but she was wrong. With the second, any human being can go into unconciousness. Sure, we're not totally magically powerful like Celestia, but we are tough. We're in a deeper sleep than usual, still breathing, but it's hard to wake us up. With the third, do you really think anyone wants some sort of recreation of Saving Private Ryan or even Glory, you know, war movies, where the bloodshed was great and you have a ton of dead bodies and chopped limbs lying on the ground, all in a cartoon? Of course not. That would sacrifice our TV-Y rating, wouldn't it. But the question here is, why am I expecting violence in a show where I know there isn't going to be very much of it? Maybe it's because of, I don't know, PG-13, R, video game ratings like T and M, and maybe the fact that books like the Hunger Games have a lot of blood and violence, yet they tone it down for the PG-13 rating just to get a wider audience? Maybe I'm a guy? Heck, maybe there are many things wrong with me that I need to correct. Wonder if it's that, things wrong with me? How about you try to help me out here, because I know that My Little Pony Friendship is Magic would never have gritty violence or abuse at all. That would sacrifice the innocence of the show.
  19. Magical Mystery Cure was good, and they've given good reasons for Twilight Sparkle becoming a alicorn and a princess, and why she's still a student to Princess Celestia. But is everyone in Ponyville and Equestria going to look at her like she's a celebrity and start mobbing her asking for autographs? What if she starts running away from them like the Beatles from A Hard Day's Night or Help? I know Twilight Sparkle is a princess, but the Beatles were like superstars back in the 1960s. Haven't you even seen either of A Hard Day's Night or Help? The Fab Four run away from a crazed mob of young fans and put on disguises and hide in several places in those films, and it was effectively parodied in Episode 3: The Ticket Master. Even Fluttershy in Episode 20: Green Isn't Your Color, has to put on a hat and sunglasses to evade anyone looking at her like a superstar. How exactly does Johnny Depp feel when he's walking out in public in the ghost town of Los Angeles (I say ghost town because filmmaking has become more globalized and less California-centric)? Do people mob and raid him like he's a god or whatever? Will this even happen to Twilight Sparkle at all, now that she's become a princess. It's too early to tell, Season 3 ended last weekend and Season 4 won't come until fall of this year. How does Johnny Depp get away with being a regular customer at a hair salon or L.A.'s local Wal-Mart? I can't tell, I'm not a celebrity, nor have I ever met Johnny Depp (though I can tell you, I met Tara Strong at DragonCon). Several films and cartoons parody superstardom and fan appreciation, and I wouldn't be too surprised if Twilight Sparkle gets mobbed by fans asking for autographs or trying to get a piece of her. Is Twilight Sparkle now like The Beatles?
  20. Every show, good or bad, usually has a moment in the show where it jumps the shark. For some bronies, the Season 3 finale may be that moment. Hasbro has taken down Friendship is Witchcraft but hasn't taken down any fan art or other fan videos from DeviantArt and YouTube. It's also trying to make Twilight Sparkle into an alicorn, and (although I don't believe this) there are rumors that they'll axe Derpy from Season 4. Are we suddenly gonna go back to before October 10, 2010, before the show debuted, where it suddenly becomes obscure again, where we're only liking stuff like CSI or Fringe or Dead Bodies or something like that, not seeing some sort of happy place on TV? Geez man, being asperger's and all, I don't find Derpy offensive. I can understand how Twilight has progressed so much, how could she not become an alicorn. The Entertainment Weekly article said that Megan McCarthy stated she will retain the same personality and such. I worried more that Hasbro takes control of the show too much. I feel that another show that I like, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, jumped the shark after Season 7, maybe Season 11, because HIT Entertainment, the company that owns Thomas, is putting a bunch of control on Thomas, such as the show becoming 3D animated/CGI, and creating so many one off characters only there just to become toys or something. I'm making a 300 subscribers video on YouTube that calls for a full reboot of Thomas the Tank Engine, going back to its roots, using models again, and making it less sexist or boyish. With My Little Pony, I keep on fearing that Season 4 might be the worst. Will the writers have their freedom to create new stories and characters, or will Hasbro just make everything generic. What are they going to do in Season 4? Have two racist ponies jibber jabbering like crazy, adding magic floating testicles, and having ridiculous sex jokes or something? The reason why I think this is because they did this in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Transformers is another property owned by Hasbro, and, wait, those movies were bad because of Michael Bay. So let me get this straight, My Little Pony's creative staff is better than Hasbro, but Hasbro is better than Michael Bay. Who's worse than Michael Bay, George W. Bush? The last thing I want is having the ponies being "Michael-Bayized". Well, anything's better than that, but still Lauren Faust stepped down starting in Lesson Zero from Season 2, and the show's writers have had good control over the show so far. Maybe I should just leave Hasbro a message on their phone line saying that I don't want our precious fanbase to fall apart just because they've got a grip on how the show is done. Maybe I should just connect with the spiritual side of myself and ask for this little minor thing to not happen so much. If that is so, then what would you feelings be about this Twilight alicorn stuff, Derpy, and the takedown of a small number of My Little Pony content? Actually, what got me into saying this was that during BronyState movie night tonight, there was a moment where the chat room started saying that Hasbro doesn't care about us, thinks we're retards, are just a Scrooge-like money corporation that doesn't want our fan dreams to come true. In actuality, Hasbro is there to make money, but they certainly aren't like the main character from Charles Dickens' timeless Christmas classic. But uh, alicorns, eh, guys. Will Twilight still be in Ponyville? I mean, I responded to them saying, "Please, stop your mean jokes," but they still tried to make it true. What are your feelings on this topic?
  21. Yeah, having asperger's, well, I have asperger's as well, that why I like both characters so much, yet Fluttershy is my favorite.
  22. I feel sick and tired of going around telling people that I like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and I'm a brony, and they don't even know the slightest on what I am talking about. What, is everyone too busy with looking up recipes, taking their kids to school, studying nursing and psychology, and being totally crazy about football (football (the American version, not soccer) is big where I come from) to realize that there's an entire fanbase almost equal to that of the Trekkies of Star Trek? Heck, I tell people about Adobe, the company behind Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, and they don't know about it. I tell people about digital cinema cameras like the Arri Alexa, Red Epic, and Sony F65, and how they're making a new future for movies, and they don't know what I'm talking about. I tell people about how there are mulitple companies that provide visual effects for motion pictures and television, such as ILM, Weta Digital, Digital Domain, Sony Pictures ImageWorks, Cinesite, Double Negative, Hydraulx, and Rhythm and Hues, and they don't even know what I'm talking about. I seem to have figured out why. I make the social mistake of only talking about my interests instead of asking about their interests and hearing what they have to say. I've only met like two or three people at the university I go to that actually know about this generation of My Little Pony. Another thing, about this Pony TV movie announced at the Toy Faire. The good thing is that they're not stealing my idea for making a pony movie for distribution in 4000+ theaters across the United States, but why are they wimping out by having it for either TV or direct to video instead of putting it out on the big screen like they should be doing? You'll get a wider audience and me better conversations if you put something out in thousands of theaters in the United States. Why can't it be like the late 90s - early 2000s. During that time period, we had The Rugrats Movie, Hey Arnold: The Movie, The Wild Thornberrys Movie, Clifford's Really Big Movie, Pokemon: The First Movie, and Thomas and the Magic Railroad, all put out into theaters instead of the cheaper media formats like just TV or direct to video. Why couldn't they put it out in theaters? I have my ideas for a made for the big screen movie, but Hasbro has their ideas for a cheapo made for TV movie. My plot, characters, and script for my idea of a movie are being kept under wraps, and so is Hasbro with theirs. Luckily, you guys answered my question about why Hasbro chooses not to kill off Princess Celestia, because they got complaints from parents when they killed off Optimus Prime from Transformers back in the 1980s, and they learned their lesson since then. You guys also answered other questions I had about the show, including: Q: How did Celestia survive a magical blast against Queen Chrysalis? A: Why wouldn't she? She's way way tougher than to just die with one little hit to the horn. Q: Would Twilight's friends, siblings, and teacher leave Twilight forever? A: No, they would never! Twilight may make a mistake, and her friends may get upset and not talk to her temporarily, but they always love her. You may be sad, but only for a temporary amount of time. Q: Are the Wonderbolts dumb or something? A: No. Spitfire didn't take much notice on monitoring the students of the Wonderbolts Academy, and during that tornado thing, she was inside in her office. Q: (past topic) Why do I think so black and not so white. A: Maybe I saw something that I should have, plus you weren't connecting with your spiritual life too much, and you were a little spazzed out or something. I should always try to be happy and never lose hope, plus even if bad things happen, I still have a second chance. This is one question that I may have answered myself, but I would like to hear from you guys about what your other answers may be. Do you feel the same way I do about the topic of this forum, kinda lonely that not many people around me know about My Little Pony?
  23. Youtube embedding probably doesn't work anymore, I really do not know what is wrong with the technical stuff on this site, oh, scratch that, it does work, but not when I edit my original post. Why? Anyway, here's the latest episode: Episode 3: How to Install a Printer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPLinXA7M0s
  24. Well, I see in color, and I can easily tell Twilight Sparkle is purple, but this black and white business means that I can't see some things for more than they are. I have a really good family who has raised me well and has taught me right from wrong. They're good parents, and my siblings are good siblings, too. A side effect of asperger's syndrome may be that I think irrationally and that I do repetitive actions. It's pretty good advice, and it might help me in the near future. Maybe I should be posting these kind of thing up on an autism forum or something. Or does this belong well here? Just asking. Oh, and I also read the summary of A Canterlot Wedding Part 1, and found out the wedding rehearsal took place the next day, and considering Twilight slept, she felt calm and collective in the morning, and I think this was one of the reasons why she didn't react so violently against her buddies, her brother, and her teacher. Maybe she really is autistic or something?
  25. Dear gussy, there's this extremely dark video on the Internet that was made by a fan called "Friendship Was Magic", where Twilight dies and while falling, she sees her life flash before her eyes. In that same video, we see that Celestia is imprisoned in a cocoon, and has morphed into some changeling version of herself. The animation in that video, for a fan made work, is very well done, but can I tell you that I'm just so really sensitive about the way people treat such things? It might be a side effect with the way I learned to read such statements in school or something of the sort, heck, I think it might come with my asperger's syndrome/autism. For example, when someone says defeated, as in "Celestia gets defeated by Queen Chrysalis", I keep on thinking of absolute and complete death, like not coming back, ever. When someone says "turn on him/her" or "abandon" as in "Shining Armor, Twilight's friends, and Celestia turn on/abandon Twilight during the wedding rehearsal", I keep on thinking of absolute and complete betrayal, as in, never trusting you ever or never being your friend ever again, like they have just become your enemy, and they'll hurt you when they see you again. When someone says "punishment", I keep on thinking of beating, slapping, hitting, abuse, anything to cause pain to another person. What happened? Did I watch the most dark and sadistic horror movie on the face of the planet? My brother, who is majoring in psychology at Kennesaw State University, probably because of his autistic brother, talked with me when I told him if he had a girlfriend, dated many months, engaged, and then get married, and then the night before the wedding I try to say that the bride is trying to con my brother, thinking that he, my friends, and family would betray me, he said that my family loves me too much, because I'm their pride and joy, completely part of the family. They would be frustrated but only for a little while, and then they will still love me. I tried to bring my friends in the conversation, but my brother only focused on my family, knowing that I didn't hang out with friends too much because I'm trying to do computer stuff, similar to a certain purple unicorn you and I all know. My mind is so extremely black and white about the meanings of certain words and phrases that mean something bad and not something good. I take a phrase like "a face alive with anger" or "the flight attendant hovered over me" literally, and I've been talked about this ever since I had social therapy sessions with a social teacher at my elementary school many years ago. It's a problem that I've always seemed to have, thinking that a word or phrase will always mean one thing and one thing only forever, when in fact it has many meanings. If someone on the Internet makes a joke saying "Evil will always win, because good is dumb," I don't laugh, I feel heartbroken, because in real life we triumphed over the Nazis and killed Osama bin Ladin, and they want to make a joke considering of a statement that isn't even true. The show would never have this happen or allow it ever, but in certain episodes, such as Keep Calm and Flutter On, I kept on expecting Discord to hit Fluttershy and send her flying into a tree, then Fluttershy having a body that was motionless, and Discord spreading chaos, chaos that means bloodshed and agonizing ponies, and freedom dying, primarily because A Canterlot Wedding Part 2 had Celestia overpowered by Queen Chrysalis, the Changelings causing destruction in Canterlot, and the Elements of Harmony compromised all because of a stupid wedding. Why do I think such things? Was it because I was brought up in a Christian family that glorified the good in life and not the bad, and seeing what the world was offering made me want to think what they thought? If you ever felt some of the things that I seem to be feeling right now, or simply see this happening among your environment, or know about it, please respond and make me feel absolutely at home, floating my boat and viewing what is meant to be a children's show that's good enough for adults with a childlike innocence, considering that I'm a newcomer here. Heck, I'm usually happy about the show, but when it throws something at me that I feel sensitive too, I don't feel happy. Oh, and if this topic is in the wrong board or forum, please move it over to the appropriate forum. I wouldn't mind the move at all as long as people can access my topic. Remember, were a helping and caring community, not a mean spirited community. The show reflects that very strongly. Capishe.
