  3. "In 900 years of time and space, I've never met anyone who wasn't important before." Doctor Who has such an amazing plethora of quotes; this entire thread could be devoted to that show.
  4. Addem chuckled, shaking his head. "We might be able to make it most of the way through. On of us is gonna have to die, though." He swallowed, then said, "Might as well, though. Weaponmaker and engineer, not a bad combo." Addem looked around at the other ponies. "You've been here longer than I. Who do I need to look out for?"
  5. Rarity basically using Spike all throughout the first season. That's really the only thing I hated about her. Luckily, season 2 gave her some character development.
  6. The train hissed into the station, Addem's eyes fixed on the shiny metal. He vaguely remembered piecing together the parts for this type of train's engine; it had been one of his most exciting projects. He chuckled bitterly. "At least I leave a legacy." The sarcasm dripped from his voice as he climbed onto the train. Once inside, he made his way to the train car, just in time to catch, Addem bristled, trotting over to the pegasus. "Hey! District one and two might be crazy, but three doesn't like the reaping any more than you." He paused, then added, "Though you're right. These damn games take too many good ponies."
  7. http://mlpforums.com/topic/56799-mlp-hunger-games/ Here's your link, Mojo. The sooner you post, the sooner we can get on the train to the place where we're all gonna die, so... no biggie... Also, guys, there appear to be some ponies who haven't posted anything in a long time. What shall we do? I personally don't want to leave them behind, but I also want to advance the story.
  8. Addem woke with a start, his face pressed against the machine he'd fallen asleep on. He groaned, fumbling for his glasses and pushing them onto his face, then hurriedly donned his usual lab coat. He galloped out of the warehouse, charging towards the field. He slowed as he reached the massed ponies, mingling in with the crowd. He breathed a sigh of relief, looking over to the females' side. His eyes locked onto his sister's, both ponies mouthing, "Good luck." The pony onstage beamed out towards the massed ponies. "Happy Hunger Games to you all!" She flipped back her translucent mane before continuing. "I'm sure you all know why we're here, so let's just get down to business, shall we?" The smile slid from her face as the crowd continued to stare blankly at her, then trotted forwards. She pressed a button on the large contraption, which churned to life, gears turning and black smoke belching out of it. A small slip of paper shot out of a slot at its base, which she held up and read aloud. "Addem Up!" Addem's jaw dropped, his glasses slipping off of his face. He made no move to pick them up, his chest rising and falling. No... Not me... He swallowed hard, breaking his trance, then bent to pick up his glasses. He placed them back onto his face, fiddling with them as he trotted out of the crowd and onto the stage.
  9. Not to mention there could be traps aimed at pegasi or unicorns. Razor wire in the air, magic-seeking knives...
  10. Are we allowed to bring our own weapons in? If so, Addem will take his glasses and a wrench. As for allies... Wheatley? Want to show them that brains beat brawn?
  11. http://rolz.org/group I come bearing links! This worked well for my online D&D group, and I see no reason why it shouldn't work here.
  12. Unless I read that wrong, that's a horrible idea. What if I'm assigned to kill you, for example, but I decide I'd rather eliminate Wheatley, seeing a fellow scientist as more of a threat?
  13. Basically, you roll a 10-sided-die to hit. Different rolls do different damages. A DMed one is one where somepony set difficulty levels for the tasks depending on who's performing them/their difficulty.
  14. Well, there's the basic roll d10-to-hit, but that's lacking in subtlety and makes the entire thing luck. I suggest using a DMed version, where different characters have different limits they must reach in order to accomplish different tasks. For example, I'd have to roll an 8 to hit somepony with a sword, whereas a stronger/trained character would have to roll lower.
  15. He nods, then says, "Speaking of which, do they have a new Savior? I mean, there still must be ponies who need to be saved. And did they train you with those weapons? Is it something you learned by yourself, or are all angels trained? I want to know what we'll be going up against before we get there."
  16. Hmm. If possible, could my OC be wiping his face clean of oil or something? He's an engineer, and I've always wanted a good picture of him at work.
  17. Addem took his, frowning at the ticket-taking pony. "Goddess. I've lived with the four of you for a while now, and I still can't get over the fact that angels even exist. Why haven't you guys come forwards yet? It seems like it would be a lot easier if everypony knew you existed."
  18. Ooh, looks like I might just manage to squeak in! If you wouldn't mind, could you draw my OC, Addem? He's in my signature. Thanks in advance.
  19. Addem glanced around, shepherding Spearmint and Peppermint as the small group travelled through the forest. He cracked his neck from side to side, the sound echoing in the otherwise silent forest. "Of course we break down here. It's like something straight out of a horror movie."
  20. Addem nodded, reaching into the trunk of the car and grabbing a large box. "All right, just gimme a second..." He trotted behind a tree, returning with the empty box. "I'm ready." He grabbed his tools, stuffing them into his saddlebag, then said, "Which way do we go?"
  21. All right! Another district 3 pony! Too bad I may have to kill you. No hard feelings, okay? *insert evil giggle*
  22. 1: Pan- means all. So it's technically correct. 2: Hormone issues? Never heard of that, please clarify. 3: You choose not to experience them, but they're still there, aren't they?
  23. 1: Panamourous bisexuality would be the technical term. Pansexuality is differentiated as such because it shows an appreciation for different personal gender identities. 2: I did only a bit of research on hypersexuality, but I can't find any comparisons between homosexuality and hypersexuality. As for the explosion of cases, that can be attributed to the more tolerant society that has emerged. I also don't see how the incidence rate is affected by whether or not it's trait-bound. After all, the trait-bound occurrence of green eyes is shown in approximately 1% of humans, whereas homosexual tendencies are about 7-8%. 3: The definition of asexuality, as defined by the asexuality visibility and education network, is someone who does not experience sexual attraction, not someone who chooses to ignore their sexual attractions.
  24. Frankly, I could say I'm bisexual and everyone would understand, but I identify as pansexual because I don't believe that gender is completely binary. Assigned sex may be, but gender identity isn't. Homosexuality was once listed as a mental disorder as well. And if you read the most common treatments for gender dysphoria, they're mainly focused on changing physical rather than psychological gender. And I think we're arguing over minuscule details here, but I don't think you (in that situation) would be asexual. Rather, you'd be a lesbian who chooses to be nonsexual. The base attraction is there, but you don't acknowledge it.
  25. True, biology does create gender, also known as "assigned sex". However, what I'm opposed to is the suggestion that one's attraction can only be towards one or the other. As for your "no fourth road", what about asexuality? And assigned sex doesn't always match a person's gender identity. As for your decision, I misunderstood and thought you meant that one decided whether or not to like a certain gender.
