I like using 4chan and its not for everyone(using it for 3 years now). I hate /mlp/ personally and yes it it can get heated with drama. when I do use /mlp/ I hide most of the threads on the front page because its all shit. /mlp/ and /b/ share similarites.

The first time I went onto 4chan, the first thing I saw was a picture if a man's penis. That was also the last time I went to 4chan.

 

I think all the best stuff 4chan has to offer eventually trickles out of it, I've never felt like I was missing out.

I also took a look at Reddit, and it seemed much better set up and not as crazy. Although I would rather use neither, I would probably go with Reddit from what's I've seen.

i actually browse /mlp/ every day. yup. i can say quite a few things about it. you're gonna see a lot of the same general threads, and a few of them are undesirable to say the least. just... fetishes. in terms of actual porn, you don't see much or if you see any, it'll be gone within the hour most likely. recently, the users have been screwing with the mods a lot though so right now, it's not consistent. a good thing about it is the writers. some people on /mlp/ are really quite good. yesterday, i read a greentext story of an anon who went through the first two episodes of mlp and tried to make things happen as accurately as possible to the show, as just his presence was messing things up. overall, i would say give it a try. there's a lot of good to see there if you're willing to go past the not so good stuff.

Personally I like 4chan. /mlp/ can be one of the better places to discuss the show, but you have to wade through a lot of shit to get to the good. They also tend to freak out over nothing, which can be either hilarious or depressing. Also, porn has been banned on the blue boards, so it doesn't last long if it gets posted on /mlp/. If you think you have thick enough skin, go for it.
