DESCRIPTION OF WORLD

 

From all over different universes, characters have resided in dimensions from books, movies, comics, television shows, video games and more. However, there is one being that exists within the crossroads of every one of these universes, who has named himself "The Overlord". He is a faceless being of nearly infinite power, living in a realm named "The Multiverse". This mysterious Overlord enjoys bringing various characters from secluded universes and watching how they would react with each other, as if they were toys. He has been monitoring the beings that reside within the other universes, deciding on which characters were worthy enough to be brought into his realm

 

The Multiverse itself is made up of all sorts of buildings from all sorts of time periods. From the old west, to medieval Japan, to the future. There are townhouses, castles, caves, skyscrapers, tree-houses, and so much more. They tend to group together by type with appropriate terrain nearby but they also shift and move around the city as a whole. Entire structures appear and disappear, either by itself or by the Overlord's will. The Multiverse is surrounded by darkness on all sides. It is alone in an otherwise empty existence. In the center of the city is a gigantic hourglass. Every 24 hours, the sand from the top of the glass fills the bottom. When that happens, the entire hourglass rises into the air, flips over, and slams in the ground, the earthquake-esque vibrations shooting through the entire Multiverse. This marks the passing of each day, when a new "theme" occurs. These "themes" can have various effects, sometimes positive, often times negative

 

Whenever a new character arrives from their home universe, they wake up in the city. It's alright to bring a base/dwelling place, a companion or whatever else the character normally has with then within reason. If it's a base/dwelling place it becomes incorporated into the Multiverse and becomes part of it. If they have a communication device, they will find that it now has a strange button on it. If they do not, they will receive one related to their theme and home universe. The characters will also tend to function on the laws of their home universe (So anime physics for anime characters, video game physics for video game characters, etc.)

RULES

 

Please do not join if you're not familiar with and/or good at serious, structured RPing

 

No script format. Narrative style only

 

A minimum of at least 2 sentences in every post is suggested. I'm not going to enforce this very much

 

You're not allowed to choose stupidly powerful characters. You know who I'm talking about, characters like Superman, Goku, Haruhi Suzumiya, Alucard, Galactus, Bruce Willis, etc. Keep it at least somewhat fair

 

You're not allowed to choose any people that actually exist in real life, or fan characters from an existing fiction. Keep it to pre created, non existing characters

 

Keep in mind that there will be fighting in the RP, so I would suggest playing a character that's good at fighting, or at least can protect themselves some other way

 

This is meant to be a serious, structured RP. Please don't join if you're used to the casual, no rules, silly, script style RPs. This is NOT one of those. Please don't just play random, silly characters that exist solely for the purpose of a joke or something, and in the same sense, don't play portray your characters in a completely silly way. They can be comedic, but that can't be the only thing about them. They have to be characters that can be taken seriously to some degree

 

This isn't a requirement, but I would really prefer this: Try to avoid choosing characters from something obscure and unknown. Since a lot of the stuff that happens in the RP is based around me interacting with your characters, I'd rather not have too many characters I know nothing about. Not saying you have to, just a suggestion. A strong suggestion. Here's a list of shows, movies and games that I know enough about:

To submit your character, just post who your character is and an article on a wiki about them (either from Wikipedia or the series' own wiki, doesn't really matter). The wiki has to describe their personality and their abilities

Well, if you want to then that's fine, but there's gonna be a big focus on fighting and combat and stuff, so you might want to choose a character that can protect themselves. Or figure out how to make her lack of combat skills work for her in some way
