Pastel 7,630 June 11, 2014 Share June 11, 2014 (edited) Seeing the impact it had on the Internet, no or almost not. And it depends whether they make a G5 or not. Edited June 11, 2014 by Blobulle

Sugar Pea 2,682 June 11, 2014 Share June 11, 2014 It's only natural, but there will always be newcomers and loyal members of the MLP community. :3 They won't go extinct, but possibly decrease. I know i'd probably get bored and move on to jump up and down about something else. xD My fuse is almost about done. ℓ٥ﻻ ﻉ√٥υ

Raiko 43 June 11, 2014 Share June 11, 2014 Yes, they will. Hell they're dying off already as we speak, and have been dying off anyways. It's just a natural thing that happens.
KokuraiNoSenshi 3,463 June 11, 2014 Share June 11, 2014 My money is on the weaker parts of the fandom die off while the diehards stick around. Happens with every other fandom. The people who love the show without fault stay to see it till the end of time, & the people who just enjoyed it while it lasted will move on to other things. Nothing wrong with either group, it is just how people are. I honestly can't say which camp I will be in, but when it happens it will happen. There will always be the true-blue fans who will stay around for the community & such, while the rest move on to do something else with their life. So is the way of the world of fandoms Thank you Pinkamena-Pills for resizing the original, and putting that little message at the end
DryGuy84 (Inactive) 927 June 12, 2014 Share June 12, 2014 You'll either die a fandom like the Mass Effect fandom, or you live long enough to see yourself become like the Sonic fandom. I'm still part of the Sonic fandom. -_- "Oh look, there's our friend Rarity GOING DOWN IN FLAMES!!! ISN"T FRIENDSHIP MAGIC!!!?" -Tabitha St. Germain as Rarity "No matter how many times others tell you you're great, all the praise in the world means nothing if you don't feel it inside.......Sometimes to feel good about yourself, you gotta let go of the past. That way, when the time comes to let your greatness fly, you'll be able to light up the whole sky." -Cathy Weseluck as Spike
Thespian 78 June 12, 2014 Share June 12, 2014 Once the show ends id say half of the fans will die. The other half will probably not have nearly as much interest since there wont be anything "new" except for the occasional fan fiction, song, and what not till the next generation. I honestly think I might be apart of that part that will die. As much as I like MLP and the things we create, I still have a hard time "interacting" with the community. I don't want to cause any trouble, but my interests and that of most of the community just don't seem to combine all that well. Without having the actual show there, I don't know how long I would stay.I always imagine the worst so whatever I say will probably be the opposite of what actually happens. Anadu Kune 668 June 13, 2014 Share June 13, 2014 I doubt the fandom would die, decrease yes but not die. Darkwing duck, Gargoyles, and power puff girls still have a fan base and that was before the internet became as integrated as it is now. That said I don't think the show is going anywhere for a while. Its pretty much the only thing keeping hub alive and its the only franchise showing continued growth for hasbro.Even when it does end we will almost certainly get a new gen in equestria. Hasbro isn't going to leave this newly successful franchise to rot. MLP is a very interesting thing going from long dorment and usually derided to crazy success in just a few years. Dr. Frasier Crane 319 June 13, 2014 Share June 13, 2014 I think the fandom's going to stay strong for many years to come, probably even for a few more years after the show does end since it's that strong and large. No doubts though that people will become bored with it and leave, or begin to lose interest to the point where they're no longer willing to stay on a forum dedicated to the show, but yeah, I'm sure there will still be a fanbase. Just look how much of an impact this fandom has made in pop culture and on the Internet. Even when it does eventually die away it will never be forgotten. +~ Liebe ist für alle da ~+ My Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/shikarilukari
Artist-Sky 23 June 13, 2014 Share June 13, 2014 I hope MLP goes on for a LONG, LONG, LONG time. Like Sesame Street, I guess. I know this is wishful thinking, but if it ended up like this that would be AWESOME!!!! If Hasbro does end it, I think the brony fandom WILL find someway to bring it back. I hope this show goes on until there's no more possible ideas left for episodes.
~DEATHMONGER~ 36 June 13, 2014 Share June 13, 2014 I do hope we end up like the Star Trek fandom, but not in the sense that 50 years later, they'll make a reboot without the proper main 6. Although, that would be pretty hilarious. The adventures of the mane 10, featuring Applejack http://i46.tinypic.com/fp5czk.png
Adorkable 2,737 June 14, 2014 Share June 14, 2014 Star Wars is still a thing. As long as there's something to fuel a fandom, it will always exist. Whether it's hope or an upcoming something, the fire will still burn. Now, since we Bronies are such a unique group, I think the "end" will be different for us. There hasn't been another fandom like us, so I don't think anything about us can be compared to others. When the show ends, it ends. But its effects will last forever. Many Bronies have had their hearts touched by the show and its loving characters. So, I think even if the show ends, its effects will live on, forever. ^^
