books Favorite poem?

I'm not a huge poetry guy but I recently read "The Raven" again and got so much more out of it than the last time I remember hearing it.  It's probably my favorite poem now because of how well it speaks about despair and sadness and hope to some extent.  And it's so beautifully written.  I also love how it shows how a small thing can set someone off under the wrong circumstances.  This character arguing back and forth arguing with himself and battling his own despair until he finally gives in to it.  It's honestly got to be one of the saddest things I've ever read.  Well I don't know what else to say about it.

 

Anyone else know any other good poems?

My favorite would have to be "Hope is a Thing With Feathers" by Emily Dickens.

I'm not a big fan of poetry, but if i had to choose one, i'd pick "Invictus". I strongly identify with and respect the message in it (about not surrendering).

Those are some great poems but they're all so short.  I think I've read Emily Dickens and the other Poe one before also.

 

My second favorite poem is probably "Ulysses", I especially love the ending of it even though I only heard about it when I went to see Skyfall
