TenorSounds 832 July 17, 2014 Share July 17, 2014 Coffee makes you short I like arounld Palmer tea and coke a cola. Uh...that whole "coffee makes you short" thing is a myth. It came from studies showing calcium loss in urine after drinking coffee, but that only happened if the person drank 4 or more cups a day, and that doesn't even correlate to actually getting shorter or anything bad, really. Like anything you put in your body, moderation is important. 1 Check out my YouTube Let's Play Channel! Current Game: Alan Wake [Tenor's Roleplay Profile] - Let me know if you want to RP! Sorry but it is not a myth but if you think that way then so be it Well okay, how is it not a myth? I love coffee and I'm 6'1", and every bit of research I've done directly contradicts your assertion. Perhaps you mean "short" in some other context other than actual height? Like, "short tempered"? If so then I agree somewhat, it can cause anxiety if you over-do it. Edited July 17, 2014 by TenorSounds Check out my YouTube Let's Play Channel! Jeric 46,850 July 17, 2014 Share July 17, 2014 (edited) Uh...that whole "coffee makes you short" thing is a myth. Like anything you put in your body, moderation is important. Correct. One of caffeine's diuretic properties does make you excrete more calcium than usual, which would impact bone strength. It also effects your pituitary gland, but triggers the signal to the adrenal to produce adrenaline. It does not (contrary to the myth) effect somatropin levels to any point that would impact whether or not the body will be aided in cellular growth. In fact if you drink coffee with milk in the US, you are likely getting TOO MUCH somatropin through bovine GH. And screw moderation. Coffee in the morning is a religion to me. Frith is Magick 1,471 July 17, 2014 Share July 17, 2014 I'll let sweet Fluttershy answer this for me: I bucking love coffee, been drinking it for 5 or 6 years. I usually drink it black, though I will get a couple shots of espresso if I need the kick. I also enjoy tea, though I don't drink it as often, usually if I really need to relax. I'm addicted to coffee, which is why I post a coffee related image every morning in the Rarity FC I might have to start frequenting the Rarity FC just for that. 1 Keep flyin'

truth is life 76 July 18, 2014 Share July 18, 2014 I prefer a nice, hot cup of green tea (well, not too hot, otherwise I burn my tongue) with nothing added, right at the start of the day. No milk, no sugar, just tea. Not quite sure why this is in Sugarcube Corner...

User07832407840 177 July 18, 2014 Share July 18, 2014 I don't regularly drink either. So if I had to choose, I'd say tea, since tea actually tastes good (no offense, coffee-drinkers ). I've had tea a few times, and there's definitely a lot of good tea out there, plus there's such a huge variety of kinds of tea. Yeah, there's variety with coffee too, but I don't know if it can compare with the kind of variety that tea offers.
Dddrgn 450 July 18, 2014 Share July 18, 2014 Tea for sure. Coffee is gross. "You must never give in to despair. Allow yourself to slip down that road, and you surrender to your lowest instincts.
