Hahaha... Is that it? I'm from the northern half of the country. I've survived -40°F wind chill. xD

I'd actually enjoy visiting your planet, but I need to learn your etiquette first... Don't wanna offend anyone. :)

Not really.  :ooh: I actually do like it cold, but below freezing is a bit much for anypony. And -40 sounds pretty intense... :o

Sure I'll write down everything you need to know!

63!

Quite... 0°K right? This is a snore-fest. :P

Wow, that is impressive! But I just remembered that I have a long history of killing/destroying my friends, and if I don't at least try to kill you guys you'll feel left out. So I need to think of another death trap...  :fluttershy:

You've just admitted contemplating my death. Please elaborate on that. :unamused:

*unfreezes self with a comically-large blowtorch*

Well, I learned how to handle a gun, but I've never even thought about murdering someone...

Except for maybe...

Tom Brady?

He's handsome...

But I was asking about medicaid expansion...

Sorry, just can't get enough of this song.

It's a cool song, huh?

You did listen to it, right?

If you didn't, you should.

It's a cool song.

What are you doing?

Do you expect to find something interesting at the end of these?

Well there IS no end, so...

Suck it! :P

Nah, just playin'.

Anywho...

You're probably gonna give up before you find it.

Cuz there's hundreds of these.

So you can just stop right now.

Your screen will mesmerise you...

Yeah, I don't know how to spell mezmerize either...

Who cares though, right?

Sheesh, persistent... Awesome! I look forward to it!

Warning dangerously out of context wall of text ahead

Alternate Earth:

History:

After the Arequarians abandoned the humans on Alternate Earth, Stormgiggle quickly moved in, giving them advanced magical and technological knowledge and quickly earning their trust. (More detailed history available on request.)

Technology:

  • Greater Soul Network: Whenever anybody dies on Earth, their soul is automatically transferred to one of the many Soul Generators located across the planet. These Generators extract the magic from the souls, creating a vast pool of pure magical energy. Black Crystal pipes connect all the Soul Generators together, and carry the magical energy all across the planet where it is used to meet all of Earth's energy demands.
  • Personal Magic Device: Each and every human on Earth is issued one of these. They store a significant amount of magical energy for use in spell casting, and when they run out they may easily be recharged via the Greater Soul Network. When one of these is equipped with a Magical Processor, anyone using this device can cast any spell that is recorded in the equipped Magical Processor regardless of their magical experience or aptitude as long as the Personal Magic Device has enough magical energy to cast the spell.
  • Safety Steel: Metal that has been heavily altered at the molecular level to make it almost invincible. It is completely inert, and isn't affected by kinetic, thermal, or electrical energy. However, it is vulnerable to magic and other supernatural means of destruction.
  • Black Crystal: Regular quartz enchanted with dark magic. It serves as an excellent conductor of magic. While it is fairly easy to destroy, it quickly regenerates any damage done to it as long as it is connected to the Greater Soul Network.
  • Magical Processor: It works much in the same way as a computer does, but only a magic user can interact with it. It keys itself to the user's soul and only the user may operate the Magical Processor. A Magical Processor is utterly incapable of networking with any other device or even another Magical Processor.
  • Great Divination Device: This massive magical device resides in the Shimmering Tower. It has the ability to scry the location of anything or anyone in the multiverse, and can bypass any attempts to shield the location from discovery. However, it takes thousands of years to locate anything.
  • Kinetic Weaponry: When people on Earth desire weapons besides their own magic, they generally use Kinetic weapons. A Kinetic weapon fires a beam of kinetic energy at the target.  Weaker versions impart about as much kinetic energy as a gunshot onto the target, but stronger versions can impart much more energy. The strongest handheld versions can level an entire cites with a single shot (These are very rare), some space based versions can destroy an entire star in a single shot. Kinetic weapons make no sound from firing besides a soft hum not unlike the hum one hears from florescent lights. Kinetic weapons are powered by a Kinetic battery, once the battery runs dry it can be recharged by winding it with a key much like a clock. Most batteries take about a minute of winding to recharge, but stronger batteries for more powerful Kinetic weapons can take hours or even days to wind. (The batteries for the city destroying Kinetic Weapons can take years to wind)

Architecture:

  • The Shimmering Tower: The Shimmering Tower is not a place, physically it doesn't even exist. It is an idea, a state of being. In the very center of Stronghold One is a massive pillar of light which can be used as an entryway to the Shimmering Tower. To gain entrance one must meditate within the pillar of light for ten years to attain the state of mind required to enter the tower. Once this ten year meditation session is done, one may freely enter and exit the Shimmering Tower. There is NO other way to enter the Shimmering Tower then by the ten year meditation. Only a sentient being may enter the Shimmering Tower. The Shimmering Tower contains the Great Divination Device, and all of Stormgiggle's most valuable assets are stored here. From here Earth's Greater Soul Network is controlled, and can be tapped into to cast extremely powerful magic.
  • Utopia City: The capitol city of Alternate Earth. A few buildings here are built of glass and concrete, but most are built of Safety Steel. It is a large sprawling city comprised almost entirely of vast skyscrapers. Large platforms connect the skyscrapers together, and Black crystal pipes snake around the city, connected to the city's very own Soul Generator. Most of Earth's population resides in this city. The city can generate an extremely powerful magical barrier around itself using it's Soul Generator.
  • Mrak's Temple: A large fortress located in Utopia city, made out of Safety Steel. The bottom half of the Temple is open to the public and features a museum and school of magic. The top half is heavily guarded and serves as a home for Stormgiggle.
  • Stronghold One: This is the main military stronghold of Earth. It is located just north of Utopia city. Earth's soldiers are trained here, and most magical constructs are built here.
  • The Catacombs: There is a massive series of bunkers that extend all the way to Earth's core, these are collectively known as the Catacombs. They are used for general storage, and are also used to reanimate and house undead.
  • General Earth Construction: Most of Earth is either farmland or untamed wilderness. There are no large cities barring Utopia city and a few large sea ports. Even so, the Black Crystal pipes extend into all settled land, and almost all of Earth is heavily fortified due to the constant warfare.

Culture and politics:

  • Stormgiggle does not directly rule Alternate Earth, indeed she rarely influences politics at all. A council of 11 democratically elected ministers make all the important decisions. These ministers stay in power for 20 years. However, very few ministers make it 20 years as most are assassinated in various power struggles. Technically anyone may run for office, but usually only powerful, influential people confident in their ability to survive their term in office run. Anyone who actually survives 20 years in office is almost guaranteed to be reelected. Officially, Stormgiggle has no say in the council's rulings. However, any minister foolish enough to ignore any 'advice' or 'suggestions' from Stormgiggle is very likely to mysteriously disappear . Even so, the council's power is very real, and for the most part they rule independently of Stormgiggle's influence.
  • There is very little crime in Alternate Earth, because very few things are considered a crime. Stealing is perfectly legal, as is assault. Murder is mostly legal, as long as you fill out the proper paperwork first and have it approved. Still, there are limits. Slavery is completely illegal, and slavers are met with a slow, painful death. Harming a child or a traveler from another planet is punishable by death. Trespassing on military property is punished by interrogation, then a mandatory draft into the military.
  • Rebelling against the government is perfectly legal, as long as you register as a rebel with the government. There are many advantages to registering as a rebel: The government is forbidden from harming the rebel's friends and family, rebels are free from government persecution in special safe zones, and rebels are assured a quick, clean death should they be caught. No real effort is made by the government to track down registered rebels, however any rebel caught in the midst of anti-government activity will be met with deadly force. Unregistered rebels are ruthlessly hunted down by the government, then slowly tortured to death.
  • For the most part Earth espouses capitalism, although the government will occasionally step in to break up monopolies. Companies have almost no political influence whatsoever, and usually resort to economic manipulation to get their way.
  • The people of Earth regard Stormgiggle (Who they call Mrak) as a god, but they do not worship or prey to her. They mostly regard her as an important symbol of Earth, but having no real power.

Ok, trust me... You don't want to do that.

I was mostly joking, Just ask Punicpunch how many times I've killed him.

I'm gonna use a famous quote here. "This isn't even my final form." I have levels, and I like staying in my body. I've actually died once before. I was squashed under a metal cage that Vulcan set up. Then I tortured him while I was a spirit until he revived me.

That's pretty crazy. You should have gotten me, I would have happily brought you back to life!

Each level gets darker and darker than the last. Until finally, I lose control and completely rampage anything full force. I do have limits though.

Ooh, sounds like fun! :fluttershy:  You know, I have different forms too!  :D

Why would I want to fight you though, I mean sparring is good, but why do you even want to kill me? I've proved that I can be a good ally.

You're a great friend and ally! I'd never actually hurt you. :kindness:

Then again, you've just admitted contemplating my death.

You've never contemplated my death?  That's actually pretty depressing...  -_-

Ok, as long as you're joking. Don't ever make me go into a role-play mode ever again. I imagine it's annoying for the counters.

Nah, just playing hide and seek was actually really fun. ^w^

I've seen a few!

*hug* :3

Well, of course not. You're one of my best friends here, not to mention one of the strongest overall here. I strongly avoid deadly conflict with friends. :rarity:

Oh, ok...

I know! I don't think you've seen all of them though.  :smug:

In my mind, you should always have a plan to kill/disable everypony you meet, even if your completely trust them. The only reason you wouldn't think up a way to destroy somepony is if you didn't care about them at all...  :(

Such a shame, because I trust you. Anyway. I'm gonna go do that now. See ya later. :)

I have been doing well! I apologize for giving songs to you while I speed-post.

How has your relationship with Xeltor been?

33

What?! You and Xeltor are in a relationship, Stormgiggle? How come I've never heard of this?!

I'm glad you're doing well. And I don't mind! I like your songs.

Bwah!? Relationship? He has a significant other, I'll have you know! We're just friends, I swear!

Speaking of relationships, how's your relationship with @Meson Bolt going? I see how you make time to cuddle with him even when you're speed counting, it's very romantic.

34!

What?! You and Meson Bolt are in a relationship, Cinnamon? How come I've never heard of this?!

Only friendly snuggling? Don't you guys hold some sort of forum record on how long you've snuggled together?

36!

If I remember correctly, they snuggled for about 48 hours before. I'm positive they've at least snuggled for 24 hours at a time.

So we're into friendly competitive snuggling, alright? It's not like we're an item just because we both really like hugs, and that's about as deep as it goes.

38

Friendly competitive snuggling? How does that actually work? How do you snuggle better than someone else?

What!? That's not what happened at all! Just because I cast one simple love charm doesn't mean we're in any sort of relationship other then friendship.

Sure, I'll gladly accept one of your hugs!

39!

Stormgiggle, what did I say about casting love charms all the time? :okiedokielokie:

Never knew you fancied being a matchmaker, Stormgiggle...

40!

I don't think Stormgiggle's much of a matchmaker. He'd just force any two ponies together if he think it's going to be chaotic and fun to watch.

I'm hardly a matchmaker. You two are doing most of the match making on your own.

But I tease. Still, I had no idea snugging was a competitive sport! Do you go to snuggling competitions and win snuggling trophies?

44!

There's snuggling trophies?

Stormgiggle, we need to practise snuggling!

Yeah bro! Snuggling is a very grueling sport. You have to train your body to not smell awful, and that takes a ton of time. XD

I'm losing track of the count here, so I'll just edit afterwards...

I mean, uhh...

45!

Ah, right. I'm starting to understand the complexity of the snuggling sport!

Also, never, ever, EVER lose track of the count again, or I'll reset the count!  :=:

Well, actually, I'd probably just reset the count anyway, so...

... Snugging isn't really a sport, is it?

Losing track!? But this is a counting game! Keeping track of the count is the whole idea!

46!

Yeah, that's right, Stormgiggle, don't let him lose track of the count!

Also, what's this about snuggling not being a sport? That's crazy talk!

Oh! I have no specific target in mind for this one. I may cast it on a massive scale so everypony falls in love with me, or I useit to make loyal pawns.

53!

Well, I say you probably shouldn't just cast your love charm on just anypony, but a part of me actually wants to see how a massive scale love charm would work out.

Nah, I bet he's cool!

See? He's totally chill!

57!

*shivering in corner*

57!

I approve of this pun. So punny! ^_^

63!

Wow, that is impressive! But I just remembered that I have a long history of killing/destroying my friends, and if I don't at least try to kill you guys you'll feel left out. So I need to think of another death trap...

Oh, it's Cinnamon's turn to have you attempt to kill her? I can't wait to see this! :o

You've just admitted contemplating my death. Please elaborate on that.

64

Hey, that would ruin the surprise! He can't explain how he plans to kill you! You just have to wait and see!

*unfreezes self with a comically-large blowtorch*

Also, WHAT'S THAT? CINNI HAS A SUPER SENSITIVE SPOT ON THE TOP OF HER WING BASE? Thanks, I'll be sure to use this information responsibly... :sneer:

66!

This post makes no sense. You're quoting Cinnamon multiple times to reply to her (unfortunately, the quotes don't appear in the middle of another quote). But every single quote comes from a single post Cinnamon made a few minutes ago, and in that post Cinnamon doesn't say any of the lines that appears in the quotes Stormgiggle is replying to (although one line is extremely similar). What's going on?! Is Cinnamon sending secret messages to Stormgiggle? Is Stormgiggle making up quotes? I must know!

In my mind, you should always have a plan to kill/disable everypony you meet, even if your completely trust them. The only reason you wouldn't think up a way to destroy somepony is if you didn't care about them at all...

70!

Of course! As long as you're responsible, use common sense and have a bunch of Phoenix Downs handy, death can be very fun! :)
