So last summer my sister watched this barbie series on youtube and for a girl who doesn't like barbie that strike an odd to me. She said it was good and funny and very different from the other barbie shows she watched. So yeah I wanna know what's funny and good about barbie and try on watching it, she's right Surprisingly it's good and funny. It is very different from other barbie shows.

Now, I wanna hear your thoughts on this series. I know what you were thinking ''barbie? ughh.. that's a girls show,'' remember we also judge MLP too  Of course for a barbie show it still retains that girls stuff there,so expect a lot of pink IMO the characters aren't that bland either, well a little.

It's..erm...well....pink ?

Very pink, I'd say. Also, the behaviors portrayed in the show are quite stereotypical if you see what I mean.

 

Now, it is funny but only for the intended target audience. Not so sure about older people though.

I watched a few minutes.  Eh, seems like it's probably better quality than other Barbie incarnations, but I still wouldn't bother with it, personally.  No interest.  If I want to see some funny Barbie & Ken sh*t, I'll just watch Toy Story 3, y'know what I'm sayin?

 

Related note: I actually bought Barbie Horse Adventures: Riding Camp for PS2 awhile back.  Now, bear in mind, my usual gaming diet consists of God of War, Halo, GTA, Skyrim, etc.  But I love horses irl, and those Barbie horse games just always looked kind of appealing, in a similar way as MLP I guess.  I just always wanted to try one, so I did.  It was....okay.  Definitely not the worst game I've ever played, but not worth it.  Limited gameplay, very, overly, stereotypically girly with not much in the way of redeeming qualities for adults.  If you want to play a game where you can have a virtual relationship with a horsey pal, just play Skyrim, or better yet, any Zelda with Epona.  Sorry for gettin a little off topic there.

I like it. I actually hate Barbie. A lot. Just because I didn't have a Barbie didn't mean I wasn't as special as the other girls... *inner child crying*

Also the color pink.

Anyway, I do actually think it's pretty funny. Especially since I was really bored and nothing was left on Netflix....

It passes the time, and gets few laughs.

Oooh, I found this on Youtube one day with my older sis and it is MUCH better than either of us expected. Sort of like the reaction a lot of bronies have had when they first found out about MLP:FIM. 

 

It's entirely a comedic show made up of 5ish minute shorts, but they're funny. The comedy is good and it's wonderful at poking fun at itself. Surreal, yes, more surreal than a Salvador Dali painting. But charming.

Stellafera got me watching it a few months ago, and like she and Nihi are saying, it's a lot better than it looks. Just gotta be able to sit back, roll with the crazy stuff that happens and let yourself enjoy the ride.

The way I see it, the characters' lives are ridiculously focused on fashion because it's a pastiche of the Barbie universe. Barbie's closet is the size of the Library of Congress's archives, there's an episode where a glitter shortage breaks down civilization as we know it, and hamburgers are cooked by repeatedly opening and closing a grill.

It was alright, the "story line" was so cliche I feel like I just stepped out of a delornian after going to the 1985 grease themed senior prom.

 

However I did really enjoy the animation, as they 100% got that uncanny valley feeling of the dolls down, along with the plastic food items and drinks. It certainly felt like it was a world of living toys, and had the jerky inhuman movements to go with it. I'd rate it a 6/10. The reason I liked FiM was for its background world, and subtle breaking of cliches. this was certainly funny, and I'd like to see what they can do with a 22 minute run time, but as it stands it is just a quirky little animation series.

I love it! The theme song is so catchy! The show is funny and them being dolls makes it even more interesting!
