AveryGamerDude 4,640 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 I don't get why people in America think that it's the greatest country on Earth, because it isn't. America is one the most selfish, inconsiderate, lazy, greedy, and hypocritical nations on Earth. Here's an example: Not to mention, the citizens of the United States think that the death penalty should be more enforced, even for minors. Yet it thinks that abortions should be abolished. If that's not America being a scumbag, I don't know what is. The citizens of America also say that being Gay is the devil's work, and that they should be frowned upon. Even though being homosexual is completely okay, even though I'm not homosexual myself. America also loves rich people, and rich people get government benefits. Unlike us lower-class people. They also think that the penny is fine to have, even though it costs more than a penny to make a penny. So the U.S.A is wasting a bunch of money each year making pennies. I really can't wait to move to Canada. Because in Canada, there is no death penalty and no pennies. What do you guys think? 15 I HAVE MORPHED 5 EXODIA, SETO KAIBA!! yeet 2,027 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 Pennies! We have tons of pennies. And two pence, which is just two pennies in one coin. Then five pence, ten, twenty, fifty. There are one pound coins, that's one hundred pennies, two pound is two pound. Then notes. Five pound note, ten, twenty, fifty. There is something about a five pound coin, a new two pound coin shape, which will ruin vending machines.

Lateon 589 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 (edited) There are many different kinds of people here in the good old US of A. Sometimes I think that the Southeast portion of the US could be its own country. Regardless of where people live, they are entitled to their own beliefs, just as we are entitled to ours. They may not make sense to us, but it's just as likely that our beliefs don't make sense to other people, too. The pennies thing is an illogical relic from times past, just like the imperial measurement system currently in place. Death penalty and abortions are two drastically different reasons for killing. You're comparing apples to oranges. I try not to get myself involved in politics, but there's one saying I've held fast to for quite some time: "I love my country. I hate my government." EpitomeOfTruth 243 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 At least we have the right to disagree, whereas in another country we could be put to death for saying something as simple as "I don't like it."

M'aiq the Liar 5,804 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 To be honest, if you look back in history every nation on the face of the earth is guilty of the same exact level of hypocrisy. So while you may not like this country, once you strip away the shiny progressive veneer, every other country has in its past, or is currently, acting the exact same. 4 http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/vera-yeoman-r5921Muh pleb tier OC .http://mlpforums.com/blog/1663/entry-12477-pony-waifu-wedding-13-maiq-x-fleetfoot/ MLP forum's #1 Fleetfoot fan also married to fleetfoot <

~DEATHMONGER~ 36 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 I completely agree with you, and over here, everyone does. But my country is pretty f***ed up as well. It's corrupt. I'm sure you're aware of the recession in Ireland. The sheer amount of homeless is disturbing. My dad's wages got cut by 2/6ths, not that it was that good in the first place.

ToxicViolets 14 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 I think what you say is semi-true. It sounds a bit like you're speak about ALL Americans but it's simply false. I live in Georgia and many people here, like my self, don't believe being gay is the devil's work and they'll go to hell and so forth. I'm not trying to start a big Republican vs Democrat debate but what Romney wanted to do was raise taxes for the poor and lower them for the rich. I live in the south and the south has a bad name. The thing is I live in the northern part of Georgia where people are much less anti-abortion and anti-LGBT. I live in American and am a strong Democrat who believes in rights such as abortion, gay marriage, etc. So what I'm saying is that not all of America is bad. It's just those few bad eggs that America has that gives the whole country a bad name. I'm not trying to say you're wrong. I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'm simply stating mine.

Still, I'm not so sure if I want to keep living here for the rest of my life. I might move out if I get a good opportunity to do so... ֍֎֍֎
Digit 321 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 Im not going to debate but that meme is actually pretty offensive. The diffrence of us nukeing japan was we warned them. We gave them more than enough oppertunity to surrender and russia did as well. They refused and yes while we did use the bomb not 100% understanding the long term problems it would cause we still warned the emperor we had a weapon that could level a city. Truman after hiroshima actually pleaded with the emperor to surrender and endbthe blood shed or we would be forced to use another. Same story. 9/11 was an unwarrented act of hostility durung a non war time. It had no political or economic backing to it. It was a shear act of terrorisim. And we have been helping to fix both nagasaki and hiroshima. Sorry that meme just struck a nerve. As for your view on americans your basing that off a very finite group. When in reality americans are very friendly and open. Every country that allows freedom of speech and free will are going to have peoeple with diffrent sets of opinions. America isnt perfect but we could be alot worse

The thing you are mentioning aren't universally held beliefs. Plenty of people in America feel the opposite of those things. Maybe even the majority of them, on some of those. Homosexual equality has been gaining tons of momentum. When I think about how I feel about America, I like to modify a Winston Churchhill quote. America is the worst country except for all the other ones. Its not perfect and there is plenty wrong with this country, but its the one I got. There are way worse places to live.

Nerdy Luigi 2,065 July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 I agree. Mostly. Judging all of us is extreme, but our government officials? What you say seems to be right on. The US has an extremely corrupt government, the CIA literally experimented on people with, what is today, an illegal substance. This was MK Ultra. It damaged many people. Also, we stick our dirty noses into another country's business. The Middle East seems to provide a great example of this. Also, we are extremely nationalistic. We have gotten scared of communists before the Soviet Union even became a world power, (Red Scare, late 1910's- Still today kind of). Lastly, we have had intensely idiotic economic troubles. Let's see: Our extreme capitalism almost collapsed our Empire of sorts in the 1930's, our current situation in the Middle East is raising gas prices (respectfully, it's George Wanker Bitch's fault). I know every country has their problems, but the US is literally collapsing on itself. It's as problematic as the Soviet Union. Seriously.
