How will the Library episode play out in season 5?

Here is my view on it:

 

The first half would deal with Twilight and her friends dealing with the loss and remembering all the times they had together.

The second half would be about Twilight's friends, fellow princesses and the Ponyville residents giving her new replicas of the items that she had lost in the explosion.  Big MacIntosh even gives Smarty Pants back to Twilight.
 

The moral would be that just because you lose something physical, its really the memories of that something that will stay with you forever.

Is there even going to be an episode about the Library ?

That sounds a bit over-dramatic, don't you think ? What I mean is that she traded her Old Library with a Castle. I would be really happy to trade my house with a Castle. And what do you mean by "The times they had together" ? Nothing has changed between Twilight and her friends.

Maybe, I assume it would be easy to replace the books she had. None of them were really unique, right ? By the way, who or what is Smarty Pants ?

Although I think that books are indeed Twilight's best friends. Well, until she discovered the true Magic of Friendship, that is.

She lost her home. That library was filled with fond memories of times spent with friends and it was a place of comfort for her. It can actually be pretty upsetting to lose something like that. Sure it wasn't one of her friends, but that doesn't change the fact that it was an important part of her life ever since she moved to ponyville. Some people view their home as something important to them, and it can hurt to have to give it up.

 

 Don't you remember in "Trade ya" when Twilight talked about how much some of those books meant to her? All the happy memories connected to them? They may not have been that important in the grand scheme, but that doesn't mean they didn't have personal value. Losing personal belongings can hurt.

If one were to task me with writing an episode like this, we'd be looking at a tender and sentimental story of Twilight saying goodbye intercut with each character remembering a wacky adventure they had in and around the treehouse. It'd be like that one episode of Ed Edd n Eddy with the giant pancake, but not ridiculous.

If they do discuss the tree house I bet it will dealt with in a way we can't even conceive of now. I don't expect them to be overly sententamential, they rarely are in the show.

I think it's an interesting concept for the episode if something like this does happen(Which it seems like something like this will eventually be bound to happen.) 

 

But I suppose we won't really know until the episode comes out. 

 

It could certainly turn out to be a good episode, I guess we shall just have to see what the writers do.

 

I do think Twilight will show some kind of feeling for losing the library, considering the memories she had within it. It wouldn't make sense if she just brushed it off and they never touched on it the whole season. It would just be like "Oh, well I lost my home I've lived in for the whole time I've been in Ponyville, and I've had so many great times here, but you know, oh well". 

 

So yeah, I think the episode is likely to happen in some way, how exactly we won't really know until the episode comes out as I've said.

Although it is too early to tell, I'm expecting to see Twilight show some pretty raw emotion in the episode. Emotion that I think we would never have seen before, almost like a depression if you will.

I think that should take the biggest part of the episode. A sad episode where she remembers everything linked to her library would work in my opinion.

Hmm, it could work, but the second half should be about Twilight recreating a portion of the library to be placed in the castle while those closest to her help her recreate all she lost in the library.
