I think ive seen that show a few times in the past. It was ok,nothing really scary tho.

This show aired in Finland years ago under the title "Pelottaako?" ("Scared?"), and yes, some of the episodes used to scare the crap outta me.

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story the story of how I certainly do remember that show and recall it being on CITV back in the 1990s.

 

I quite enjoyed it, it was a good fun and well made show and spooked me.

 

I remember being really scared by the Tail of the Lonely Ghost episode, that creepy ghost living in that spooky old house writing Help Me on the walls frightened me and wasn’t something I got over for about 4 years or so, and still gives me chills watching it as an adult.

Actually, this is one of those live action shows that current live action shows need to take notes from... well in my opinion anyway. I love the opening and the thing is the openings played on real phobias and didn't depend all that much on cheap scare tactics. It was a show that was like campfire ghost stories, but more epic. I will admit it got a bit lackluster as the series progressed into later seasons but it's all still pretty damn good compared to the shit nowadays.

It is kinda like Goosebumps in some respect but the story telling style is a bit different. The Goosebumps stories were told by the famous writer R.L. Stine. He has no relation to Are You Afraid Of The Dark however.

I don't remember too much. I remember really being scared of an episode where there was this zombie dude in the school pool born from pool chemicals.

Yea that one was very scary. I also like the kid in the pinball episode.
