that to me isnt how I hoped to see things but I have seen what you mean. But I dont get why we cant include everybody in the fandom and try to get by our differences. Love and tolerate. This is mybfirst forum after spending ages being called countless insults on yt and with guys like simon and scs it seems safe. Annoying when ya post a topic and get a message saying it or a similar one exists and it gets locked but yeah I like that but the fans are way too distant. I understand but this is the only place where I get to chat to bronies like me. If I can even call myself an actual brony.

Don't get me wrong. There's some merit to the system we do have and it allows others to talk about what they love regardless of whether they make friends out of it.

But love and tolerate is a totally BS slogan and I don't follow it in the slightest.

We do include everyone here but there's a massive difference between including and connecting with.

Coming from Youtube this place must seem like a haven. Youtube commenters are the worst of the worst but if you can find some new friends here, all's well. I just wouldn't expect to find it with everyone here.

well when it comes to comments on yt like your a child abuser and a gay fag and just way worse crap than even that this isnt just a haven this is paradiseand im glad im here now even if at the moment im not yet fully indoctrinated lol jk but yeah I still use yt for my music or to watch bronies react or even the parodies like sonic vs rainbow type stuff but thats my limit. I grow tired of the comments there. Like this vid I found about some theory on robin williams death and how the illuminati killed him and the worst part is he wasnt even dead 1 day. Thees no rules there so its internet hell like r34 or the likes. I love it here and even though I havent quite managed to adapt yet im glad I found this site.

Considered as a whole?  Fandom.  Though, admittedly, I don't even feel as though some of the members of my literal family are members of my family lol (or I like to pretend that they aren't).  But I have become close with two members in particular (who I'm just going to name right now because buck it): @KokuraiNoSenshi and @Pinkamena-Pills.  Those two are closer to family than mere fans, without question, and I haven't even known them that long.  Seriously, I already like them a hell of a lot more than I like my aunt or most of my cousins. :P  And there are several members that I admire for their posts and / or character.  So I picked option number three and acknowledge the potential for admiration and kinship and closeness within the fandom.  Which is a pretty cool thing, actually.  And this is a cynic typing all this!

I consider the fandom as a fandom, but the RFC is kinda like apple pie.

Quoting this ... cause ... that really got me.

*taps chest*

So of us are close and some of us aren't so we're a mix. Like some people on here, I've never seen at all while I was on here, but others I know. So we're like a family in some spots but not everywhere.

I think it's a fandom more than a family, but still it could be a mix of both in a way.

What's the character's name in your profile picture and which show is she from if she's from one?

I don't care what pony you like because I like everypony!

Just a fandom, in my opinion. The brony fandom is very large so it's near impossible to meet everyone, and even harder to become super close with everyone. Still, I've met some really great friends here, but I wouldn't call them family... I'm not really the type of person to call my friends "family" anyway though.
