Your OC's Fighting Style

The treepony army follows several simple maxims, beyond that, each soldier is expected to develop their own brand of ass-kicking.  An abridged list can be found below:

Everypony is on your team

That guy trying to fry you with lasers? He doesn't know it, but he secretly wants to be on your team.  Talking is a free action, so be sure to invite him and list off benefits if he's not convinced.  If he refuses, make sure he knows you'll always accept his friendship, then boot him to the moon.

There is no kill like overkill

If you're unsure if that zombie survived your tank treads, back up and try again.  Any explosion can be made better with more explosions.  Those bullets are worth less than your life, so don't feel like you're wasting them unless somehow you're running low.  In which case you should probably switch to rockets.

Backup your backup plans

Always have the Calvary on speed-dial, always bring twice as much ammunition as you can carry, always wear second-chance body armor, always carry concealed weapons, and always remember to bring a towel!

Never use the same trick twice

Unless the world is made of nails, and you've got a big hammer.  Faking dead, doing a barrel roll, or surprise hugs only work once on intelligent foes.  Then trick 'em by pulling the same trick again, because they weren't expecting THAT.

Being cool is the rule

Always make a dramatic entrance.  If you mess up your entrance, back up and try it again.  One liners are your greatest weapon.  Any weapon can be made cooler if you put your mind to it.  Sunglasses go with anything, and all giant robots must combine, transform, split into smaller bots, have some other cool gimmick or be consigned to the scrap heap.

Though my OC does not like to fight, when he has to, he relies on speed and cunning in his fights, using his magic to move himself at fast speeds, and adapting how he attacks so he can stop his enemy in its tracks without causing any more harm to anypony..

Quartz Aegis is more comfortable in using defense magic than she is in attacking. If she's up against an opponent who matches or surpasses her strength, she tries to tire it out first by mostly using defense spells. To save her own energy, she uses teleportation spells sparingly since they require a good deal of magic. Once she senses fatigue in her opponent, she then uses her magical attacks in an attempt to incapacitate it. So I guess Quartz relies more on strategy than on brawn. She rarely starts a fight going full force.

I would want my OC to be a baseball fighter, using a baseball bat. Surprisingly, you can use a baseball bat and some other baseball related things to make a moveset similar to PAC-MAN's. My neutral special would be to charge up a baseball, and as it charges, it sets on fire, and the more it charges, the ball goes faster and hits harder the more it charges, the flame also growing bigger. It doesn't set the opponent on fire, though. This is similar to PAC-MAN's neutral special, as he charges up a projectile to throw at the opponent. PAC-MAN's neutral special has the upper hand because instead of the same projectile growing stronger as he charges it, he instead charges it by the projectile changing, and different projectiles do different things. For example, his apple can be used for edge guarding and his key can be used for a kill move at high percentages. My side special would be to throw my bat in front of me, the bat spinning as it moves. I can control where my bat goes, too. Once my bat goes as far as it can go, I then launch myself toward wherever the bat is. This is similar to PAC-MAN's side special because he summons a power pellet, controls where he wants it to go, then launches himself toward wherever the pellet it. My side special has the upper hand as the bat spins in the air, it deals damage, where PAC-MAN's pellet doesn't deal damage as it moves. Unlike PAC-MAN's side special, my bat, of course, can not be eaten to recover health. My up special is to have a giant baseball bat hit me up from below. It hits me higher as it hits me more times and can last up to three bounces. This is similar to PAC-MAN's up special because his trampoline bounces his higher every bounce and lasts for up to three bounces. My up special has the upper hand because the baseball bat can attack for players below me, and my body can attack players above me, where PAC-MAN's up special can only attack players above him. My down special is to drop a machine that throws baseballs on both sides. This is similar to PAC-MAN's down special because he drops a fire hydrant, and projectiles come out of it too. I would call it a tie between how good it is compared to PAC-MAN's, because the baseballs being thrown on the sides deal damage, and the water coming out of PAC-MAN's hydrant pushes opponents away, and plus the water also comes out of the top. My neutral basic would be to simply swing my bat. If it hold it down on my opponent, my bat will swing twice and then I bring my bat down, swinging it back up. My side smash is me aggressively charging up my bat, and the more it charges, the more powerful it gets, of course. My up smash is to charge and then vertically and quickly move my bat up. My down smash is to charge and then spin my bat downward. My up tilt is to hold my bat with my magic. The bat's barrel is near my back, and then I quickly swing it upwards and then toward the bottom of my right hoof. My side tilt is to swing my bat sideways. That's pretty much it. My down tilt is to crouch and swing my bat 90 degrees. My neutral aerial is to spin my bat very quickly, dealing damage to the people around me. My fore aerial is to swing my bat from the front of my OC's body downward, and it can spike too. My back aerial is similar to PAC-MAN's I kick two of my hooves behind my OC's body. I don't use my bat for my down aerial because, well, how the heck are you supposed to use a bat for back aerial? My down aerial is to hold my bat downward, and then swing it side to side three times.

I'm pretty sure that's a full moveset for a Smash Bros character, sorry if I missed anything. I might have accidentally forgot that I am talking about my OC and not my human self, so might have used hand and feet instead of hooves. Tell me if you see any rpoblems here.

I'd actually like to change my OC Silhouette Dusk's fighting style. Rather than go all out, personally, she actually fights, using a pony sized mannequin. The puppet is loaded with all sorts of weapons, covered in black crystal to deflect magic, and can be used from a distance.  Any action Dusk wants, the puppet can execute as well as any trained soldier or martial artist. The only limit is her imagination. And her line of sight. She can even operate multiple dolls, controlling a whole army if she chose.

However, should the doll be compromised, she can begin fighting on her own with a vast arsenal of spells, dark magic and otherwise. Her preferred melee weapon is a black crystal broad axe in conjunction with a shield consisting of spinning saw blades. In unarmed combat, she is versed in boxing, wrestling, karate and judo, is is customary for her soldiers and guards.

  • 1 month later...

well mine would be using air, electricety and water magic (because my oc is really bad with other kinds of magic.) and he would probably just hit and run because he don't like to be close to his opponent if he really NEEDS to defend himself.

Well, the OC I am currently doting over, Lilith Crow, is a ranger. Thus, she does well both at range and up close. At range, she uses a bow, but up close, she uses a defensive style meant more for backing out then it does for destroying the attacker- lots of blocks and parries, but only a few quick stabs to take advantage of a dropped guard or an opening.

My Oc, being a human in the origin, learned many martial arts, the principals being:

The Jukenpo, a martial art based on fists

Taekwondo

Karate

He isn't afraid of fighting to the front, even when he limits his power to an extreme. He can aslo fights in a brutal and unorganized manner, like just hitting you (that's when he loses patience)

My OC Crescendo star is an expert at karate, or to be more precise shoto-kun.

He uses precise and strong movements to everwhelm his opponent while keeping a cool and collected head

My OC Shamrock Shambles' fighting style is an ancient technique. it's called "Accidentally tripping over their own tail, falling into a cart of oranges, causing the oranges to trip everypony in the area, trying to stand up, but accidentally slipping on an orange, going flying, and accidentally landing on someone, knocking both himself and the person they land on unconscious.". This fighting technique is difficult to master, and requires extremely bad luck.

The one OC i have is Enzo and Khris

Enzo is a unicorn.stag hybrid

Khris is a unicorn who's spirit is trapped in a sword.

Abilities

Enzo can manipulate raw magic forming solid projectiles out of raw mana and taking control of other's magical spells with effort

Khris was a master swordsman. He can direct Enzo's telekinetic grip on him so that Enzo can focus on other opponents.

Enzo, being a stag, has a strong attunement to natural magic, and gains mana from his surroundings ( aka storms ) to fuel stronger and more advanced spelss ( aka spell control spell )

Khris, being the spirit of a unicorn, can enchant himself, setting himself on fire or chilling himself to temperatures akin to liquid nitrogen. His tassel can also be extended to unnatural lengths from the pommel.

Fighting styles

>Fighting together

-The 2 minds working together gives the duo incredible battle awareness

-Enzo can wield Khris like a normal sword

-Enzo can also wield khris in a style similar to a hybrid of the shao lin meteor hammer and dart knife

-The end of Khris's tassel is hand-like, and can grab objects and enemies

-Enzo favours creating basic, solid blades out of raw magic that he uses in combat aside Khris when uncharged.

-When Enzo gathers enough mana from an external source, he favours creating magic wings out of mana for himself to gain the upper hand in battle. He also enjoys creating magical storms of raw mana and magically created projectiles to rain hell on his opponents.

Ezekiel practices "Rising Sun style" a martial art made by Zebra immigrants to Equestria incorporating their new homeland's ideals into their traditional practice.

The style involves a good deal of striking and acrobatic moves. Like Wushu for quadrupeds. Ezekiel is a very spiritual Zebra and sees his martial arts as a way of self-improvement.

My OC is mostly based on me, so he uses his speed to keep out of his enemy's reach, and prefers dodges and counter attacks to direct assault.

He often uses his tail as a distraction, or to strike at enemies behind him.

Although he is quite thin, he is strong enough to do serious damage, given the chance.

Finally, since he's a unicorn, his magic can be used to blind enemies, to add extra force to his hoof and tail strikes, or, when grappling, to apply pressure on his enemy's joints.

I've gotta keep on moving.
I got troubles on my mind.
