technology Computer Upgrade Help.

I have a computer. I love my computer. Sometimes, my computer loves me. In order to help my computer love me more and stop crashing due to errors in my display drivers, I want to upgrade my computer.

This is my System Now:

Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.

Model: ASUS Desktop PC M11BB Series

Processor: AMD A10-6700APU with Radeon HD Graphocs 3.70GHz

RAM: 8.00GB

I also have a Radeon R9 270x graphics card, but that will change to an NVIDEA GTX card soon.

I would like to upgrade my motherboard, since most of the USB slots in it are failing on me. If you have any recommendations for one, I'd greatly appreciate it! The only real thing I am looking for is for one that has more than 2 PCI-E slots, since I have a sound and video card installed, and that leaves me with no wireless card.

My price range is >$300

I can help you but i need to know the following: Where you would prefer to make your purchases. Whether or not you'll be using your current pc case. Which also includes what components you'll be transfering over to the new motherboard.

APU built systems can be difficult to upgrade sometimes as their smaller then usual pc cases won't handle normal size motherboard AND sometimes don't use normal motherboard standoffs.

I would prefer amazon or newegg, and I don't have the case it came with. I use the Thermaltake Dokker, and what do you mean " what components you'll be transfering over to the new motherboard" (asks the computer science major V_V) If you mean internal parts, I have 2 SATA Hard Drives,  Sound Blaster Sound Card , GTX 760 Video Card , and 3 fans. (one built into the case)

Alright you have decent case. Wasn't sure so had no clue if you were using the stock case. (which sucked judging from the picture) Is the CPU transferable? The specs say socket FM2 and DDR3 1333. THOSE were the components i was refering to.

Yea, an all-metal case with barely any breathing room was horrible, but no, the CPU is non-transferable V_V

and THAT is exactly what i meant, was the APU was permanently attached to the mobo. So it's new mobo+CPU+more ram?

what do you have for a power supply?
