ggg-2 3,555 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 In several episodes, the Crystal Empire is shown to be surrounded by snow, as well as being near, if not in, the Frozen North. So, how in the world do they stand that cold? Don't be a nerd. Join the herd!

Phoenix Flair 332 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 I always thought they were just made of crystal. Crystal doesn't ever even shiver.

Kuyon 43 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 The magic of friendship warms both their bodies and hearts I think this kinda. I think the empire's magic stabilizes the weather around it and also after Sombra I don't think the weather was that bad on the way. Always looking for RPs and partners. Feel free to approach me to chat or set up RPs. I do tend to favor skype but willing to try forums for RPs. http://ask-lightningfeather.tumblr.com/ (Feel free to send asks) ^^

Sunny Fox 5,961 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 The whole area within the Empire itself is magically heated or something. Probably or something. Pretty much this. Look how far out the snow has melted by the end of the episode: The light and love of the Crystal Ponies keeps the city warm... somehow... It's magic, okay? Happy minion of The Fabulous One! Nature's Spell 526 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 It almost appears that the cold in the Empire, similar to the cold in Hearth's Warming Eve, was created by disharmony alone. Sombra. Once light and love returned the cold was banished. 1 Princess Twilight Sparkle: Princess of Friendship Princess Luna: Princess of the Night My short stories

And don't forget, October 9 is Leif Erikson Day. Hinga dinga durgen.
Dattebayo 2,850 August 29, 2014 Share August 29, 2014 (edited) My guess would be magic heat and stuff. The same way Eskimos, Scandinavians and Greenlanders do - they tough it out and get used to it like the Vikings did. And don't forget, October 9 is Leif Erikson Day. Hinga dinga durgen.
