I have watched some of his videos and though some of them were really good too. I however do not agree with how he is "Leaving the fandom" Its fine to say.. "I don't care for the community, show etc. and have some issues with how they are now compared to before." But he basically slapped the fandom with broad sweeping generalizations. Even though he said its not everyone.. he painted a picture like it was 98% of the fandom. As others have said the show and community has changed. All for the better or just evolved is up to each person. I have made great friends thanks to the show and community and am still happily active in it for the most part. One point he mentioned about people skipping the bad stuff in his video.. I am not surprised. Most people don't want to hear bad things about something they enjoy. Is that bad? Mixed bag at best. Most people avoid things that make them angry, sad or upset. (exception to it being haters not that I am calling him one though he did use some things they do sometimes) He didn't have to release a video of him just short of attacking everyone. If he wanted to he could have just said. "I am not interested in the show or the community any more. I may not agree with a lot of things going on anymore but I am just going to bow out." Instead he made almost a drama piece how he was leaving. Sorry to see a guy who seemed like a real smart person leave but I can't support with how he is leaving in the end. Just my opinion.

My head canon I made that I really like for changeling is that there is male and female and they all look different. In Canterlot they all looked the same as a military tactic. Seeing 100s of the same looking thing approaching has a natural intimidation factor. I like the idea that they were in "uniform" so to speak in the battle to further aid in confusion giving them an advantage.

Oh no... that means my OC is going to die real soon.. he is 25 and a pegasus... that would suck lol.

My favorite theory I heard long ago was the the Nightmare moon prophecy was actually not about Nightmare moon.

In magical duel she actually didn't really get any more stronger (or at least use any improved power against her.) She mealy used illusions to make her seem stronger. In the finale she was actually using Celestia, Luna, and Cadance's powers too so she was not being Goku like it she was just the container of the powers. I am actually glad to see her having grown as a character. Remember the show is just not about power struggles. There is everyday life issues where power has no bearing.

Logically it makes sense a bit. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I don't know if she would really help though unless she was reformed. If she did intervene I imagine she would stay away and the moment both where at their weakest she would try to crush both sides.

Yeah I saw some of his comments... I can't understand how his line of thinking could even work. Well I know that even if he isn't fired they will probably watch him like a hawk. If he does something like this again I can almost say for certain they will cut him loose.

Was there a legit picture of said email if not then its likely not true. From what I have gathered about the owner of the OC they are an attention seeker and something like that would so fall into that category of something they would do. ^^

I had no idea of this drama until about 1 hour ago. I did some research on what was said and I will admit I don't fully understand what is going on but from what I do.. The OC was from a "hateful person(s)" who have been anti men, brony etc. That is unfortunate really. I highly do not agree with that line of thinking. As for the writer's response. I disagree with this opinions that he posted. (not mentioning any here because I am not opening up that can of fish.) His views do see incredibly short and one sided though. I honestly don't think he mean any harm by including the OC nor was he advocating any of that stuff by including the OC. While it doesn't make it okay or right the drama seems to be so much worse than it should be on both sides.

I wear a pendant of an alicorn amulet at work. (been doing it for a bit over 3 months) Only had one person recognize what it was. She was positive about it though. Had a few other "I like your necklace/pendant." comments too.

She and the others trusted Discord they all thought he would stay loyal but he slipped. Not really her fault she did what was right. She asked Twilight to hold the magic because even if Discord could sense it Tirek couldn't and it was a last ditch move in order to buy some time till Twilight could figure something out really. Just how I see it. ^^

The point about letting Twilight handle the Nightmare moon bit. She saw the potential in Twilight and knew it was her that could help. Remember back in the flash back Nightmare moon was strong and almost beat Celestia. She knew NMM would likely come for her first and or that she might not be able to win so she sent Twilight as kind of a secret mission to make friends since she perhaps saw the potential in her to be the new possible element of magic since NMM would not go after some seemingly random pony. As for the Chrysalis fight.. Celestia wasn't weak she was infact still very strong. It was the love Chrysalis had stolen from Shining Armor that had given her a power boost. I bet in time had she been separated from that source of food/energy she would lose that power and become weaker than Celestia again. In old times it was very common for a ruler to send knights and such to fight for their country/land. That is basically what the mane 6 are, Equestrian knights protecting the kingdom.

At the moment I have two. Lightning Feather Iris Star I plan on making at least one more OC maybe 2.

Haven't met one in real life. In a weird way I kinda want to. I want to open a haters eyes and at least move them to being neutral. Being able to take a little hate out of the would would be wonderful since I feel this world already has far to much.

I want to see some griffon, changeling canon. Changelings have so much potential. I do hope if they do maybe not all of them are bad. I like the idea that Chrysalis was like that but some might be good.

Lauren Faust wanted to make a show where parents could sit down and watch it with their kids without wanting to puke afterwards. The show was well crafted with interesting characters who have both strengths and weakness. This make them feel alive and usually you can relate to them in some way or another. The show also does a good job of not falling into the "girl show" stereotypes. They don't have slumber parties, tea parties and giggle about boys or just being popular in each episode. Backing up the deep character is wonderful animators, artists, and voice actors who make the world colorful and interesting without going overboard. The actors give the character that extra bit of life. The show is also supported by wonderful writers and musical talents. The background music does its job and adds to the show without being to strong or distracting and the musical numbers are catchy and well crafted The other staff behind the show play equally important roles. As others have said the only way to really understand is to watch it for your self.

You can post a thing for them in the character database here. I am not an expert but I am more than willing to let you bounce ideas off me if you wanted. Sometimes helping others with OC gives me ideas.

I think one step that might be imporant especially if you want to RP. Give them a trait or two you identify with (especially for a first OC). If you identify with them it makes it easy to get into character a bit. My first/main OC, shares a few traits with me. He is very loyal and cares about his family and friends just like me. As other have said make sure to give them a flaw or two. They don't have to be a crippling flaw either. Maybe a touch of shyness, being a slight klutz or some fear can add some depth to your character. (even better if its a fear and you have a reason and story behind it)

Don't really have a story of meeting one outside of cons. But I wear an alicorn amulet pendant while at work and I did have a girl recognize where it was from.

I believe I really got into the show around late February 2012. I remember I watched 1 episode like 2-3 months before that and wasn't really interested. A few weeks I think before putting your hoof down I started watching the episodes on my tablet (few each night) and had quickly caught up. I remember putting your hoof down was the first new episode I think I saw. Not sure why I went from no interest to being highly interested.. but it just kind of happened.. and I regret nothing!

Lightning Feather: 1.Believes he is reformed knows he is still a prankster and has likely gotten some pranks from him due to being a close friend to Twilight. 2. He is curious about them. Being a pony who loves knowledge and learning he would like to meet one as long as they were friendly to learn about them. 3. All. Honestly though Twilight would be more likely again because he is close friends with her. 4 Unsure. Probably think it was some kind of joke. Iris Star: 1. Assumes he is reformed but has has little to no contact with him. 2. A bit more scared of them. (ironically my first RP with her is with a changeling) She was in Canterlot when they attacked visiting parents. 3. Its a toss up between Celestia or Luna. She has had very little contact with Twilight, and knows almost nothing about Cadance. 4. Unsure. Would also likely think its a prank or something.

I would tell them if it ever came up. No point in just bringing it up out of nowhere. If afterwards the continued to be against bronies and and insulting them I would remind them that I am one and their friend to try and prove them wrong about the stereotypes and such. If after that they still continue I would distance my self from them. I am loyal to my friends but being around someone like that is poisonous and in the end I would probably be better off not around such a hateful person.

Well I love the color blue so I thought that would make a nice coat color. The original idea was to be blonde but I ended up not liking the look against the blue coat. I ended up with the orange and liked it. For Iris. I had been wanting to make a new OC for a bit and a friend linked me to a site with color pallets. I found a muted grey blue and though blond would go well with that for a mane. I also was shown a pallet that I liked as well (peach coat and slightly rosy colored mane) my friend sketched a concept picture of here in both pallets for me (because she is awesome and fast) I showed my other friends the two of them and they all agreed that the blue/gold scheme was better and I liked it more as well so that is what I settled on. ^^
