Would you be friends with a creep

Not the harassing ones. But the one going on the internet to search for chicks. (Unusual if girls have been or are like that, but i doubt guys care even if they did stuff like that :P)

While I don't go looking for a booty call on the internet I am arguably a bit of a "creep" myself so yeah I probably would be. I am already friends with a guy who was in the past a bit of a hound dog though I think he might have calmed down on that a bit.

Given how I'm often the one being creeped on, I'd have to say no. It's intimidating, degrading, and more often than not the guy drops you like a stone the moment you indicate you're not interested in a relationship anyway.

I am a rather trusting person my nature, and it hurts a lot whenever I find out a person whose friendship I value isn't actually interested in that friendship at all. While it doesn't stop me making new friends, there's always that lingering fear that my friendship may be seen as a 'consolation prize'... and it drives me insane.

Thankfully, I have a number of absolutely amazing friends who've proved this isn't always the case, and I love them dearly.

I'd rather be friends with someone who values a strong relationship with another rather than someone who automatically sees 'booty-call' or whatnot.

I'm sorry, but it just ticks me off when a member of my own sex pulls that crap, and I feel bad for women who feel uncomfortable around men because of that. I mean, I don't blame them one bit.

I'm not saying some women don't do the same, but I rarely see that.

Honestly, I might develop a crush with someone (whether IRL or on a forum), but I'd prefer to develop a friendship first. I mean, even when the romance is gone or not mutual, at least you have that friendship to hang onto. THAT'S key!

Well...there's nothing wrong with guys looking for gals online. That being said, they should have a certain amount of respect for themselves and to others, not excluding. You do have to watch out for heartbreakers, the ill willed, and people whom are overly nice. Those are your red flags.

I'm friends with a few creeps and the benefit is that you always have some crazy story to share about their creepiness.

This. But that's all thy have, is stories. They don't have my respect because I think it's a terrible mindset to have when the same time caving into pointless lust is better spend improving an aspect of their life. I often find it leaves real relationships they have with people very one sided and jaded and their relationships never last that long. They always try and tell me that 'I need a woman' ro something stupid to the tune of pointless fornication.

that kind of stuff you see a lot of on construction sites. I feel like I"m amungst primal apes at that point...

Creeps have to have buddies too.

They say to pick your friends carefully and while I do have better friends than others, I think it helps to have a few friends around who you like but make very bad decisions or have a slightly twisted personality. Plus, you can steer them in the right direction before they do too much damage.

Or at least try to steer them in the right direction. Some of these fools just don't listen at all.

I have tried to tame many a wild stallion, some just don't want to. So yeah, i pick my friends real careful now days. I look at it more in terms of a behavioral thing. I'm going to notice aspects about your behavior before you know it. It's becaue I left those negative behaviors behind, that I see them so clearly when others do not. Both a  blessing, and a curse.

Well we all have negative parts to our behavior. No matter how much one tries to temper them, they sometimes come out. As long as a person suppress the worst parts of their personality, such as being a little creepy or something since this topic is about creeps, I don't see anything wrong with having friends that are far from perfect.

It's when they start screwing around with me or one of my other good friends that I draw the line though.

Haha this is so true, I'm friends with a creep!

I think part of the reason that he is so creepy is likely to be the fact that he doesn't have many friends and is unimaginable socially awkward!

I think I also feel like sometimes he needs someone to look after him, in any case I believe love is for everyone and not jsut normal people!

As long as I get on with the other person I don't mind there personality so being weird or creepy is fine to me.

Being creepy could make them who they are so yeah I would be friends with a creep as long as there to talk to and not secluded.

Im going to assume by "creep" you mean "not compliant to societal norms",with that being said i don't see the issue with being friends with "creeps" as long as they are good people -- yes "creeps" can be good people despite what im sure society/media would say by default.  :maud:

Also,im damn sure i fall under your definition of "creep" so i guess anyone that is friends with me is in-fact friends with a "creep"..and so what, friendship doesn't judge the different,it sees the good inside and accepts them.  :maud:

Also im sure some of society considers bronies/fans of *insert pony* ect "creeps",so we are all "creeps" in a sense..and so what.  :maud:

It depends entirely on the definition of "creep."  It's possible there are people who would consider me a creep due to some of the things I've written or material I've deliberately perused on the internet.  I'm not and have never been the type to pursue some casual hook-up online, though; nor have I ever been particularly interested in stalking lady ppl on Facebook or the like lol.  I already place myself squarely in the friend zone.  Besides, I'm currently in a relationship.

Would I be friends with a creep?  Again, depending on your precise and arbitrary definition, I may already be friends with some "creeps." xD  But I'm not friends with anyone that, to the best of my knowledge, pursues women (online or otherwise) for the sole purpose of shallow, fleeting gratification.  If you catch my drift.
