They're all available. Just because someone has a position doesn't mean you can't have it too. At this point, I'll discourage being a defense attorney, since we already have three of them and just one prosecutor. Although if you still really want defense attorney, go right ahead.

Im hoping to take the judge since its fun to play the part of a clueless and sorta idiotic guy. Besides, im going to suck at being an attorney/prosecutor.

I'll start whenever we have a solid idea. Really, I'm excited to start as soon as possible, so there won't be any waiting beyond how long it takes to get a good initial state of the crime scene!

 

Maybe we could implement some of the elements from the games? Like the Psyche locks.

Of course! We could also extend that to things like Apollo's 'Perceive' and Athena's 'Mood Matrix'. Perhaps everyone can choose one of the mechanics they like and then we'll come up with a way to implement it for their character. Or perhaps you could come up with an all-new truth-detecting ability for your character? I'd like to hear what everyone thinks about this.

So, the murder occured in the Badlands, and the trial is being held in Dodge Junction? Sounds good!

Here's my idea: The autopsy states that the cause of death was electrocution, but the victim was alive briefly after the electric shock, and the estimated time of death was between 10:00PM and 2:00AM the next day. This causes Storm to be suspected, because everyone thinks he used a lightning cloud to kill the victim, but whether or not that actually happened is of course up to us to determine during the RP!

 

Speaking of keeping the mechanics of the Ace Attorney series, I might create a section of the first post be used as a 'court record', where all evidence and the people involved in the case are recorded, and I'll edit it each time something changes. The autopsy report will be the first piece of evidence in there (after the obligatory attorney's badge).

Sorry, I somehow completely missed your post at first! Were you hoping to join as a sidekick character for one of the attorneys, like Maya or Trucy? Because if so, great, just tell me what OC you want and you're in! By the way, because there are three defense attorneys and one prosecutor, perhaps it would be best if you were the prosecutor's sidekick so we can even up the sides?

Not really, I just came up with that on the spot. Besides, I'm avoiding coming up with too much of a story so we can still come up with lots of things during the RP. It is quite hard to come up with a good murder story!

That wasn't intentional, but you're right, I have made this become very similar to Turnabout Storm (which I've also watched). Maybe we should change the murder weapon to differentiate it. But the reason I came up with a lightning bolt for the murder weapon was that it seemed very fitting for Storm's character. Coming up with something else that would cause Storm to be suspected will be difficult.

I'll probably do something similar with Aero too. As a witness, he has a lot he can lie about too. In fact, during the RP, anyone could just make their character say a lie, and have it trigger someone else's truth-finding ability. Everyone lying about something is just one of the many staples of an Ace Attorney trial, after all! Just try to avoid abusing it. Don't make your character find out everything from their ability. But at the same time, don't let your character get away with lying all the time.
